Last fall during the book tour, I visited a bunch of cupcake bakeries and sweet shops in just about every city I passed through. Miette was one of my favorites in San Francisco. If you get a chance, make sure to give them a visit.
They have two locations. One in the Ferry Building and one on Octavia Street. They also have one in Oakland and another opening later this year in Larkspur, California.
In San Francisco, the one on Octavia Street is bigger than the Ferry building location, but both are just as cute as can be.
I loved the colors and the display of sweets. So did Julie.
Everywhere you turn are the cutest treats with adorable packaging.

Miette recently released a cookbook filled with recipes of their signature sweets.
Pretty awesome.
And pretty cute. I love the scalloped pages.
It ties in beautifully with the shop accents.

I made the Tomboy Cake. So good. It’s made with chocolate and cocoa.
And I must say, it feels good to feel like baking again.

The last cookbook I acquired was an Italian pizza and bread book, for my 13 year old son, who is super into cooking and baking. It was a quarter at the school book sale, and really paid off. He now makes individual pizzas with to-order crusts for each of us on a regular basis – yum!

Well the last cookbook I got was actually my Cake Pop book! The hubs got it for me for my birthday! And recently me and a friend have started having “pop parties” every couple weeks, just for fun! It’s awesome!

My parents just bought me the Big Book of Cupcakes from Betty Crocker and I’d really like to get the cookbook Baked:New Frontiers in Baking.
The last cookbook I acquired was an old Betty Crocker cookbook from the 1960’s that my mom gave me. It has great vintage pictures and recipes in it, along with my mom’s hand written notes from over the years. My favorite recipe out of it is Berries on a Cloud. You can’t go wrong with that! It’s a book I will always cherish.
Crazy enough the last cookbook that I received was Bakerella’s! My mom gave it to me for an Easter present!! This miette cookbook looks adorable though! Love the scalloped pages!

The last cookbook I bought was ‘Sugar Baby’ by Gesine Bullock-Prado. So different from all my other (and I have a lot of them!) baking cookbooks. The author is the sister of Sandra Bullock and owns a bakery in VT. Her first book, ‘Confections of a closet master baker’ was an excellent read with some great recipes.

The last cookbook I purchased was earlier this year from the Barnes and Noble bargain area called Vegetarian Cooking. But my favorite is my Mom’s Better Homes and Garfen cook book from the 1950’s. I have the 76th anniversary edition as well. It’s fun to compare the two with the older recipes.

the most recent cookbook I have is my sister gave me Julia Child’s “Way to Cook” cookbook in a French themed basket full of goodies for my birthday. Then she did an Italian themed suitcase for Christmas…so many yummy goodies in there. We are going to start doing this for each other for our birthdays (there are five sisters in my family)…I have the suitcase now so I will be purchasing a Thai themed cookbook soon for her suitcase adventure to Thailand (she loves Thai food).

The next cookbook -THIS ONE. While reading the post I was thinking I need to get this for my daughter, Meghan. She’s 12 and has begun cooking – we have both sides of the family putting together family recipe cookbooks for her. When I saw the scalloped edging on the cookbook, that really made me want to buy it for her – what a perfect gift for a girl whose first word was CAKE -really!!
The last cookbook I bought was from a garage sale, The Big Bite Book of Burgers by Meg Jansz. Before that I bought The Pioneer Womans Cook Book which I got an autograph in it, for my son and myself. We waited in her hometown, which is our hometown too, for a couple of hours for us to get to meet her. Just love it! My husband really likes the hamburger book too.

I wouldn”t know what to buy in that bakery. Everything looks yummy. My mom just gave me the SuperChef collection of magazines. She collected it a long time ago and the recipes always turn out great. Her cousine was getting ride of her collection so she thaught of me. So glad you’re back baking and in shape.

The Herbal Cookbook from Melon Patch Herbs was the last cookbook I bought. It’s absolutely wonderful! Every recipe I have tried has become a favorite. They are at the downtown St. Paul Farmers Market. Check them out if you’re in the area.

I’m hoping to get my hands on Ashley English’s Dairy book. (It’s kind of a cookbook, right?) Then, I need to get a milking cow, and I can go crazy (perhaps literally) making all sort of cheese and yogurt.

The last cookbook I purchased was “Cake Pops” by Bakerella. My daughter told me about this book and I just had to have it. I really love the cute little cakes. I made the Cupcake Bites this weekend and I had so much fun. They are adorable and my husband loved them. I can’t wait until the second cookbook comes out! Thanks!!

I can’t remember my last cookbook acquisition. My husband put a suspension on new cookbooks. ( My shelves overfloweth!) But, I’d love to have Cake Pops or PW’s book!

Believe it or not, I splurged and bought two! Chewy Gooey Crispy Crunchy by Alice Medrich and Clinton Street Baking Company Cookbook. Divine.
The last cookbooks I acquired were several vintage cookbooks from my grandmother that she gave me at my bridal shower last week.
My favorite is a 1950’s publication of Better Homes and Garden’s.
My birthday was a few weeks ago, and I received several cookbooks, but my FAVORITE new cookbook is the first Baked book. I’m so excited to start trying their treats out!

The last cookbook I got was Cake Pops!! Although, this one looks amazing too. I love making home made marshmallows, but I must say that they create QUITE a mess!!

I actually just bought ” Cake Pops”. I just made 2 batches of pops for a bridal shower tonight! I’m obsessed. They were soooo fun to make. I am sure they will be a hit at the party. I can’t wait to try more fun elaborate pops.
The last cookbook I got was Susie Fishbein’s Kosher by Design: Lightens Up (or the Passover one; I got them both at the same time, together with Kelly Rudnicki’s Food Allergy Mama’s Bake Book).

Last one I got was the America’s Test Kitchen Family Cookbook. I have my eye on a few of the Gooseberry Patch cookbooks.
The last cookbook I bought was Southern Living: Off the Eaten Path, love it. My next cookbook will probably be Southern Living Annual 2011 later this year, unless I come across something I have to have.

The last cookbook I bought isn’t really a cookbook at all – it’s a wonderful exploration of tastes and flavours. I bought The Flavour Thesaurus by Niki Segnit. If you don’t already own a copy, you should totally get one – I reckon you’d love it!
The last cookbook was a grilling cookbook but I want to get your cakepop one from amazon. I’ve been meaning to write and tell you that I was going to buy a cake pop maker but after seeing your YouTube video on how to make them we did it your way. Absolutely delicious. We like coffee so I added a couple coffee shots to the crumbled cake And icing definitely YUM! ThNks so much for having these resources for us.

The last cookbook I received was Julia Child’s 1st edition “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.” It smells like an old library book and was definitely loved by a cook. Really would like a copy of PW’s cookbook.
I just borrowed Martha Stewart’s Cupcakes from the library and Love it! I made the shark and sand dune cupcakes yesterday for my own birthday party. They were a big hit! This will be my next cookbook to own. I have hundreds. I LOVE cookbooks!
