KitchenAid Giveaway and Cake Pop Con Weekend

I had the most wonderful, incredible, emotional and unforgettable few days at the first-ever international cake pop conference in Philadelphia this weekend hosted by KCBakes. I was the keynote speaker and shared my story of creating cake pops back in 2008. It was the most humbling experience talking to so many people whose lives have been touched by cake pops. From simply inspiring creativity in the kitchen to completely changing the way people make a living through home businesses and large scale bakeries, pop products, boxes, books and more – Cake Pops are so much more than just a little ball of cake on a stick.

Now … since I was away from the kitchen this past weekend, I didn’t have a chance to bake anything fun for you today. So I thought I’d continue the cake pop love and give away something here on the blog that I also gave away at the conference.

  15. We don’t really have Thanksgiving in Australia, but for Christmas Day, my Mum always makes a Pavlova that we have with fresh berries and thick double cream. YUM!

  57. Recently switched to roasted butternut squash…peel, cube, add little each, oil, salt & pepper & bake…sooo good!

  68. Hi. This is a very awesome prize. I love to give this to my mom for Christmas. She wants the mixer so badly and I want to give her something special and something I know she will LOVE for Christmas. She cooks a lot so this will be so helpful for her. Then, she doesn’t need to mix by hand anymore.

  85. I’m not American, but Spanish (Ibiza); therefore, in my country it is not celebrated, but what is certain is that I am clearly fan of American culture so many times I’ve seen recipes for thanksgiving day; in my case if I had to pick one I would choose a PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE.

  87. My stepmom’s Famous Sweet Potatoes, mashed into a puree with Morsems of pineapple, pecans and brown sugar. Spread into a baking dish and then topped with pineapple rings and marshmallows!
    Baked in the oven until the marshmallows start to brown slightly!
    Yummmmmm!

    Crimson Pie!!

    Fresh Cranberries, fresh blueberries & an orange (rind & all) baked into a flaky pastry crust! The first year it appeared as “surprise dessert”, but it’s become a family staple at our table!

    We have been telling the children (now in their 30’s) that we can tell it’s going to be a good year because the number of desserts outnumber the vegetables on the Thanksgiving table!

  189. I love to eat pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving. My mom taught me to make it a bit more custard-like by adding one more egg, more sugar to taste, and a bit of flour–plus a good bit of whipped cream on top.
