It’s time to pick winners from all the comments? These were some of the best, feel good responses and oh my goodness can I come over on Christmas Eve? So many wonderful memories are going to be happening this year too. Hope you all have happy holidays!
And now for the winners…
We usually spend christmas eve with my side of the family but, this year will be different since my mom will be spending Christmas Eve with my sisters :(
I love all of the baking. My grandmother taught me how to make toffee the Christmas before she passed away…it wouldn’t be Christmas without her toffee.
My favorite part of the holiday season is the time I get to spend with family. It’s the only time in the year when we all get together (the foods not bad either! :).
My favorite part of the holidays is the food…the smell of cinnamon and vanilla, a warm house on Christmas Day as the food makes its way to the table, and watching the family enjoy dinner together. Thanks for the great giveaway!
My family always spends Christmas eve the same way. Chicken pot pie for dinner, then ice skating at city hall under all the pretty lights. A warm thermos of hot chocolate and some gingerbread cookies for dessert!
We always spend Christmas eve with my parents, but not always at home. Last year we spent it travelling to puerto Rico to try and thaw our bones.
P.s. saw your book signing :)
On Christmas Eve we gather our children (five sweet babes) around and read the Nativity Story. Next we sing Christmas carols, followed by watching the Rankin Bass special “Twas The Night Before Christmas,” then we leave out cookies and milk for Santa. While we are doing that the Christmas Eve Elf always sneaks in and leaves a gift the kids get to open then. It’s always pajamas, but they look super cute for Christmas morning pictures. When we get the chance we LOVE spending time with our extended families too, but we live across the continent from them so unfortunately it doesn’t happen too often. I would LOVE a signed copy of your holiday book to go with my original cake pops book. My daughter and all 4 sons would also LOVE the cake pops toys =).
My favorite thing about the holidays is all the lights, the trees, and the occasional snow we get here in Texas. Seeing all holiday decor puts me in the holiday spirit. I also love watching my kids open presents!!!! Seeing their smiling faces let me know I’ve done good.
We have started a new Christmas Eve tradition. Well, we’ve been doing it for 4 years now. The kids get to open one present, usually a book and pj’s. But we have been known to give them a family game that we all then play.
Our whole family gets together on Christmas Eve and we have a giant feast. Then all the little kids get to open one gift (it usually is Christmas PJS for them to wear). So much fun being with Family and friends and celebrating the Holiday :-)
My favourite part of the holidays is having our family together, under one roof. The adults acting like kids again and the kids thrilled to open their gifts. Its also a time for the best and tastiest meals cos mum does the cooking. And need I say more about the desserts, yum in my tum. We definitely try to feauture a “bakerella” inspired recipe to wow the spouses :) good times, good fun. Good food….I don’t need anything else for the holidays.
That cake pop set is adorable. If chosen, we might have to add making cupcake pops to our holiday traditions. ;-)
My favorite part of the holiday season is making ornaments for family and friends. It is a tradition that my grandma began when I was little and I continue on today. I love looking at the ornaments as we put them on the tree each year.
Christmas Eve at our house is usually spent making and drinking mulled wine, I help my mum prepare veggies for the next day. There is a lot of chatting, listening to Christmassy songs. The tree is ALWAYS up and the twinkly lights are on, there’s always a ton of candles lit to add to the ambiance. Then we all curl up on the sofa to watch Festive movies. :P
Christmas baking and wrapping presents is definetly the best part ever!!!!
My family and I have our family meal on Christmas Eve and open presents at midnight. We spend all day Christmas Eve cooking and baking different desserts to serve with our meal, it is a special time because we all forget about our differences and come together as a family.
My favorite part of Christmas is when my extended family gets together to celebrate. The food is always wonderful and the company couldn’t be better!
i always spent my christmas day with the entire family. My mother is a christmas-child and celebrates here birthday in the morning with a brunch. After that we’re going to the center of Frankfurt/Germany and listen to the wonderful churchbells which are belling for half an our in a melody. In the evening we’re eating Fondue and i’m always the person who makes the dessert. This Time i think about a cinnamon-parfait with hot cherrys :)
ever since I was very young, we acted out the nativity story. The kids would be the wiseman, Mary & Joseph, & we would have our dog be baby Jesus ( or sometimes a doll). My dad when then read the passage out of the bible. Then we would have hot chocolate, stirred with candy canes & then open one present. It was our new PJ’s of course!
My family goes to Mass followed by appetizers back at the house & a surprise visit by Santa Claus for the grandsons and later we attend dinner out at a local waterside restaurant.
Christmas Eve is always spent with the in-laws having a nice meal together and then opening some presents. We usually have hot chocolate and a fun dessert along with it.
On Christmas Eve, we always go to 5 pm Mass with my parents. When we get back, we have oyster stew as part of dinner, and then we open presents at their house!
On Christmas Eve we always watch a Christmas movie as a family and the kids each get to open up one gift before bed! Of course it alway there new PJ’s! LOL Now the kids just look at us ask what colour they got this year!LOL I think is probably also my favorite part of the Holidays. On Christmas Eve there is no Hussle and Bussle, just fun and quiet family time!!!
We spend Christmas Eve at home baking and decorating cookies for Santa. We have a quiet low key night watching Christmas specials. As quiet as you can get with a very excited 4 year old!
My favorite part is to see the kids excitement and when they read about Jesus birth from the kids bible, and to trying to recreate my moms and my mother in law christmas recipes. They came out always a bit different but that i guess is what will make them “my recipe” in the future.
Christmas Eve is a special time in our home. It begins with a festive dinner followed be candlelight Mass in our church. Back home, a few gifts are opened and then its brownie sundae time!
Christmas Eve and the whole holiday season is usually very busy! We often have more than one family reunion on a same day, so we travel a lot around the province.
My favorite part of the holidays is spending time with friends and family. My fiancé and I are having some type of party or family gathering every weekend in December. I love it!!!
Christmas eve is generally chaotic between working the morning shift and celebrating with two different families in the evening. I wouldn’t trade it for the world though (except maybe the work part)!
Always used to spend Christmas Eve taking my sister to do her Christmas shopping. First year without her this year……..Maybe start a new tradition with my granddaughter.
We go out for Chinese food and then to a movie…..typical Jewish Christmas eve! LOL
My favorite part of the holiday season is getting together with family and baking. Love it!
On Christmas Eve we go to my parents along with all my cousins on my mother’s side of the family. These are the cousins I am closest with- they are like siblings. And our kids think they are siblings instead of cousins We eat, drink, be merry, and plot ways to get the gift we want in Dirty Santa (which isn’t dirty at all!)! One of my favorite nights of the entire year!
I usually spend Christmas Eve with friends as I see my family the next day. We might make a light dinner together and watch a Christmas movie!
Christmas Eve is usually spent at my in-laws, cooking and eating a huge meal, and opening gifts.
My favorite Christmas tradition is visiting the Creation Museum’s Christmastown. It is beautiful and a very special family night each year.
On Christmas Eve, I insist on having a “traditional” evening. We drink hot chocolate and watch a movie, going to sleep very late. When I was a kid, I used to try to stall, maybe so I could catch Santa Claus, but it never worked, I just fell asleep. In the morning we open our presents after breakfast. My favorite part of Christmas is decorating. Wait no, baking! No, getting presents… uh… can’t decide!
My favorite parts about the holiday season is seeing my students sooo excited, having time off, and spending it with my family!
We always go out for a Chinese food dinner on Christmas Eve. We once lived in a very small town where that was the only restaurant open on that night, and it became a tradition.
Candlelight Christmas Eve service… and cookies!
I love spending the holiday season just looking at decorations. The food is also amazing.
For 61 years I have spent Christmas Eve’s at my mother’s home. We always have a great meal always consisting of all of my mom’s great cooking, then we go to church and back home for family games.
It’s gotta be Christmassy snuggly pyjamas – all 6 of us (and now other halves!) cosying up by the fire watching a Christmas movie and all up on the landing for ‘The night before Christmas’ which still 25 years running my father gets it wrong! Then all to bed just to hear my mother franticallypling Sellotape and wrapping paper!
Magical.
Christmas Eve we usually spend with our family around a table!!!!
My Christmas eve is spent listening to parang and either baking or still cleaning .
We love to spend Christmas away from all the rush… sunbathing in the Caribbean
Ringing bells for midnight mass at my local church, hoping that I haven’t drunk too much to be ringing!
On Christmas eve, we usually watch a Christmas movie….usually the movie Elf!!! :)
My Christmas Eve tradition is my favourite thing about Christmas.. my mum and I go collect our turkeys together and have tea and cake. Then I go home and make a complete (icing cloud) mess of the kitchen decorating my Christmas cakes, singing along to Christmas music, with a nice glass of red wine :-) I love Christmas!
I foresee that my hubby and I will be constructing a trampoline in the back yard for our four gorgeous girls….
I love watching my son’s face when he opens gifts. Also, getting to see family. =D
We take the kids to their Nan’s house & celebrate w/ my husbands family. It is so fun getting the family together and seeing the joy of the season on everyone’s faces!
I was at a toy store the other day accompanying my lil brother to look for his Tech Deck stuffs and i saw your Cake Pops Toy and i was like “GOD! They have it here!!!!!” and i hug the big box so tight and for a moment i cant breathe and I swear the kids there were like ‘Is she crazy?’….i thought your Cake Pops Toy would only be available in the US but hey!!!!! it’s here in Singapore!!!! WoooooHooooo!
We normally go to the children’s mass at church…then have friends over for desserts and cocktails. I few years ago we began sending off a paper sky lantern for each one of our kids, now we send off about 10 for each of our friends kids who come over too. Our son says it is how Santa finds our neighborhood ;)
My favorite part of the holiday season is to get together with family and friends; I have a 34 year tradition of making eggs Benedict for Christmas breakfast for mym husband 4 daughters and families.. Then watching my excited 3 yr. old grandson opening his gifts and being so sincerely appreciative and thankful! ( yes he really does say thank you without prompting). It brings great joy to me. This year will be harder as my 91 year old mother passed away in January and this will be our first Christmas without her physically, but I know she will be there in spirit.
Thank you for the opportunity to enter this contest.
Thank you for this fantastic give-a-way! Your work is always amazing!
My favorite Christmas Eve tradition is to be with my family. They live 3.5 hours away and it is not always easy to get to Chicago and get everyone together. Every Christmas Eve is amazing, we go there or they all head to Indianapolis for celebration with us. It is 8 hours of pure fun, laughter, hugging, talking, eating…and perhaps some cake pops this year! Such a special time, long day with a fair amount of time in the car, but oh so worth it!
Love the Jingle Bells. Looking at these made me think that we should have a Cake Pop making party with our girls scouts. Would be fun to see all of their creations. Christmas eve is my favorite time of the season. We go to midnight mass, come home and put the girls to bed and finish putting things under the tree.
Our family always has an amazing party at my Aunty’s, catering done by yours truly! I always end up baking cake pops for it though (and loads of extras for everyone to take home) because they’re such a huge hit!! Then we’d go out for midnight mass and go to bed in the early hours of the morning after a great celebration with family and our closest friends.
The best part of Christmas are…biscuits, chocolate and snow!!! <3 I always spend Christmas Eve with my family and a lot of sweets :)
Christmas Eve is about going home early that work day to enjoy a nice family dinner at my mum’s. Some honey baked ham and turkey which we only eat once a year. The best part about Christmas is the nice cool weather since we are in the tropics.
I’d gladly pay for the shipping of the cake pops toy if you are willing to!
I spend Xmas Eve with family, although ever since I got married that can be either mine or my husband´s. I love setting the table, dorky but fun!
we celebrate Noche Buena. Lots of food, dancing among family and friends.
on Christmas Eve – the whole family opens gifts from each other {BUT} the gifts have to be articles of clothing whatever you get that night you HAVE to wear Christmas morning!!! we also open a family game that we play that nights, and fun treats to eat while we play!
We’ll usually eat together, sing christmas songs and unwrap presents ( in Germany presents are opened that evening not the next morning)
My favorite part of the holiday season is the cold air, the scent of the holidays and all the wonderful music that’s played at the mall (cheesy, I know) but there’s something about sipping a holiday drink and enjoying all the sights and smells that come with this season!
During the day, Christmas Eve is spent with my dad’s family at my Great Aunt’s house, usually playing Trivial Pursuit. Then the whole evening and late into the night my mom and I bake cookies. In recent years, we have added cake pops to the list of treats. Mom believes in only the freshest baked goods so we are usually up pretty late but it has led to some good memories.
On Christmas Eve we go to church. And I think the best part of the holidays is celebrating the birth of Christ and being together with our family.
Would love to receive one of the booj. And as I live in Europe don’t mind getting two instead of the toy. And Christmas Eve – alwasy a special dinner with family :) Than we sing our polish special Christmas carols and go to the church. Love Christmas!!!
My favorite part of Christmas is getting to be with my family. Also its the baking season of the year. I like to bake for my family friends and teachers. Your recipe are amazing and I’m looking forward to bake more from your recipe this christmas.
I usally spend Christmas Eve with my family at home, but this time it will be different, because it’s my aunt’s 50th birthday, so we will celebrate that at her place, but it still will be about Christmas too !
In the end it’s all about Jesus, who was born on that day as a weak, poor baby to come close to us. He understands what it means to be weak. But he came to carry our weakness, our worries, our fears, to take all that burden away from us. He knows that it is sometimes hard to trust, but it is so worth it. So that’s what I mainly celebrate on Christmas Eve (as on every other day): LIFE and the salvation in God !
Christmas Eve is spent at my in-laws. My mother-in-law inevitably makes way too much food! We open presents and if its not to late we play Apples to Apples. We leave with our presents and bags full of leftovers!
There are many ‘favourites’ of our at Christmas but one of the special ones (that I learned from my late mother-in-law) went like this – just around the 21st of December (about the time when the Christmas excitement is ready to burst), we’d find a present in the porch/Florida Room. I’d call the kids downstairs and tell them there was a present with their name on it – Santa wrote this – Hi, (kid’s name). Just doing a pre-check before the big night – and know that you children have been really, good – so I thought I’d drop a few presents off for you. That pretty much always put them (and us) over the edge!!!
Relaxing in the sun, trying to get a tan -Southern hemisphere Girl!!- with family awaiting the joy that Christmas brings!! :)
We spend Christmas Eve as a family, icing the Christmas cake and then heading to church for the christingle service. Perfect!
Christmas Eve is a fun relaxing night of family, food, cocktails, and games!! I usually bake cupcakes and cake pops that never seem to stick around long!
Christmas Eve is always spent with family and friends. Lots of food and sweet treats. The littles listening for Santas sleigh bells. Special memories for all.
Every Christmas Eve is spent at my Grandmas (my dads mom) and the whole family goes, so it is usually about 75 people all in my Grandmas tri-level house. My mom, my sister, and I always are in charge of making desserts for everyone, and the other families are all in charge of bringing some dish, and My grandma does a ham and a turkey. We also do a secret santa so my grandma doesnt have to buy everyone a gift, but she does do gifts for the younger grand kids! It is my favorite time of year!
I usually spend my Christmas Eve in a frenzy, trying to get everyone’s gifts ready by Christmas Day. For the holidays, I really like to volunteer for the Toy Drive at Glide Memorial Church, donate toys to the Children’s Hospital and to help out in the community. It’s so easy to get lost in the hubbub of the season, it feels so good to pick out toys for kids that may not ordinarily have much of a Christmas. One of my favorite quotes is “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
My family has a tradition of opening 2 presents on Christmas Eve, pajamas and an ornament. We also read the nativity story from the Bible, and then read T’was the Night Before Christmas. I am looking forward to decorating the tree, and all the yummy treats! Thank you for the giveaway.
My favorite part of the holiday season is going to the Christmas tree farm & walking around trying to find the perfect tree, then going home to decorate the tree & house.
I spend Christmas Eve wrapping gifts which I LOVE to do! I get so excited thinking about the kids waking up and seeing all the presents. I don’t even mind when they tear up all of the carefully placed gift wrap. The looks on their faces is worth it!
My favorite parts are all of the Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel and making gingerbread houses with the kids!
We enjoy the Christmas Eve dinner at our cousin’s home who keeps tradition from his late mother’s love of gathering oh this Italian family (35) to savor family recipes at this holy season. Sadly, his home was in path of Hurricane Sandy and the devastation could hinder this year’s dinner. Our hearts are with each family this coming holiday season as people gather grateful for family! :)
The holiday season always ALWAYS feels like such a magical time, no matter the weather, I can’t help but feel extra joyous and smile about everything.
My favorite part about the holiday season are all the Christmas decorations, especially the lights!
My favorite thing about the holiday season is the mood — everyone seems happier on the streets with red noses and rosy cheeks, and hearing Christmas songs always makes me want to hum along… until I’ve heard the carols too many times!
• My favorite part of the holiday season is when my family and friends gather together and put all the Christmas Decorations. Then we sat together eating, drinking, laughing and telling stories. I love our “Christmas House Warming” Gathering.
Christmas Eve is usually spent baking pies and cookies to bring to family get togethers the next day :-)
My favorite part of Christmas is the joy in my kiddos faces at all the decorations and family traditions we carry on from our families
The last few years I worked for the Christmas holidays, but what I like about these days are family gatherings and the Christmas meals!
My favorite part of the season, aside from celebrating Christ’s birth, is the overall good will of everyone I run into! People seem to try harder to do a good deed, or greet you with a smile. It’s a good feeling…wish it could last all year long.
My favorite part of Christmas is surprising my husband with a decorated tree. It dates back to out first Christmas together. We were young and had no money. I bought the top two feet off a scraggly tree at a lot for pennies, turned it upside down and decorated it with finger puppets and fairy lights. When my then-boyfriend arrived his jaw dropped and he held my hand and said it was magic. Ever since then it’s become a bit of a tradition, although with three cats now I am considering a stenciled tree on the wall this year!
My favorite part about Christmas is the music. From Oak Ridge Boys to Raffi, we play all the holiday albums! We also go caroling for the few nights leading up to Christmas.
My favorite part is decorating…I have a spiral tree and a white tree!…and baking for my friends!!
We get together with my husbands family, exchange gifts, eat lots of food and play games until the adults can’t keep their eyes open any longer and the kids are long ago asleep! It’s so much fun.
I love all the lights and music, and movies, food, baking and sharing, decorating the house, wrapping presents and everything happy holiday season brings. I just love Christmas!
Ever since I was 8 we always spent Christmas Eve at my auntie’s and uncle’s home. 30 year tradition still standing strong. It’s potluck so we all bring a dish or dessert. Eat, take photos by the Christmas Tree then open presents followed my midnight Mass to celebrate Jesus! I’m a Registered Nurse who works at a hospital so now that hospitals don’t close I sometimes have to miss out on Christmas Eve with the family. Hoping this year that will not be the case. Congrats on the book and congrats on your new toy!!!! You are so inspiring and hopefully I’ll get to meet you someday at your book signing. If I win I would love my signed by you. Thank you!
My favorite part of the holidays is baking with my mother in law!!!
Oh and drinking wine while we bake.
My favorite part of the holidays is having our entire extended family gathering together. We’re all so busy throughout the year so I always look forward to laughing, eating, and talking together :)
Regardless where we are, we are with family, usually eating much then we should.
All the best to you and your family.
My favorite part of the holiday season is definitely the scent around the house, of both homemade food and candles! :)
I’m from the Philippines and before christmas eve we go to the town plaza and watch the reenactment of jesus birth and go to mass and as christmas eve approach we have mini games that the family and some neighbors play like “pinoy henyo” and some other relays:) then, we share our “noche buena” and exchange gifts and of course sing the karaoke!
This year will be the first of many we celebrate with our son. he ist six month old now. We go to church, then we will have cake and the presents, then Dinner. and after Dinner we are going to play games.
My favorite part of the holidays is family. The getting together, catching up, eating, laughing, remembering when… Christmas Eve is the time for just my husband and me. We spend the evening alone with the quiet because we know Christmas Day will be full of fun and noise with lots of family.
I spend Christmas Eve with my parents and my kids get to open presents given by family members. We have Christmas dinner and of course set out milk and cookies for Santa. My kids’ favorite Christmas Eve tradition is to set out a large bowl of water for Santa’s reindeer. They get so excited in the morning when they find the water is red (thanks so some food coloring I put in the night before) which means that Rudolph was there.
We spend Christmas Eve just hanging out around the house, wrapping any remaining presents and making cookies for santa. My favorite part of the season is baking, the decorations and wonder of it all, and getting to see all of my family at once. I’m totally in love with the Christmas season!
I love to be surrounded by my 4 little ones, making & baking memories.
My favorite part of Christmas is seeing the expressions of people’s faces when they open their gifts. It tells me I did a good job!
My favorite part of the holiday season is enjoying the smell of wood fire burning and the brisk cold air all the while the holiday lights are up.
Christmas Eve: Playing board games with families and doing random stuff. Enjoying the freedom and fun coming the next day.
Favorite Part: The lights, trying to be as creative as I can with my limited amount of lights.
My son’s birthday is on Christmas eve (guess where I spent that Christmas…) so we’re usually having birthday cake and opening presents, even before Santa brings his goodies.
the great food& the family celebrations!
Christmas ewe is my favorite part of christmas! I Spend the day with my family, and enjoy the food and the presents!
Watching a classic movie with a fire and family. The more baked goods the merrier! :)
My favorite part of the holidays is spending night after night until the wee hours of the morning in my grandma’s kitchen making traditional Italian cookies.
My favorite part of the season is getting together with family and friends. Sharing recipes, making memories and enjoying traditions are the best part of the season!
My favorite part is driving around seeing all the Christmas lights. :)
We usually just have a quiet evening at home, looking at the lights and watching t.v. Bernie
My favorite part of the holidays is being together with my family!
My favorite part of the holiday season is the two days I get together with my
Daughters and best friend and we bake and make candy to give away!! We have so much fun!! I started this tradition with my sweet mom many years ago. It was sad the first year she wasn’t with us, but now we celebrate her life that day and all the wonderful memories of her!
My family always heads over to my aunt & uncle’s house were we eat a Polish/Chinese traditional dinner. Since we were kids, Santa always stopped by a little early, rang the doorbell, and left a few gifts to hold us over until the next morning. Probably my favorite day of the year getting together with my family
My favorite part of the holiday season is the two days I get together with my
Daughters and best friend and we bake and make candy to give away!! We have so much fun!! I started this tradition with my sweet mom many years ago. It was sad the first year she wasn’t with us, but now we celebrate her life that day and all the wonderful memories of her!
our Christmas Eve tradition is fondue dinner (yum!) and then we each get to open one present!
Since my brother and I were kids, my mom would always get us ornaments for when we move out… Wed open our ornaments on Christmas Eve, and also we’d get a movie each year, then watch it as a family. Since then, I have carried on the tradition with my boyfriend :) Happy Holidays!!
Christmas Eve is spent wrapping, eating, talking, eating, playing games, eating and making the casserole and sticky buns for eating on Christmas morning. It’s a yummy routine!
Christmas Eve means it’s time to party with the family!
I spend my Christmas Eve at my aunt’s house! Our families exchange gifts that night. It’s been a tradition for the last several years and I’m looking forward to it again this year! :)
Ever since we moved to America from the Philippines, my family and I go on an annual road trip from New York to Florida. We bond during that 18-hour drive, playing games and watching movies, or just laughing and getting in the holiday spirit. We go to Disney World and Universal Studios. To keep track, we take a picture at the same place, every year. While we drive back to New York after New Years, we look through the pictures, looking at how much we’ve grown; from 1997 to now. :)
Oh I love reading these family traditions! We spend Christmas Eve with my hubby’s family, and then Christmas Day with my family and his Dad’s family. It’s gotten a bit hectic because both families are divorced, but its always a good time, with many celebrations.
My favorite part of the holiday season is getting to play Santa. Every year we adopt a family to sponsor and it’s awesome to get to buy the things they need for an awesome Christmas meal and to wrap all the presents for them.
My favorite is definitely cooking and baking in the kitchen with the rest of my family.
Christmas Eve is my nephews birthday, so we party at my sisters house.
I’m Italian, so Christmas Eve means the feast of the seven fishes. I’m glad I get to spend the day with my family, eating and exchanging gifts, since we get up early on Christmas morning to drive out of state to visit my in-laws. I enjoy seeing them, but the drive itself is long.
Christmas Eve is a marathon day for us! FIrst immediate fam, then to my parents for “their” Christmas then all of my mom’s side comes over after that! It’s a wonderful day!
Dear Bakerella,
My favourite part of Christmas is making gingerbread cookies and shapes. If I can’t get enough of the lovely ginger and spice smell I will light a candle, plus I love those scented pine cones!!!
On Christmas Eve my family (my husband, three beautiful daughters, and our cat) slip in to our new Christmas p.j.’s and skype with our relatives in Australia as they are opening gifts and getting ready for Christmas lunch.
Thanks Angie! I have never entered a contest on your site before and I hope I win!! Last year for Christmas I sent your book and cake pop kit to my best mate in Oz and she has been divining inspiration from it ever since!!
Cheers and Happy Holidays!
Dawn Dowd
The best time of the holidays is the Christmas music hands down! Nothing cheers you up or makes a great start to your day than Christmas music!
We go to service and then drive around and look at Christmas lights! This year will be special as we purchased our first home in August so we have a brand new neighborhood to case, lol! :)
My favorite part is planning and making my new baking creation to bring to the family potlucks!
Christmas Eve is next door, at my best friend’s house, with the traditional Italian Seven Fishes dinner and yummy cake, pizzelles, and cannolis for dessert! Of course, I supply the festive cake pops!
My favorite part of Christmas is Midnight Mass. The choir singing beautiful hymns and the church decorated with candlelight and ribbons. In our church, after the sermon, when it is really quiet, suddenly you hear the distant sound of footsteps and slowly Santa makes his way to the altar and kneels before baby Jesus. It is magical.
Christmas Eve starts with getting all the presents and baking goods in the car for the trip to New York to spend it with my mom and my brother and his family. We can leave only after we set out the special plate for Santa with cookies and milk and trail mix for the Raindeer to eat. But, before I leave home, I must make my usual excuse before we drive off “oops, I forgot something inside.” Thats when I run to the closet, get the bag of gifts out throw them under the tree, eat some cookies, drink the milk, eat some trail mix and put powder on the floor in the form of boots and hooves. Once this is done then I can leave to visit my family in NY then head back to NJ to see my husbands family at the annual Christmas party.
There are so many favorite parts I love during the holiday season. Decorating the house, picking our Christmas tree with our sons Watching the kids faces when they open their presents. Baking with the kids and being thankful for another wonderful year together and our health.
My favorite part of Christmas Eve is staying up late until the kids are asleep. I fill up their stockings and get things ready for the morning craziness. I usually like to walk outside and look to the sky. It is usually a very quiet and cool evening and I silently praise god for all my blessings.
Mid-night mass and get together afterwards.
Family dinner, reading from the Bible and acting out the Nativity, new pj’s for the kids and a late night of wrapping presents. Love Christmas traditions.
Ever since I got married 11 years ago, we saw that Christmas Eve is more important on my family’s side because that is when we actually see our relatives (we only see them once a year), and Christmas Day is more important on my husband’s side. So it’s a win-win. We always head up to my parents on Christmas Eve Day, then drive back home to celebrate Christmas with his parents. It is our favorite tradition.
Usually after celebrating the midnight mass, our whole family will have the noche buena. Family reunion is my favorite part of the holiday season aside from the gifts.
Every Christmas eve i spend the day helping my mum in the kitchen. The day is so exhausting and exhilarating. i love foods that we make, they always look amazing and smell even better. Christmas eve is always tiring but it’s the best experience and i can not wait for it every year!
Still to be determined ! Trying to figure out who can be here and so on……… I love Christmas – Family and Friends and Food and Festivities !
I usually go Christmas caroling with my church friends, sometimes we go to the mall, sometimes we go to convalescent home. My other favorite tradition is eating chocolate fondue with my boyfriend~
Christmas Eve is spent at my mom’s house. We always try to find something fun to do in addition to all the eating we do. Last year my girls made the cutest cupcakes. Can’t wait to see what we’ll do this year!
My favorite part of the holiday season is picking out which sparsely or generously iced homemade cutout cookie off the Christmas Eve platter, and trying to guess which relative decorated it. Maybe we’ll be adding Cake Pops to the variety this year. . . :-)
The best part of Christmas would have to be the festive food!
Christmas eve is spent at my house eating, decorating baked goods, and waiting for Santa (my mom) dressed up in full on Santa costume to come hand out presents at midnight!
My family has a tradition of wearing pajamas while we celebrate on christmas eve. I think it makes the holiday feel a little bit more cozy :)
My favorote part of the holidays is the weather (its great for baking ;D)
Opening presents! We celebrate christmas on christmas eve and its always a lot of fun since all of the cousins get together. We also do secret santa so its exciting guessing who has who and tricking one another.

I love Christmas Eve because we usually spend it eating homemade goodies/snacks while watching classic Christmas movies and making candy and more goodies to be shared at Christmas dinner! It doesn’t matter what we are doing as long as we are with our families. This is my favorite part of Christmas! :)
For 23 years we visited with a longtime friend of mine at their Christmas Eve party following church service. Two years ago we rebelled from the business and now stay home with our young adult children and watched It’s a Wonderful Life, a Christmas Eve tradition in our house!
My favorite part of the winter season is SNOW! I love the way it makes everything come alive and sparkle. It makes the cold bearable – even fun! Rolling in light fluffy snow, having the first snowball fight of the year, then warming up with a cup of hot cocoa and/or cider is just the best! :D
Christmas Eve is always spent with family, having dinner and enjoying each others’ company
My Favorite part of the holiday season is watching the kids go bonkers opening up their Christmas presents.
My moms entire family meet at my grandparents. we eat and play dirty Santa!!!!
I love the holidays! They are always filled with plenty of baking, cooking, eating and quality time spent together! The best thing is the memories of past holidays growing up and the new memories you are making. :)

I usually spend Christmas eve with family and we celebrate with a big dinner that includes lots of desserts! On some years though, I have spent it at work because I work in a hospital. When the patients are asleep, we wrap Chistmas gifts for them to open in the morning :)

the Christmas table! and filling the kids stockings just before midnight!!!.

My favorite part of Christmas, besides Christmas morning with the kids opening presents, is picking out our Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. We spend the day picking out the perfect one to cut down and decorate it the following day.
1. I spend Christmas Eve at my mothers home. We have a great meal with the entire family and open gifts in the evening.
2. My favorite part of Christmas is decorating the tree with my children and husband. Each year we
place a new ornament on the tree.

My favorite part of the season is decorating my home. I’m always so sad to take it all down when it’s over!
My favourite part of the holidays is spending time with friends and family!
We will open presents at my in-laws house.
My favorite part of the holiday season is definitely the lights, the snow and the food! Combined. :D
My favorite part of the holiday season (besides cookie baking) is spending time with my friends! Since my friends and I are all at different colleges, we really don’t see each other too often, and the holiday break is a great time to catch up. I always miss them lots!
My favorite part of the Holiday Season is the time spent with family and friends. The Holidays seem to bring out the best in everyone. We all stop and make time to get together and enjoy each others company.
Spending time with family and playing with the cutest nieces and nephews.
My favourite part of the holiday season is when it’s OVER! There’s too much hustle and bustle and STRESS! I get through it by enjoying the quiet times with my family :D
My favorite parts of the holidays is watching the Christmas classics I grew up with, like Rudolph the Red Nose Raindeer, making Christmas cookies with my mom and mostly sing and listen Christmas songs with my family. Just thinking about them makes me feel warm and jolly, like my heart is growing three sizes :)
my favorite part is the food of course LOL
My favorite part is getting together with family and sharing festive meals together :)
We usually have dinner at my hubbys grandparents and then spend the evening with friends.

I went to a convent school and I remember how we used to put baby Jesus in a crib and sing all night on Christmas Eve. I think most of us kids only went because we got vanilla muffins after the service. :)
We do a Christmas Eve breakfast with some friends, then a Christmas Eve dinner with some more friends a nd spend the rest of the day playing with the kids! I love Christmas Eve and would love to win!
Christmas eve is all about baking the cookies and going to church with the family!!
Christmas Eve will be dinner with our best friends and all of our kids, nine in all. Then my kids get to open up one present, new pajamas, robes and slippers.
Christmas Eve is usually a quiet family dinner, which I love. More than anything, though, I love Christmas mornings with my family.
We always spend Christmas Eve celebrating with my husband’s family.
Because we have a large family (10 siblings plus Mom & Pop), every family member spends Christmas Eve with their individual families and go to their local church for midnight mass & open gifts as soon as they arrive back at their home.
The following day, on Christmas Day, my entire family gets together to eat, share stories, dance, watch movies, and open gifts. I am very lucky to have my entire family in the Los Angeles area. There will always be 1 or a few that cannot attend but for the most part our home is alive on Christmas Day (& Thanksgiving) with approx. 50 people in our home. Yes, 50 people – brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews, Mom & Pop.
That’s my favorite part of the holiday season – my entire family getting together :)
We all go for dinner at the local Japanese hibachi restaurant. After we eat, we go look at Christmas lights. We then gather at our house, have egg nog, and a small homemade treat, open one small gift and then watch “A Christmas Story” on tv.
Going out for Chinese food at a fancy restaurant, still dressed up from going to church earlier. Then we open 1 present and go to bed to wait!
I might be a bit of a procrastinator with present wrapping, so Christmas eve is a bit informal here. We eat hor d’oeuvres and cheese/crackers for dinner b/c Christmas is all about food here. ;) My 10 year-old would love to use this kit (and so would I).
Christmas Eve or Christmas in general is not part of my culture unless specific families of our ethnicity celebrate it as a tradition. How I spend Christmas Eve is usually spending my day wrapping the last few gifts for our family members and spending time with my loved ones. Before we end our night, us adults would let each child open ONE small item of their choice so that we don’t catch them in the action after midnight.
I spend Christmas Eve eating sandwiches and exchanging presents with my fiance’s extended family. Then I go home and watch White Christmas with my mom.
I would love to win, baking is a very regular thing around here during the holiday season and I have two little girls who would love the toy!! Christmas eve is spent baking cookies for Santa and spending the evening watching the Disney specials….I can’t wait until then!!! Thank you!!

We have a new baby girl who will be 11 months old on Christmas Eve so not sure what the new traditions are going to be but I’m super excited anyway!
Now that I have a family of my own, we’re trying to start new traditions with them. So we let them open one gift, which is their Christmas pajamas!
