my favorite part is all the presents
My favorite part of the holiday season would have to be the Christmas music…I start listening right after Halloween!
and candy canes. I am completely addicted to candy canes.
I love the tradition. Christmas Eve service and dinner and presents with family.
I live in Norway, and we get up around 10 (it soo good to sleep in on christmas), then I watch some tv with my sisters. Its always the same shows on, and I´ve been watching them for over 20 years now. It never gets old!
Then we go to church, before we have a huge family dinner. After the dinner we have coffee and cakes and candies, while we open the presents. We usually stay up late just talking, eating and having fun! And the best part is having it way to warm inside, and watching the snow and the stars outside.
I Love Christmas! And I Love Bakerella!
My favorite part of Christmas is a toss up between decorating the tree and wrapping up the finished Christmas cookies.
My favorite part of the season is gift giving; I love wrapping and watching the reactions of everyone as they open gifts!
We spend Christmas Eve with my mom’s side of the family. We have dinner, play games, and talk. Then my mom gives all the grandkids new pjs before they go home and go to bed.
We always go to the Children’s Christmas Eve Mass and then out to eat. Aterwards we head home to sprinkle the reindeer food out in the yard, set out cookies for Santa and then off to bed so Santa can come and we can have lots of energy to play and get Christmas dinner ready for the grandparents.
I spend Christmas Eve with family opening up presents from each other. Then my fiance and I go to lights on the lake and watch Rudolph before bed.
Hands down my favorite part of the holiday season is making gingerbread houses with my husband and our little girls! It’s also how we spend Christmas Eve!
Ours changes depending on where we are living, since we are military if we are near home then we go home, if not we watch Christmas movies etc with our kiddos!
In my family, we always attend church service on Christmas Eve and then come home to open presents. :) For the longest time, I thought this was just an odd family tradition. As it turns out, this is how they celebrate Christmas in Germany (thanks to my wonderful German beau, I know this to be true)! It’s a tradition I’m happy to continue when I have my own family as we do with my parents still. :)
Our Xmas Eve tradition is to have mock margaritas and tamales on my best china. It’s just myself, husband, and my daughter so it’s really sweet. After dinner, we all get a pair of new Xmas jammies to put on and hang around watching holiday movies together snuggled on the couch. So fun!
We celebrate on both Christmas Eve and Christmas day with various members of our families. My favorite part of the Holidays would be the baking and wonderful smells that fill the house!
I usually spend Christmas Eve with my family and the fireplace burning wood , a warm glass of apple cider watching old Christmas movies.
Christmas eve we usually get in our jammies, bundle up in our winter coats, grab a few mugs of hot chocolate and drive around our city looking at all the Christmas lights on the houses. So much fun!
Christmas eve is spent with family and friends having a good time
We spend Christmas Eve attending church as a family, celebrating the Reason for the season!
Making and decorating cookies with my 5yr old granddaughter,
Christmas Eve is about stopping, snuggling, sharing. It’s a break in the mayhem. It’s also a really really really good dinner!
In our family, on Christmas Eve, we all put on our new christmas pjs, open up one gift, bake and set out cookies and milk for Santa and watch a Christmas movie that is picked out by consensus.
On Christmas Eve the whole family does dinner together, then we all open up 1 gift—our Christmas PJ’s—before we go to bed! I love the tradition. :)
how fun! my 5 year old twin daughter is begging to make cake pops with me. This would be fun to use with her, and her twin brother!
Christmas Eve is usually a super busy day in my house. On top of the fact that Christmas is the next day it is also my birthday. My mom’s side of the family comes over on Christmas Eve for both my birthday and for our annual Christmas get-together. We usually have dinner which always has fish instead of meat. The night is then completed with a nap midnight mass!
My favorite part of the holiday season is spending time with my family and making our big holiday meals. We have several recipes we only make during the holidays. Most of them have been passed down generation to generation. I also enjoy the music and weather.
My favorite part of the holidays is christmas eve. It is the final busy day of the holiday season at the bakery I work at, I love it but Im happy for it to be over with. Then I can make the 2 hr drive to my families home and spend some relaxing quality time with the people I love.
One Christmas when my husband was little the power went out. They all got flash lights and gathered around the Christmas tree and sang carols as they lit it up. We keep that tradition every Christmas Eve. We turn all the lights off but the tree’s play piano, song carols, then we read the Christmas story and make up our own living nativity. End the night with cookies and milk ready for Santa.
I love the family time that comes along with the holidays! And of course all the baking,,,

My favorite part of the season is how excited my nephews get… they make everything more fun, they’ve already asked when are we going to make cookies for Santa! :)
With family! Because our families (my husband and I) live a little too far away, we alternate. But we’re always in some great company. =)
Congrats on your new book! Excited to see it!
Christmas Eve means we’re at the in-laws house with the whole family, and everybody gathers around while my dad-in-law reads the Christmas story. Then presents!
My favourite part is eating Christmas lunch with all my family.
What I like most about the Christmas season is making all different kinds of goodies to share with those we love! I especially like to make sugar cookies and decorate them with frosting and sprinkles.
I can’t wait to try cake pops this year!
Spending time with family, friends and food!
My favourite thing about Christmas has to be that feeling that runs through my body- the happiness, love and gratefulness I have for myself and family and life in general plus that school has finally ended. My family spends hours putting up the decorations and most importantly the tree creation ceremony, where each decoration has been carefully placed and thought of.
Lots of wrapping and busyness on Christmas Eve… But then we stop to light the fire and lots of candles, and we quiet down with some hot spiced apple cider and mince pies (and maybe some special chocolates are brought out). Then we read the Christmas story from Luke 2:1-20 and spend some time reflecting on the year past, and the new year to come. I love it!

Christmas Eve is spent making sure all the presents are wrapped, last minute dinner stuff for Christmas and then its off to church.
My family is Italian-American and we have some fun Christmas Eve traditions. We don’t eat meat all day, and then have 7 different kids of fish/seafood for dinner. I’m not a seafood eater so I always had spaghetti with marinara sauce :D Then, at midnight, we have sausage and pepper sandwiches.
My favorite part during the holiday season is eating delicious food and being with my family! I also loved how my sisters and I stayed up to make some unique treats – cake pops – for Christmas last year!

My favorite part of the holidays are the decorations and putting up the tree. This will be the first year that my boys will finally be able to help me decorate the tree. On Christmas Eve, my son and I usually have a “fancy appetizer” dinner. No main courses just small plates and then we watch Christmas movies until we both crash out. Elf, the Ref, It’s a Wonderful Life and Polar Express always.
On Christmas night my dad usually makes his famous juicy pepper steaks with a creamy peper sauce on top. Then on the side he also makes thrice cooked potatoes with cheese, bacon and mashed potatoes while my sister and I make our annual lemon meringue pie. As you can tell I’ve grown up in a cooking family and aspire to be like the food bloggers and follow their delicious recipes. The first place I look for my recipes are my favourite food blogs. My favourite part of the holiday season is the snow, the food, and the family time. Hope you enjoy yours :)

Christmas is by FAR my favorite holiday, and it’s always several days long in our house because my birthday is on the 23rd. :) We spend Christmas Eve with family, and we always go see Santa drive through our neighborhood on a fire truck — my kids LOVE that! Then, we open up our brand-new Christmas pjs, sing some carols, track Santa on NORAD, and then go to bed! (Actually, my husband and I usually have to wrap presents until 2:00 a.m., THEN go to bed!) :)
My favorite part/how my family spends christmas eve is by doing a fondue dinner! It takes a little longer to cook your food (we do a broth fondue), but it gives you lots of time to talk, and comment on the silly paper hats from our christmas crackers, and it’s just (in my opinion) the perfect way to spend christmas eve!
Every Christmas Eve, I make and decorate sugar cookies! The holidays would not be the same without them! This year I’ll probably add to the mix and make some of these super cute holiday cake pops!
my favorite part of cristmas is baking and make a table dessert for my family
My favorite part is seeing my family.
Christmas Eve we stay home together!!!
We spend it with family eating home made tamales atoles.
We spend Christmas eve at my parents place with my two sisters and my grandfather (91 years old and he loves my cake pops ;) ) I love everything about Christmas, but I especially love preparing (wrapping, putting together a package with a keyring and candies) little ‘individualised’ presents for my friends and family…And decorating my house! Can’t wait!
We read “T’was the Night Before Christmas” just before bedtime. We usually watch it earlier that day on TV and curl up with hot chocolate!
T.
I love my family’s Christmas Eve celebration. Our Italian family has a seafood dinner on that night with amazing treats. Most of all I love just sitting around the table with my family, especially now that I don’t get to spend every Christmas with them.
Jesus is the reason for the season !! That’s my favorite part of Christmas.
Just want to say, you are the MOST AMAZING artist, creating all these adorable treats from common everyday food products !
We travel to family on Christmas Day, so Christmas Eve is just for me and the hubby. We exchange gifts, have a nice dinner and enjoy the Christmas Tree and watch a holiday movie while drinking cocoa.
Thanks for the chance to win your new book and that great toy pack!
What a nice idea for a giveaway! I would love love love the cake pops toy, but unfortunately I live in Germany (and I never get picked for giveaways :D). Still, the book would be awesome enough, especially signed!
Me and my family always spend Christmas Eve having a nice dinner, then we open up the presents (when my brother and me were children, this was the worst – having to eat dinner slowly, even though we were so excited about our presents and couldn’t wait to open them!). After that, we drink something nice, a special punch that we have for the christmas season in Germany, and we play cards all evening ;)
I’m looking forward to it! :)
Our Christmas Eve always starts off with a nice family meal followed by going to church. Once we’ve returned, we each get to open one present from “Santa” (aka my wonderful dad), which is almost always a nice new set of Christmas pj’s. As I’m getting married this year, I don’t know how this will change but I’m looking forward to starting new traditions with me new husband!
The whole family gets together for Christmas Eve dinner, we all help with the cooking and have a feast, we then wait for midnight when there’s hugs to wish everybody a merry christmas, and then we pass presents around and open them. Sometimes we organize games to make the wait shorter.
We make a bunch of yummy appetizers and enjoy them around the tree.
I usually just spend Christmas Eve at home, curled up on the couch, watching a movie, drinking some cocoa :) my favorite part of the holiday season, hmm… what isn’t? I love the red cups at Starbucks, the cold and rainy weather, the fact that we can have a fire in the fireplace, the decorations, the food (don’t even get me started on that), just everything. it’s all fantastic! :)
My family and I always spend Christmas Eve at my grandmother’s and have a quiet, relaxed Christmas Day at home.
I love getting the tree! It always makes me feel like it’s ‘officially’ the holidays once that tree is in my house!
Angie J…. Me too, my Mum passed away last year, this one will be our second Christmas without her, we miss her terribly.
We spend Christmas Eve visiting my husband’s family, eating lots of fish, seafood and pasta. The kids and nieces/nephews open presents at my in-law’s house and then we head home, put out milk and cookies for Santa and then go to bed.
On Christmas Eve we always get together as a family and go to church. Then we come back to my mom’s house and eat prime rib with potatoes. It is always delicious.
My favorite part is spending time with my family. I will miss my mom so much this year.
YAY
Love the Christmas designs!!
Thanks so for the opportunity
We like to go to the Christmas eve Childrens mass as an extended family.
Cheers
Catie
Our family always spend Christmas eve together. We have a traditional Christmas meal and open one gift each.
My favourite part of the season is recreating the Christmas traditions that my Mum made for our family. Now that I am a Mum, those memories are all the more special.
Not sure this year as we just got our place!
My Christmas Eve was always spent with family celebrating my Grandfather’s birthday. A big holiday dinner with laughter around the table, and my grandpa playing the organ and watching the yule log on television afterward. He has since passed and traditions have changed over the years, but that is my fondest memory of Christmas Eve :)
Baking cookies with my nieces and nephews!
Love Christmas Eve, visiting my brother and his family, then coming home and opening one present,
On Christmas Eve the family gathers at our house for a smorgasbord of holiday food and treats followed by family games. After everyone goes home our little family of three each opens a gift and we prepare cookies and carrots by the fireplace for Santa and his reindeer. It is my favorite time of year!!!
Christmas Eve has now been taken over by my son’s birthday! We celebrate with lots of cake!
I’m spending my holliday by watching home alone and arnold schwarZeneger movies with my family.
And the most important thing.. I’m backing some sweety stuff like cake and appel bengee together with my sissters !!! X
Every 3rd year I have to work (I’m a nurse). On the years I don’t work, because my kids and I are so far from the rest of our family, we usually just watch tv, play games, bake, and then everyone goes off to their bedrooms for frantic, last minute gift wrapping.
For two years now I been baking with my son who’s 3 he loves to bake with me on Christmas Eve cookies n cake
My favorite part of the Holiday season is recognizing that it is Jesus’ Birthday Celebration, family time, eating, reminising, and of course all of the food especially the desserts!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for offering this awesome giveaway.
Everyone have a wonderful Christmas and Holiday Season!!!!!!!!!
The holidays are always a tricky time of year when you are married and have both families 30 minutes apart. We love our families individually, but not always together. Over the past 6 yrs we have made a family tradition to share Christmas Eve and Charismas with one side each. Christmas Eve is always spent with my side of the family and Christmas day with my wife’s. It works great.
We open 1 gift (always a movie for the kids) and eat Pizza Hut pizza in the living room, picnic style. It’s simple, but it’s us :)
I usually spend Christmas Eve with my family. This year we are traveling to Alabama to spend it with the grand kids. Way more fun to watch kids than sisters and brother in laws.
