This is the easiest question anyone with any blog has ever asked for me to answer. Without question my favorite holiday IS Christmas! I adore everything about Christmas including the shopping, the tree, especially the baking. Even the decorating, wrapping and giving gifts, just everything. Christmas Eve is also my very favorite church service of the year. It’s just a very special “magical” time of the year and despite being over 50 years old now I’ve never outgrown that excitement.

My favorite is Thanksgiving! It is the only holiday that I get to share a special meal with special people. I do not have any family to enjoy the holidays now. I go to some friends who own an Inn in Red Boiling Springs, TN and share a delicious dinner with them and their quests. I enjoy not only having a delicious meal but being with other people than being by myself.
Christmas…because it’s all about the baked goods. Cakes, pies, cookies and candies. All the colorful treats. Just like the beautiful cake plate, everything is colorful and whimsical. The cake plate screams Christmas, I love it!!!

Rosh Hashanah is my all time favorite holiday….it’s the Jewish New Year….a time for new beginnings….a fresh start to the year. I feel like no matter what has occurred all year long, this is the time to make changes, mend relationships, look inward as to how to right any wrongs. Have been baking honey cakes for family, friends and all the people who have played a big part in my life for years and now my 14 yr. old son joined me in baking! Hoping to pass on the tradition.. The honey cake symbolizes a sweet new year and you don’t have to be Jewish to wish someone a wonderful one filled with happiness and good health. That cake stand would absolutely look even more fabulous with my honey cake right inside :)
