Happy Sunday! And Happy Father’s Day, too! I’m giving away something sweet to celebrate summer and of course ice cream.
You know, I think I could eat ice cream every day. It’s always my favorite go-to treat when I travel… but I never really get ice cream at restaurants. That just seems boring. Probably because it’s not as fun as going into a scoop shop and looking all the pretty creamy colors. And I always prefer eating ice cream out of a cup. I don’t like to eat it out of a cone because I’m way messy. So if I do get it in a cone, it’s just so I can snap a picture of it. Then I turn it upside down and dump it in a cup and eat it with a spoon – or better yet – I like to break up the waffle cone (never a sugar cone) and use it to scoop out the ice cream. I may be weird.

I love mocha almond fudge ice cream on a cone (a flavor made in a local ice cream store)!! It’s mocha ice cream with almond pieces and swirls of fudge mixed in!!
Hmm, that’s a toughie! For me, it’s a toss up between plain coffee flavored in a bowl, or plain vanilla smothered in butterscotch (NOT caramel) topping with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry, also in a bowl.

Rocky toad is my favorite unless I go to a ‘make your own’ type shop. Then it is oreo filling ice cream with raspberries and chocolate chips. YUM! I prefer a bowl also, then you dont have to eat so fast :)
My favorite ice cream flavor is at a local shop called Kiss My Cake and the flavor is called “Fire and Ice” — it’s white chocolate and dark chocolate swirled together and has a spicy kick at the end. Soooo good, I want to learn to make it at home!! Oh, and I eat it in a cup!! It tastes so good alone, I don’t want to add anything to it! :-D

I’m not a cone fan so I always get my ice cream in a cup. As for favorite flavor, French Silk is my go to flavor. Got to love all the chocolate and chocolate chunks :)
I am definitely a vanilla girl – especially homemade. I do like it as the base with add-ins (everything from berries to chocolate). And if it’s in a cone – it should be waffle or sugar!

I love a great vanilla ice cream either plain or with fruit or nuts on it and definitely in a bowl. But then again that picture above of the vanilla ice cream bar with nuts and then dipped in chocolate looks pretty delish!!!
My absolute favorite is P’nut Butter/Chocolate! I use a long spoon so I can dig all around really good and I pick out all the P’nut Butter chunks first with just a tad of chocolate on the spoon. Then I get serious about the chocolate and devour all of that. I could eat my weight in this! :}
I enjoy a good mint chocolate chip, but lately I have been loving Tiilimock Toffee Caramel Crunch. If I lived near a Cold Stone it would be Dark Chocolate Peppermint with Oreos, marshmallows and chocolate shavings!

One of my very favorite ice cream flavors is pecan praline with jumbo scoops in a wide bowl. I love eating ice cream outside in a porch swing or rocking chair.
Long time favorite has been Ben and Jerry’s NY super fudge chunk in a waffle cone. Yum.

My favorite ice cream is cookies and cream by a local dairy in Idaho. I know this sounds crazy, but the put potatoes in it and it makes the texture smooth and almost chewy. The oreos in it a lot of times are whole or half pieces of cookies, not like the crumbs you get in commercial brands. To enjoy it, I like a waffle cone, but that’s only because they don’t make cones the size of a five-gallon bucket!
It’s always been a tradition in my family to make homemade ice cream during the summer!!! I can remember my dad turning the crank on the ice cream freezer once us kids had a hard time turning it!!! It was a different time back then and everyone took their turn at turning the crank on the ice cream freezer!!! My favorite flavor for homemade ice cream is Peach!!! It brings back so many memories of family get-togethers and fun times!! My boys have carried on the tradition of making ice cream during the summer months so this now makes 4 generations of our family enjoying & loving the memories and taste of homemade ice cream!!! Since it’s just my husband & I now, this would be the perfect size for us!!!

So many flavors, so hard to choose just one. I love chocolate chip & German chocolate together in a waffle cone. I also love chocolate/vanilla swirl soft serve in a cup or a cone. At home my favorite to make is Orange Pineapple sherbet & it’s super easy!! One 2 liter orange soda, one can of crushed pineapple, & one can of sweetened condensed milk. Yum!!! As far as I’m concerned I could eat ice cream everyday & never grow tired of it!! ;o)

I can’t say I actually have a favorite flavor. It depends on the day. Sometimes chocolate, sometimes chocolate chip, anything with fruit, etc. but it always has to be in a cup or bowl. The cone just takes away from the flavor of the ice cream.
There is an AMAZING artisan ice creamery in Ottsville, PA called owowcow creamery. They make a cinnamon bourbon ice cream that is beyond awesome… and a fabulous honey lavender … and a killer amaretto fudge swirl … :) Any of these in a waffle cone = sheer perfection!

I’ve always been a butter brickle girl.. . .until recently when our local ice cream joint invented a locally inspired flavor called The Nicollet Pothole. It is rich chocolate ice cream filled with fudge, truffles, chunks of Heath bar, and sea salt. Pure evil and I spend way too much time trying to avoid it . .much like a pothole!

Almond Joy in a waffle cone from our local ice cream shop, 3Bs. If I’m in an ‘ice cream for dinner’ kind of mood, then the Mud Pie Mojo concoction from Cold Stone Creamery (Oreos, chunky peanut butter, almonds and fudge) made with peanut butter ice cream = YUM! This is usually way too much to enjoy in a waffle bowl, so I stick with a regular old bowl!

I love Jeni’s, we have a store in my hometown and I always have to stop in for their Buckeye flavor. Go OSU! My all time favorite flavor regardless of the brand is Mint Chocolate Chip and I eat it straight out of the pint because why not?! Great post!
As a kid I loved whoppers ice cream but I can’t find it anymore so coffee flavored in a waffle cone is my favorite now.

Living in the south – my favorite is homemade PEACH! Made with peaches straight off the trees. As a little girl we would churn it seemed like forever and mom would scoop out a bowl full for each of us. The Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker would make things alot easier!!
