Happy Sunday! And Happy Father’s Day, too! I’m giving away something sweet to celebrate summer and of course ice cream.
You know, I think I could eat ice cream every day. It’s always my favorite go-to treat when I travel… but I never really get ice cream at restaurants. That just seems boring. Probably because it’s not as fun as going into a scoop shop and looking all the pretty creamy colors. And I always prefer eating ice cream out of a cup. I don’t like to eat it out of a cone because I’m way messy. So if I do get it in a cone, it’s just so I can snap a picture of it. Then I turn it upside down and dump it in a cup and eat it with a spoon – or better yet – I like to break up the waffle cone (never a sugar cone) and use it to scoop out the ice cream. I may be weird.
Okay, back to the giveaway.

how can you have one favorite? i think it depends on mood, time of year (because ice cream is good all year long), where you are…. but if i had to choose a standby, it would have to be classic pralines and cream, and i do the same as you – waffle cone broken on top of the ice cream in a cup. best of both worlds.

I love cookies and cream in a bowl because it’s like an ice cream sandwich all chopped up but lasts longer since I’m using a spoon. The taste takes me back to childhood and the excitement and anticipation when we heard the jingle of the ice cream truck or the ice cream boy with his cart. I always ordered the ice cream sandwitches then but it always got eaten soooo fast.

Pistachio Almond, in a sugar cone!
Picking a single flavor is always a tough one for me, becUse I just LOVE ice cream! I must have gotten that from my dad, because he ate a few bites every day to help with diabetes blood sugar and a slight sweet tooth:-) my true favorite flavor is real pistachio ice cream…not the kind with artificial favors and sliced almonds! I dig the REAL thing with that oh so yummy pistachio flavor and all those crunchy whole and real pistachio nuts! Now, although I love cones of all types (who doesn’t) but I found a set of ice cream sandwich molds, and we use all types of cookie dough to make the cookie parts, and for mine, I grab a pint of Ben and Jerry’s pistachio ice cream, make my ice cream sandwich, and all I can say is that I am having an out of body experience when I delve into that with any bite!! Oh, Heaven! But seriously, I could just grab a spoon and be zoned out during the consumption phase…no one comes between me and my pistachio ice cream, especially as I save it for a rare treat, which makes it even more special!

My favorite flavor is probably any fruit sherbet / sherbert, because it reminds me of my childhood in Washington where me and my neighbor would eat ice cream all the time as five year olds. Plus, any fruity type of ice cream, especially tropical, reminds me of the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii! I enjoy my ice cream in a cup or bowl! Sometimes under some shaved ice. :)

I like vanilla ice cream, so I can add whatever I want to it. Caramel, butterscotch, fruit, marshmellow creme, hot fudge, chocolate, all flavors of cake, etc the toppings are endless!

This would be great to do with my daughter! I love lots of ice cream but my favorites are oatmeal cookie explosion, red velvet, and this eclair ice cream that had pieces of donut in it. Yum! I love eating it in a bowl with a spoon. Or leave it in the cone until the bottom gets soft and est it, yumm!
