I’m hosting a fun giveaway today from my publisher, Chronicle Books. Last year they launched a GIVE BOOKS holiday campaign to encourage people to share the love of books during the holiday season, to support local bookstores and to help promote literacy. And I’m excited that they are doing it again this year. But this year they are doing it bigger. Giving bigger. They’ve joined forces with First Book, a non-profit organization that provides access to new books for children in need. And for every #GiveBooks tweet, pin, and online pledge, Chronicle Books will donate a children’s book to First Book.

Here’s how you can help them reach their goal of giving 10,000 books this holiday with a simple tweet, pin or pledge.

  10. I would give the Snoopy and Friends to my daughter-in-law, because she bakes a lot of cupcakes for my granddaughters. They all look so delicious, the Cake Pops would be very nice to make with my five granddaughters for Christmas, and bring them to church for the children church.

  194. If I could give away a book I would give Top Pot Hand-forged Doughnuts to my mom who has wanted to make doughnuts for a while. And if I could receive a book I would like to get Hand-crafted Candy Bars because it looks like that would be a lot of fun to do :D

  198. There are 2 things I love and can completely take my stress away (ok, not take it away, but let me forget it for a while); books and baking. All of those books sound like a perfect gift for me, but I think of all of them I would want The Model Bakery the most. It seems like it would have a good variety of baked goods for me to try to bake and would be a good sampler overall.
