This post doesn’t involve baking from this weekend
but there’s something pretty sweet at the end I think you’ll like.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Okay, so I’ve been out of town for the last two weekends. First, Chicago for the Home and Housewares Show…
and last weekend somewhere a little bit warmer.
I was in sunny Florida for a weekend conference full of learning and sharing with friends – and a bunch of food and fun thrown in.
Food Blog Forum Orlando. Put on by Jaden Hair of Steamy Kitchen, Todd & Diane of White On Rice Couple, Julie Deily of The Little Kitchen and Dawn Viola.
And sponsored by Disney, Kitchenaid, OXO, Land O’ Lakes, Whole Foods, Le Creuset and more.
The meeting was held at Walt Disney World and it was amazing. So well done. Julie from the Little Kitchen knows how to put together a great event. I was there with a bunch of great speakers. (See the whole group here) Alison Lewis (Ingredients, Inc.) and I spoke at round table discussions on writing a cookbook. I really enjoyed the round table set up because we were able to talk one-on-one with people and that’s much more my speed. I don’t think I’d be very good at getting up in front of a big room of people and talking. There would be a lot of umms and likes and pauses I’m sure.
On the evening before the meeting, we had a beautiful outdoor reception at the Grand Floridian. My sweet friend Jenny (Picky Palate) and I met some great girls. Nikki (Pennies on a Platter), Krissy (Krissy’s Creations), Julie (Table for Two) and Rachel (The Fabulous Foodie). Hi girls. Thanks for making Magic Kingdom such a blast!
We hit up a few rides and went on a search for Dole Whip and churros before the park closed. It was my first time trying either. So yum! Thanks for sharing these phone pics girls.
We spent all day Saturday at Epcot where the meeting was held.
It was definitely a special place to have a meeting. Not only were there great speakers, yummy treats, amazing prizes, like stand mixers and refrigerators, Le creusets and more but when we were done, we had a huge world to explore.
If only I could have seen it all. I’ve never been to Epcot. I had no idea how ginormous this park was. Actually, I still don’t know how big it is. But that’s okay because what I did see was perfect.
We had an incredible lunch extravaganza prepared by Disney chefs from the parks and hotels.
I focused on dessert of course.
Lunch gave us all more time to talk.
Here’s Lauren’s Latest, Julie, Krissy and Jenny.
And I finally finally met Elise from Simply Recipes. Yay! Hope we can chat more next time.
Alison and Jenny. Love you guys.
And sweet, sweet Julie. Again, great job on pulling this event together.
On Sunday we had a brunch hosted by Whole Foods. Incredible food means the cameras come out.
See what I mean. That’s Dawn in the back, Julie and Jenny, and then Lindsey (Love and Olive Oil) in the front.
This might be one of my favorite pics from the weekend. It just makes me giggle at how we all do the same thing as bloggers. It’s almost uncontrollable when you have a camera in your hand.
But in our defense, the flowers were pretty cheery.
I enjoyed this weekend so much.
Hi Emily (Sage Recipes) and Kiran (Kirantarun)! It was nice meeting you both. Hope to see you again. And you too Droolius and Simply Southern Baking.
Thanks for a weekend of great memories with old friends and new!

So now the fun part.
I’m having an amazing giveaway today.
If you read last week’s post, you may remember some of the new products I talked about from the Home and Housewares Show in Chicago. One of them was this Kitchenaid mixer in Crystal Blue, the brand new color from the Catalina Collection that I fell in love with.
Well, I met some of the folks from Kitchenaid in Chicago for the first time and and then coincidentally, we met again in Orlando the very next weekend as they were one of the sponsors of Food Blog Forum. It was a surprise to see them two weeks in a row. We talked about how much I loved the brand new color they debuted in Chicago and we thought it would be a fun giveaway here on bakerella.com.
Want to brighten up your kitchen and be one of the first people to own a mixer in this brand new, bright blue color courtesy of Kitchenaid? I know I would. It’s such a happy color. And much more vibrant in person.
Enter for a chance to win this Crystal Blue 5-quart Artisan Stand Mixer from Kitchenaid!
- Just leave a comment on this post here on the website and answer the following question.
- If you could only eat one kind of sweet/dessert for the rest of your life, what would choose? And not just cookie or cupcake, etc. – but what kind if you can? I’m very curious.
- Deadline to enter is Wednesday, March 28th at 5 pm ET.
SORRY, TIME’S UP! Winner Announced Below.
- One winner will be chosen at random and announced sometime Wednesday evening.
GOOD LUCK GUYS!
oh and FYI – the Crystal Blue color should be available for purchase starting sometime in April.
Reading all of your sweet choices are driving me crazy. I have cravings now for way too many treats.
I don’t know if I could pick just one either. But warm brownies and ice cream are always a safe bet for me. No nuts. No whipped cream. No syrup. Plain and simple chocolate and vanilla. Warm and cold deliciousness.
Okay, ready for the winner?
It’s comment #6224 – Leann
Congratulations and enjoy your bright blue baby. Hope you make lots of amazing desserts and smile every time you look at it.
And big thanks to Kitchenaid for supplying the mixer in this beautiful blue.
I’d have to say.. snickerdoodle cookies – delish!
Turtle brownie sundae with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce…yum. Gave up desserts for Lent so just mentioning it makes my stomach growl.
Banana pudding maybe. Or coffee cake
I could eat good old classic creme brulee F.O.R.E.V.E.R!
Easy peasy…Texas sheet cake!! Just thinking about it makes me want to drool!!
I would pick lemon tarts. I love the tart flavor and the sweet powder sugar.
There is a cupcake shop where I live that makes the most amazing chocolate cupcake with a salted caramel frosting and pretzels on top. Just talking about it makes me want to hop in the car and run over there!
The coconut cake from the Cedar Creek Inn. It’s so moist and delicious!
Ambrosia. ‘Nuff said, that dessert is just the best mixed with even better.
Fruit + marshmallows + heavy whipped cream = YES!
If I could only eat one dessert for the rest of my life, it’d have to be a chewy, gooey chocolate brownie with lots of caramel on it. Yum!
Easy peasy – My momma’s chocolate pie, each and every time I can get it – LOL
Thanks for the chance to win this beautiful new color!
My favorite dessert is my Mema’s rainbow dessert (rainbow sherbet ice cream layered with ground up oatmeal cookies). It tastes like my childhood!
My all time fave & go to would be an espresso chocolate cake w/ chocolate ganache & drizzled w/ caramel & fleur de self salt c:
I would have a Oreo cheesecake!!(: one of my favorites
I could live off of chocolate chip cookies! :)
Blue is my favorite color so i’m dying for this mixer! I think my heart actually skipped a beat when i saw it. My fav dessert/treat is from a local cupcake shop here called Pinka Bella Cupcakes. I am in love with their plain vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting. Boring…maybe :) But i make my husband drive by there on his way from work sometimes (it’s not close to my house) to buy 4 of these so i can put them in the freezer and take one out when i’m felling the need for a treat :)
Carrot cake never gets old. It’s my favorite… maybe because you have nearly all the food groups knocked out- carbs, dairy, vegetables, fruit, omega 3’s! I would definitely be set for life with an endless supply of carrot cake. =)
Coconut cake with cream cheese icing
I would choose a lemon tart because it has a lemony pudding like center and a pie crust. It can be plain or dressed up with fruit and/or whipped cream. It’s simple and elegant.
I’d have to go with either dutch cocoa ice cream, or lemon meringue pie. Both are so amazingly delish!
hm….pink champagne cupcake from sweet surrender in bakersfield…yummmmmmm
My all time go to & fave would have to be an espresso chocolate cake w/ a chocolate ganache drizzled w/ caramel & fleur de sel salt. c:
At the moment: Hazelnut chocolate Flavoured Yoghurt. I love that stuff, could eat it by the bucket ^^ Also, if that would be unavailable, I guess Ree Drummonds Chocolate Sheet Cake would be my second choice… I’ve got a few pieces left of my baking spree this weekend and this cake is just heavens on a plate.
Chocolate chip cookies, Betty Crocker recipe, hands-down!
I would love to win the Blue Kitchenaid Stand mixer and I still love Tiramisu—my very favorite dessert.
I think my favorite dessert is my boyfriend’s grandmother’s “cherry checkerboard cake”. I can’t quite figure out the dough, but it’s loaded with cherries and has a cobbler-y texture on top and then she pours over a cherry reduction. She won’t give up the recipe, but I look forward to it every time we go there!
Hummm de doodly…
Just plain old dark chocolate – I could never get sick of that!
Thanks for the awesome competition!
Carrot cake cupcakes, because I would get that spicey yummy cake AND cream cheese frosting (my fav)!! Actually, just a tub of cream cheese frosting would probably make me happy. Would love to whip some up in that KitchenAid.
Twix. It has chocolate, cookie, and carmel. Come on people. It has it all!
I could eat classic creme brulee every day of my life and never get tired of it. Something about that first crack in the caramelized sugar just makes me smile.
Vanilla cupcake with chai buttercream icing — homey and comforting all at the same time!! :) (Plus, I love the smell of the chai spices — gotta get all of the senses involved!)
If I could only eat one sweet/dessert for the rest of my life it would have to be strawberry shortcake with crisp strawberries and freshly whipped cream!
My absolute favorite in coconut cake made with coconut milk, fresh coconut and topped with wihipped cream and some more shredded coconut – YUM
Shortbread cookies, rich, buttery and so many possible ways to eat.
Does chocolate chip cookie dough count? Because I could eat cookie dough every day if my thighs could get on board with not expanding. :)
That’s a tough question! I would have to go with homemade chocolate chip cookies with a cold glass of milk!
I would choose Coconut Cream Pie. The kind with ridiculous amounts of coconut not only in the pie filling but also lightly toasted on top. OMGoodness I am now Craving Pie. I could whip up the filling and the meringue if I had this wonderful mixer you are giving away. Life would be sweeter if it was sitting on my countertop. :-)
tiramisu. love the blog!
Hmmm, fudgey brownies I think. As long as there is plenty of cold milk=)
Tough one! But I’d go with a monster cookie; there’s something magical that happens when you bake an M&M!
What a beautiful colored mixer! I know it sounds boring, but I don’t think I could live without good old chocolate chip cookies!
I would pick a back of the Tollhouse chip bag recipe chocolate chip cookie. It’s the recipe my grandma used, but I didn’t realize it until after I made the Tollhouse recipe myself. She fessed up eventually. :)
yikes – just realized that I typed my email wrong my previous entry (panna cotta w/ berries)
If I had to choose just 1 (which is very hard to do ;) ) , I would choose chocolate decadent cheesecake. That’s my weakness. I LOVE chocolate!!!!
If I could only have one dessert for the rest of my life, it would probably be my Aunts apple crumble pie. I love the pie, but it also makes me happy thinking about her (and baking with her!)!
It would have to be apple pie…and it better be homemade all the way, with homemade whipped cream. DIVINE.
Oh that is a difficult choice! I think in the end I would choose vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. I know kind plain but it does not take much to make me happy!
ice cream cake – coldstone’s coffee lovers to be exact :)
or if homemade – chocolate mousse!
Eeee, I want a Kitchenaid Mixer soooo badly!! They’re so pretty…. I’m just waiting for a big girl job after college so I can afford one :) I was at Disney World last week, too! Magical place :)
Chocolate chip cookies. Warm, right out of the oven!
Chocolate chip cookies!
I would have to go with the tried and true, Texas Sheet Cake with homemade vanilla ice cream. A family favorite! I prefer nuts on top, unlike my kids, but I really think I could eat half the pan. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water!
one dessert? i can’t choose, but since this is just a test :) THANKFULLY! I would have to say choc chip cookies. simple yet oh so good.
I love cake batter period, but could live on cake batter frozen yogurt with brownies and topped with raspberry sauce.
Chocolate chip cookies, without question. When I first started baking these cookies at 13, my friends referred to them as hockey pucks, door stoppers, paper weights… you get the idea. I have been perfecting these cookies ever since. Now, my children’s friends line up at fundraisers to buy them. My children request them for birthday treats instead of cupcakes and their friends ask for them instead of gifts! Even after all this, I am still in search of chocolate chip cookie recipes!
Carmel. It can dress anything up.
I’d have a warm Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookie.
I would have to say panna cotta with berries. It’s light, airy and it reminds me of my honeymoon in Italy. ;) (it was really hard to pick just one by the way!)
Carrot cake forever!
For me it would be a serving of tiramisu, crunchyt but sweet on the outside, soft and fluffy (and maybe a little warm) on the inside ;) …the perfect dessert
peanut butter cookies. 4EVER!
The ultimate dessert I found by accident at a chocolaterie in Bavaria, which had top layer of heavenly hazelnut brittle, a middle layer of chewy gooey caramel, and a bottom layer of rich milk chocolate. Yummmmmm!
My Momma’s vanilla bean flan… and how she watched our family enjoy it was as wonderful as its taste.
I would choose this delicious brownie cake my mom makes. It’s cakey enough to satisfy those cravings, but chocolatey/gooey enough to take care of my brownie cravings. I think I will go make one now… :)
Love the blue color! Difficult to choose just one but I think it would be simple rice krispie bars.
If I could only eat one desert for the rest of my life, it would be my grandmother’s brownies. She left the recipe for us on a 3×5 index card in pencil – with ingredients only, no instructions – and it’s gotten really hard to read. I’ve been attempting to recreate them for years, and I think I just figured it out – she used pillsbury all purpose flour! I had never thought about the brand of flour, I’d always bought white lilly. But her brownies only taste like “mema’s” brownies when you use pillsbury flour :)
Oh, blueberry pie. Home made with fresh picked blueberries, some lemon zest, and a little bit of sugar.
100% it would be a goody chocolate chip cookie!
Warm apple tart ala mode!
key lime pie in a graham cracker crust with a little bit of raspberry sauce and whipped cream! yum!!
I just discovered the wonderful world of yeast and have conquered my extreme fear of the stuff. I discovered a fabulous recipe for cinnamon rolls w/cream cheese icing and I do believe I could eat those everyday for the rest of my life!
Carrot cake!!!!it’s delicious.
Coffee cream cupcake! Yummy! I need one of these I dream to be a baker but don’t have enough $ to get one! And my hand held one just broke While making cheesecake!
I would eat oatmeal chocolate chip cookies because I think they have the balance of sweet and chewy and a little salty. I LOVE THEM. xoxo
creme brulee would be the dessert of chocie, I had it for the first time on a cruise and fell in Love, mmmmm… I want one right now!
One dessert – that’s torture! But if I had to pick just one it would have to be ginger snap cookies – my recipe because they are full of spicy ginger taste and super soft and chewy. Yum. Think I’ll go make some now.
Without a doubt, it would be COTTON CANDY!!! I just love it!!!! I want everything to taste like COTTON CANDY!!!!
Taro flavored frozen yogurt at Yogurtland! Had it once when I was travelling and miss it so so sooooo dearly… There is no Yogurtland where I live :(
I would probably have to say chocolate cake! I never get enough of that dessert! I could eat it forever! :)
Such a hard choice, but would have to say salted caramel ice cream!
Red velvet cake pops! I love the small portion and the candy coating! YUM, now I’m hungry.
I would pick strawberry shortcake with vanilla ice cream. It’s almost like 2 desserts in 1! :) YUM
I really don’t think I could pick just one sweet but at the moment if I were at gunpoint I would pick churros. Not any random carnival churros either (which I love!), but the authentic just fried by a motherly Mexican lady in a trailer on the side of the road and stuffed with cajeta variety which I have been spoiled with since getting stationed about 4 miles from the Mexico border. So yummy!
This is a hard question because I love ALL desserts but I think I will have to go with a warm apple tart ala mode! Yum!!
I am going to have to say, if I had to choose a dessert and it be the only dessert I could have for the rest of my life, I woudl have to choose my grandmother’s Chocolate Chip Pie. She makes the custard by hand. it is so rich, think, creamy and full of vanilla goodness. Then she puts a layer of custard in a prepareed pie crust, sprinkles a generous amount of smeisweet chocolate chips, then another layer of custard, layer of chips, custard and finally tops it off with a meringue. Oh my GOODNESS it is so wonderful! Best pie EVER! It is delicious from the refrigerator the next day. There is no third day (it doesn’t last that long). For that reason I have it once a year. Sigh ;o)
My best buddy, Sandi turned me on to red velvet brownies with cream cheese icing…..to die for. Because these red velvet brownies have invaded my thoughts and make me sneak a bite while on a diet it would definitely be them. You can make them in different colors for different holidays so you would think you were eating something different all the time. Oooh, I think I will go eat one….don’t tell anybody!
Lemon zest ice cream…dangit, now I want some!
I would have carrot cake, sweet, but not too sweet.
my mom’s toll house chocolate chip cookies with walnuts
I love love love cakebatter ice cream! Yum! :)
Brigadeiros…Yummmm…
I think I’ll make some now…
Key lime cheesecake, extra tart. I would give just about anything for a slice right now. Alas, not much cheesecake in Japan. Guess I’ll have to make my own. :)
I would choose my grammas lemon dessert. It’s a layered freezer dessert that is amazing! I could eat it forever :D
A plain vanilla cake/cupcake with buttercream icing!! My favorite!!
Definitely cake, and probably Black Forest cake. It’s such a perfect combination of flavours: dark chocolate, sour cherries, and whipped cream. Not the icky store-bought cake made with tinned pie filling and “creme”, though. Only the real thing.
Red velvet cake!
Chocolate mouse, for sure. I could eat buckets of the stuff, which is why I refuse to make it at home. Otherwise I’d never eat anything else! :)
Tiramisu cheesecake!
I would definitely choose lemon bars! They’re so light and delicious. Plus they remind me of my grandma.
Mmm salted caramels – chocolate covered or plain – I’m not fussy
It’s so hard to pick one, but iI would choose homemade apple pie with vanilla ice cream. My daughter’s recipe is fabulous!
If I had to pick one… It would have to be raspberry chocolate cheese cake. my favorite! (despite the insane calories) :)
Sugar cookies – possibly with vanilla icing!
My favorite dessert is chocolate eclairs. Homemade creamy custard in fresh pastry topped with frosting and a few dollops of whipped cream. Lovin’ Oven Bakery back home makes the best eclairs and I swear they weight a pound!! Guilty Pleasures.
I really would love to have this! It would be my dream
If I had to only eat one dessert for the rest of my life, It would have to be creme brulee. I had it for the first time on a cruise and fell in Love, Mmmm… I want one right now :-)
I would choose chocolate chip penut butter cake with butter cream frosting with shell border and and oreo to top it off! ;)
Plain chocolate brownies…no nuts!
Cupcakes!! Specifically, “Elvis Shakes His Pelvis” flavor that is a chocolate with peanut butter filling and a peanut butter-banana buttercream frosting. Holy YUM!!
I bet my desserts would taste even better if I made them in this mixer!
I would eat millefeuille EVERY day! They’re sometimes called Napoleons here in the States, but as a French teacher, they are millefeuille to me :)
My mother-in-law’s Tiramisu – direct from Italy. Liquor-soaked when my father-in-law helps out in the kitchen. ;)
It is great to read your enthusiasm for such a nice event as a conference in Florida. I like to see your pictures of the event with all the other attendees. You write about it with such energy and spirit. I feel good after reading your blog! It makes me want to be there too and see all the things you saw. I can almost smell the warm, sweet air in Florida! I am glad you had such a great time.
My favorite snack is dark chocolate-covered almonds. I love the crunchiness of the almond and the smoothness of the chocolate. I always select a cake or cookie to indulge on if it has almonds and dark chocolate. The more nuts the better! Yummy! I never get tired of them.
Definitely have to go with cheesecake. It would never get old!!
My mom’s homemade cheesecake. I have not found any other cheesecake to compare to it.
If I had to pick only one dessert it would have to be pumpkin cheesecake
I literally just sat there for 10 minutes trying to decide which dessert is my favorite. I really love the moistness in cake truffles along with the nice crunch from the layer of chocolate, and I adore the simplicity and memories from my moms chocolate chip cookie brownies, but the elegant creaminess from pumpkin cheesecakes is absolutely irresistible!
If I had to pick just one, it would be a chocolate, carmel, pecan torte cake–all my favorites rolled into one.
Definitely double choc chip cookies… they are delicious and just a traditional ol time favourite..
P.s. I am so in love with your blog, my boyfriend gets jealous of you when I am forever reading it… Thanks for the entertainment.
Vanilla cake with mocha icing – specifically from the Dutch Bakery in Victoria. My favourite desert!
Texas Sheet Cake…I love the flavor and texture..I could eat it every day.
The one cake I couldn’t live without is a classic British Victoria Sponge cake. Light and fluffy vanilla sponge oozing with whipped cream and delicious fresh jam and dusted on top simply with icing sugar. Mouth wateringly delicious.
My mom’s soft molasses cookies would have to be my choice for a couldn’t-live-without dessert. They’re soft, chewy, sugary, gingery, molassesy, and just plain delicious! She still sends them to me whenever I’m feeling stressed, and they brighten up my day every single time!
Chocolate chip cookies! Thank you for sharing! :)
You pose such a hard question! At one point I would have said blonde brownies, but my husband has introduced me to the joys of banana ice cream. So I would have to say a banana ice cream sundae with chocolate and carmel sauce. YUM!
cake batter frozen yogurt with brownies and raspberrysauce.
Easy. Chocolate cupcake with Peanut Butter frosting.
If I could only have one dessert it would probably be chocolate marble cheesecake. My absolute fav. I just need to learn to make it!
WOW! That color is stunning & would be perfect in the kitchen I just started painting! I would have to pick crepes. Because I can make them 1000’s of different ways with different toppings.. YUM!!
I would have to pick chocolate chip cookies. Mmm!
Man, that is one beautiful mixer. Very tough question… but I’d have to say a very chewy chocolate chip cookie. Probably not a very unique answer, but hey, I love chocolate chips :)
Vanilla gelato without a doubt. I’m glad to see you had fun!
chocolate raspberry crumb bars…oh my goodness, so delicious
My mom’s key lime pie! So incredibly rich and creamy, but light and summery at the same time. I LOVE it!
If I could only have one sweet for the rest of my life I would choose Dove dark chocolates – I practically live on them anyway!
most definatley it would be thic k chocolate mousse with choc chips in it and a lot of cream and chocolate shavings on top, with a frershly brewed espresso.
Warm White Chocolate Brownie with Warm Dark Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. It is so delicious I think I will have to make it tonight! Yummo!
This isn’t too hard. I LOVE lots of different things but there is only one thing that I could eat over and over and over again. It is triple chocolate brownies with the chocolate chips still in there (not melted). The texture with the chips and all of that delicious chocolate makes me incredibly happy.
Ohh that’s a toughie. I would say chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Its light but still chocolatey.
Lemon Meringue Tarts!
It’s hard to narrow it down to just one… I guess the winner would be devil’s food chocolate cake with boiled icing. yummy!
I would eat my granmother’s no bake pineapple cheesecake! To die for!
Too hard to choose! I guess I’d have to say ice cream sundae pie. It has a little bit of everything in it that I’d miss.
if I could only have one choice it would be red velet cake.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake.. but not only one piece.. probably about 5
This was a tough one but i would have to say peach pie!!
a chocolate chip cookie from Specialty’s in San Francisco (along with some ice cold milk)
I would have to go with…vanilla bean creme brulee!
Well if I could only choose one I would have to choose Chocolate chip cookies-I love tons of different desserts but for only one cookies are a must
Well if I could only choose one I would have to choose Chocolate chip cookies-I love tons of different desserts but for only one cookies are a must
Definitely my mom’s chocolate chip cookies! They never get old.
I guess … vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting. I always go back to that favorite!
WOW…..that is a tough question. My husband and I just shared a Strawberry Shortcake over the weekend and I forgot how yummy they are. I think I would go with that because you have ice cream, cream, the shortcak warm…yum and of course the strawberrys. I could pretend that I was having something good for me too for the rest of mylife :)
Love the KitchenAid ….the kids would go nuts for it. Thanks for doing this :)
Cookie Dough Cheesecake!!! Salty, creamy, and a crunchy crust. Yummm.
I love chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. I can live with that decision forever. <3
I would have to go with classic chocolate chip cookies… crisp on the outside… soft on the inside and of course they would have to have walnuts! I would serve 2 cookies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (like Mickey Mouse) to get the best of both worlds.
I think if I had to eat only one dessert for the rest of my life, it would have to be red velvet cake. I’m in love with the combination of the cake with a really good cream cheese frosting!
I can’t imagine only having one dessert for the rest of my life, but if I had to pick today, it would be pumpkin cheesecake. I might pick something different tomorrow…
I will say chocolate cake with chocolate icing.
Strawberry shortcake!! As long as the strawberries are perfectly ripe!
I love the Crystal Blue- it is so happy! I would have to pick my grandma’s fluffy sugar cookies with frosting- they make me happy and remember making them with my grandma <3
This is a tough one, but if I could only eat one sweet for the rest of my life I would have to pick a rich chocolate cake, with white chocolate butter cream and chocolate chips in between.
Chocolate is definitely my weak spot.
I’d have to go with a chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting (made with Vanilla Bean Crush so the frosting has vanilla spreckles in it!). Perfect flavor combo!
I would have to choose panna cotta with raspberry sauce. It is light, but oh so good!!! I wouldn’t tire of it easily!
So hard to choose, but definitely it has to be creme brûlée :)
Strawberry shortcake, with fresh made whip cream. :)
cheesecake…new york style.
This is an incredibly difficult question. So I am going to cheat slightly and say warm chocolate lava cake with coffee ice cream. Yes indeed.
THANKS FOR THE PHOTOS OF THE FOOD SHOWS!! Wish I was there. My favorite dessert would be warm fresh peach cobbler with vanilla ice-cream.
I would eat… cookies! I love desserts and any sweets, but cookies are always delish!! :)
I love desserts, but if I have to pick just one, it’s going to have to be Chocolate Meringue Pie. My aunt made one every time my brother, sister and I visited her as children and years later, anytime I eat chocolate pie, it brings back memories of her. My children and husband, regrettably, like Cool Whip (I know) on their pie, but I sneak in a meringue one every chance I get!
Thick fudgy brownies-with frosting!!
I would definitely go with a chocolate fudge brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. I love all chocolate desserts, but brownies and ice cream just can’t be beat!
cookies made with dark chocolates, im addicted to dark chocolate
Cadbury Mini Eggs or my Grandma/Daddy’s chocolate fudge. Both of them are AMAZING! I can’t wait for Easter for the eggs (or Christmas when they’re ornaments), and I can’t wait for my dad to make the fudge (it’s very basic with just chocolate, sugar, marshmellow creme, etc. and very finicky) and we have bidding wars over it at our church bake sale.
If I had to choose only one dessert to eat for the rest of my life, it would be my mother’s peach cobbler. Anytime I am asked what dessert I would like for my birthday, I always reply “peach cobbler”. I think I could whip up a mean crust for a cobbler with this new Kitchen Aid mixer.
Coffee ice cream. LOVE IT!
Oh I really need that mixer. I currently do not own a stand mixer, and it would look so good in my spring green kitchen.
Give me yellow cupcakes with chocolate icing everytime – lots of icing.
I would most definitely have rice krispie bars, I just love them. It must stem from my childhood, but they are the best.
Crossing my fingers, I LOVE that blue! xo.
without a doubt….tiramisu!!!
I could probably eat a hot brownie with walnuts with a scoop cinnamon ice cream every day!
Anything CHOCOLATE!
The best dessert ever is sure tough!
Being a lifelong chocoholic my first thought was rich chocolate peppermint cake with peppermint choc frosting and crispy merengue cake – oh boy I do love that cake! If you haven’t tried this (http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Peppermint-Meringue-Cake-with-Chocolate-Buttercream-356317 ) recipe yet, definitely do!
However, a great sticky date pudding with cream and white chocolate in the sauce would have to win. I can happily see eating that for the rest of my life. mmm…maybe I’ll go hunt out that recipe now. ;)
Bakerella, you’re inspired me and I can’t wait to get our website up so you can see what we’re doing! (www.popcakesaustralia.com) will be up in a week.
Keep up the amazing work!
Em
I’d have to pick Italian Cream Cake – the kind my mom makes full of pecans and iced with cream cheese frosting “impressed” on the sides and top with toasted cocoanut. Oh. my. goodness….
I love Picky Palate’s stuffed chocolate chip cookies. Especially the Oreo ones. I could eat those things till I explode.
I would eat creme brûlée each and every day if possible.
Hmmmmm, if a bowl of a variety of fruits could be a choice, I’d have no problem eating that for the rest of my life. If it has to be a “dessert”, then Crème brûlée will be my choice.
And what a lovely blue that mixer is!
Hands down it would have to be real eclair’s not the doughnut kind but the cream puff kind. I would be in heaven!
Brownies…gooey, warm out of the oven brownies…with a little crunchy on top with some roasted pecans in them!! Now I must get up and put some in the oven real quick!
I’m kind of old fashioned in that my favorite dessert has and will always be strawberry shortcake with a great dollop of whipped cream.
Ice cream! Ben and Jerry’s or Jeni’s. YUM!
Chocolate brownies with chocolate chips… Yummy!
Without a doubt….Tiramisu!
Would have to go with Peanut Butter oatmeal cookies!!!!
I would eat…
red velvet cupcakes (with cream cheese frosting..) .. my favorite one is from Sprinkles. They have the perfect balance of cake and frosting.. the not-too-dense but perfectly moist cake topped with rich cream cheese frosting is simply perfect! i’ve sampled red velvet cakes and cupcakes from all over LA and NY and I must say..
