Food Blog Forum and Something Brand New and Bright Blue

This post doesn’t involve baking from this weekend
but there’s something pretty sweet at the end I think you’ll like.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Okay, so I’ve been out of town for the last two weekends. First, Chicago for the Home and Housewares Show

IMG_9497

and last weekend somewhere a little bit warmer.

I was in sunny Florida for a weekend conference full of learning and sharing with friends – and a bunch of food and fun thrown in.

IMG_9522

Food Blog Forum Orlando. Put on by Jaden Hair of Steamy Kitchen, Todd & Diane of White On Rice Couple, Julie Deily of The Little Kitchen and Dawn Viola.

And sponsored by Disney, Kitchenaid, OXO, Land O’ Lakes, Whole Foods, Le Creuset and more.

The meeting was held at Walt Disney World and it was amazing. So well done. Julie from the Little Kitchen knows how to put together a great event. I was there with a bunch of great speakers. (See the whole group here) Alison Lewis (Ingredients, Inc.) and I spoke at round table discussions on writing a cookbook. I really enjoyed the round table set up because we were able to talk one-on-one with people and that’s much more my speed. I don’t think I’d be very good at getting up in front of a big room of people and talking. There would be a lot of umms and likes and pauses I’m sure.

photo19

On the evening before the meeting, we had a beautiful outdoor reception at the Grand Floridian. My sweet friend Jenny (Picky Palate) and I met some great girls. Nikki (Pennies on a Platter), Krissy (Krissy’s Creations), Julie (Table for Two) and Rachel (The Fabulous Foodie). Hi girls. Thanks for making Magic Kingdom such a blast!

Untitled-1

We hit up a few rides and went on a search for Dole Whip and churros before the park closed. It was my first time trying either. So yum! Thanks for sharing these phone pics girls.

We spent all day Saturday at Epcot where the meeting was held.

Untitled-2

It was definitely a special place to have a meeting. Not only were there great speakers, yummy treats, amazing prizes, like stand mixers and refrigerators, Le creusets and more but when we were done, we had a huge world to explore.

IMG_9445

If only I could have seen it all. I’ve never been to Epcot. I had no idea how ginormous this park was. Actually, I still don’t know how big it is. But that’s okay because what I did see was perfect.

photo12

We had an incredible lunch extravaganza prepared by Disney chefs from the parks and hotels.

Untitled-3

I focused on dessert of course.

Untitled-4

Lunch gave us all more time to talk.

Here’s Lauren’s Latest, Julie, Krissy and Jenny.

And I finally finally met Elise from Simply Recipes. Yay! Hope we can chat more next time.

Alison and Jenny. Love you guys.

And sweet, sweet Julie. Again, great job on pulling this event together.

IMG_9729

On Sunday we had a brunch hosted by Whole Foods. Incredible food means the cameras come out.

IMG_9649

See what I mean. That’s Dawn in the back, Julie and Jenny, and then Lindsey (Love and Olive Oil) in the front.

This might be one of my favorite pics from the weekend. It just makes me giggle at how we all do the same thing as bloggers. It’s almost uncontrollable when you have a camera in your hand.

IMG_9663

But in our defense, the flowers were pretty cheery.

IMG_9705

I enjoyed this weekend so much.

Hi Emily (Sage Recipes) and Kiran (Kirantarun)! It was nice meeting you both. Hope to see you again. And you too Droolius and Simply Southern Baking.

Thanks for a weekend of great memories with old friends and new!

So now the fun part.

I’m having an amazing giveaway today.

If you read last week’s post, you may remember some of the new products I talked about from the Home and Housewares Show in Chicago. One of them was this Kitchenaid mixer in Crystal Blue, the brand new color from the Catalina Collection that I fell in love with.

catalina-collection

Well, I met some of the folks from Kitchenaid in Chicago for the first time and and then coincidentally, we met again in Orlando the very next weekend as they were one of the sponsors of Food Blog Forum. It was a surprise to see them two weeks in a row. We talked about how much I loved the brand new color they debuted in Chicago and we thought it would be a fun giveaway here on bakerella.com.

KitchenAidCrystlblueWant to brighten up your kitchen and be one of the first people to own a mixer in this brand new, bright blue color courtesy of Kitchenaid? I know I would. It’s such a happy color. And much more vibrant in person.

SORRY, TIME’S UP! Winner Announced Below.

  • One winner will be chosen at random and announced sometime Wednesday evening.

Reading all of your sweet choices are driving me crazy. I have cravings now for way too many treats.

I don’t know if I could pick just one either. But warm brownies and ice cream are always a safe bet for me. No nuts. No whipped cream. No syrup. Plain and simple chocolate and vanilla. Warm and cold deliciousness.

Okay, ready for the winner?

It’s comment #6224 – Leann

Congratulations and enjoy your bright blue baby. Hope you make lots of amazing desserts and smile every time you look at it.

  1. I’d have to say a 3 layer pumpkin/pecan/cheese cake who can get tired of that when there are 3 layers of delicious happiness?!?!?!?

  2. chocolate cake or brownies for sure!!

  3. Chocolate Chip cookies with no nuts!!! Or vanilla ice cream. Either one. :)

  4. Chocolate cookies using the toll house recipe on the back of their chocolate chip bags. Love the mix of sweet and dash of salt!

  5. Peanut Butter Cups

  6. Green tea ice cream, totally!!! Never enough. Just love it.

  7. so pretty! I think i would go for something with fruit – – maybe chocolate covered strawberries!

  8. Definitely Sacher Torte!

  9. Cheesecake!! I just made a banana cream cheesecake this weekend for a few family birthdays… still thinking about it, yum!

  10. Brownies, the gooey kind. Yummy!

  11. Pumpkin pie with whipped cream!!

  12. I would choose peanut butter and chocolate ice cream Yum!

  13. I would love sweet potato casserole!!!

  14. Brownies. The richer the better, super fudgey and moist with some chocolate chips and peanut butter chips thrown in. With a nice glass of milk!

  15. Oh man… either ice cream or snickerdoodles.

  16. If I had to pick just one sweet, it would be my grandmother’s triple chip cookies. They have butterscotch, white chocolate, and chocolate chips, and are always soft and delicious (plus they were the first thing that I ever learned to bake).

  17. I would eat my mom’s homemade raspberry pie topped with chocolate ice-cream!!!

  18. I could eat cookie dough ice cream for the rest of my life. It’s a 2 for 1 special! Cookie dough and ice cream!

  19. I would have to say dark chocolate brownies — no nuts!!

  20. It’s a toss up between Mint Oreo Ice Cream and Devil’s Food Cupcakes!

  21. What a beautiful mixer, definitely a MUST have :) Hmmm, choosing a favorite dessert is tough, but I’d have to say chocolate covered strawberries, no wait, maybe strawberry shortcake… Oh darn too hard to choose just one! Oh I know, how about strawberry shortcake with chocolate covered strawberries on top! Yes!! That’s it, my mind is made up… STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE WITH CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES ON TOP …. oh sorry, lost my head for a moment :) Well good luck to everyone, I’m off to find some strawberry shortcake and chocolate covered strawberries! Yummmm….

  22. I’d eat mint chocolate chip ice cream for ever and ever!

    Fingers crossed!

  23. I could probably eat Ghirardelli’s dark chocolate peppermint bark over everything else. It’s so good, and I wish it wasn’t seasonal because I’m craving some right now!

  24. Without a doubt, I would choose: a thick, rich, fudgey brownie with chopped walnuts, topped with a dark chocolate and peanut butter ganache, complete with homemade whipped cream and a large scoop of vanilla bean ice cream! Mmmmm…

  25. My mom’s chocolate roll…a flourless meringue-like chocolate jelly roll filled with whipped cream. DELISH!

  26. I think the thing I would love to eat forever (sweets wise) would have to be either a molten lava cake with ice cream or red velvet cheesecake with cream cheese frosting.. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

  27. Hmmm…I’d have to go with ice cream. Picking one single solitary flavor FORVER is extremely difficult (and cruel), but I’d go with Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food, because it has most of my favorite sweets in it :)

  28. Tres Leches cake from a particular Cuban restaurant in Orange, Ca. So delicious!!

  29. That conference looked amazing! Epcot is really one of the best parks at Disney but is often overlooked because of the few amount of rides.

As for the giveaway, I would have to go with these peanut butter coconut bars with chocolate fudge frosting on top my mom would always make when I was a kid. Can’t go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter and the hint of coconut is a nice surprise =)

  30. I could eat strawberry shortcake with chocolate syrup!

  31. My favorite dessert ever and the one that I could absolutely not give up, even in a million years, is my Mom’s brownies…other brownies and desserts I’d happily ditch by the wayside if I had to choose only one dessert to eat. They’re made with melted dark chocolate (I switched up the recipe and added a little smoked Maldon sea salt for an extra kick) and have only a tiny bit of flour, so they’re super rich and fudgy. Yum!

  32. When it comes to sweets I’m traditional. I could eat chocolate ice cream forever. Edy’s is my favorite.

  33. I would eat cookies n cream ice cream- my favorite treat ever! Too bad I just found out I’m lactose intolerant. :( I do love any kind of sweet though!

  34. Mint brownies

  35. Rice pudding…..creamy rice pudding! Breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Always acceptable! I realize this is probably a rather off-the-wall choice…..but you didn’t know my Great Aunt Bessie either! She made, hands down, theeeee best rice pudding on the planet and I owe my infernal infatuation with the stuff all to her! (My Mom had it pretty bad, too!)

    LOVE the new color!

  36. Carrot Cake cheesecake. Yesss….

  37. A hard one to be sure. I’m rather a dessert fanatic. I’d have to go with devils food cake with buttercream frosting and a nice big scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream on the side.

  38. I’d definitely go with dark chocolate covered sea salt caramels.

  39. Lemon meringue pie! Now I want some…

  40. Apple pie – my love forever! Thank you for a great giveaway and a very inspiring blog.

  41. I could eat home-made chocolate pudding – Betty Crocker’s old-school stand-by recipe – forever. It’s everything good and delicious in the world.

  42. ice box lemon pie. This is the best pie I have ever had .. The sweet and the tangy just gives your mouth a hello..

  43. Plain old fashioned chocolate chip cookies, nothing beats it!

  44. It’s March, so I’ve got them on the brain…but definitely Girl Scout Samoas. I’m drooling just thinking about them.

  46. I would definitely have a huge slice of my favorite The Impossible Cake !!!!! (chocoflan) mmm!!!!!..chocolate cake, flan and caramel all together mmmmm!!!!!!! Yummmy!!

  47. A couple years ago, I had a lot of trouble with my weight. Bruised by many years of harsh ballet training, I stopped eating and my mind conspired against me. I thought of food as evil and beat myself up for every slip; I baked continuously but ate none of it. One day that stands out, though, was when my father made scones for breakfast. They were maple scones made with Whole Wheat KAF Pastry flour with light icing on top and I ate around half the recipe. That one day, I thought nothing about the ravages it would (not) rage on my body. I thought only of the pleasure of a finely crafted piece of goodness and how I wasn’t bloated or guilty or hungry or anything but happy.
I have healed. My family and friends helped me heal and be at peace with myself. It’s still a struggle to find balance, but that moment is a good memory for me. It reminds me that food is an art and I should enjoy it as it deserves. I don’t need to go overboard and I don’t need to deprive myself of pleasure. Baking throughout this time has helped me recognize this truth by Julia Child: “Cooking is like love; it should be entered into with abandon or not at all.” Life is for living, and I want to eat each meal for the rest of my life as I did those scones.

  48. Strawberries and Cream Cupcakes with White Chocolate Frosting, then topped with Raspberry Sprinkles. Of course, I make these…and they are heavenly. And my favorite!!!! Thank you for the contest!!!!

  49. I would eat Amaretto Ice Cream with Strawberries mixed in forever!

  50. My pick would be Breyer’s Natural Vanilla Ice Cream. Love that stuff!

  51. I would hafta go with some strawberry shortcake with a little whip cream

  52. I would choose anything made with pumpkin – cheesecake, bread, muffins, etc!!!!!

  53. If I had to pick one …and not change my mind (I do this often) I would pick oatmeal white chocolate, cranberry cookies. I feel kind of heathly eating them :) kind of ;)

  54. That photo of photographers is cracking me up!
But to answer your question: Snickers and/or anything containing the main ingredients of Snickers. It makes for a yummy, naughty treat, but you can also fool yourself into thinking you’re getting a little protein from the peanuts. :)

  55. Wow, this is hard! I think it would have to be Chocolate Caramel Turtles, from Widman’s Candy shop!

  56. I could eat creme brulee every day for the rest of my life.

  57. If I could only eat one dessert it would have to be the sparkly s’mores cupcakes (or as she calls them – “I love you s’mores” from iSparkle Cupcakes in Wi. They are the best!

  58. I recently made a dessert that reminded me of my trip to Europe when I ‘met’ my now husband! All the chocolate I tasted there had a hazelnut flavor to it. My creation is essentially a lava cake. I took my chocolate cake “dough” and molded it into a small pan and filled it with Nutella. I topped it off with more cake dough to seal the Nutella in. I placed the molded lava cake on a plate and popped it in the microwave for like 30 seconds to warm it. It was so decadent and it brought back so many memories of my time in Europe. If I had to pick only one dessert to have for the rest of my life, this would be it!!

  59. Chocolate pudding!

  60. My favorite dessert would be sugar cookies with frosting! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! Oh yeah!

  61. My favourite would have to be my Mum’s Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting! It is super moist and delicious and no one can make it the same – but I sure would like to practice if only I had a Crystal Blue KitchenAid!!!! Best of luck to everyone in the competition :)

  62. I would pick What Cake ! Kind of a cross between a spice cake and German Chocolate. But healthy, because of the oatmeal in it ( thats what I tell myself, anyway, lol )

  63. White Chocolate Chip Coconut Macademia Nut Cookies! YUMMMMMM

  64. If I had to pick one dessert it would be warm fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies. With a cold glass of milk its heaven for me! I am still searching the internet for the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe. One thats soft and melts in your mouth.

I would love to win ta Kitchen Aid mixer and can’t afford one on my own. So all my desserts require lots of muscle.

  65. WOW..THE COLOUR! Its totally amazing! And this giveaway couldn have come at a beta tym!! My bosch mixer inherited from my late mum in law(who was a excellent baker) which is a gooood couple of years old jus giving up:( it holds sooo much fond memories of her patience,in being able to teach me lotsa old traditional baking skills n tips..I think even if I’m left without noooo tools the only dessert I just would not stay without is dreamy creamy choc mousse, and home made ice cream! Yummmmm.. And with regard to cakes, I’ll have to go for lindt cupcakes!!! Wat can I say I’m a total chocoholic..Thanks bakerella for the inspiration, creativity and positive atitude despite everything you’ve been through!!!! ****hugs****

  68. I think I would die a happy person if I could have tiramisu every single day!

  69. I love cookie dough – chocolate chip cookie dough with the chocolate chips. I don’t know if that counts as a dessert but its so good!

  70. If I could only eat one dessert for the rest of my life, I would choose puppy/reindeer chow if it counts as a dessert! That stuff is my addiction! Yummmmm, now I want some! :)

  71. I’d have to say caramel apple cheesecake bars. I am literally drooling over my keyboard as we speak just thinking about these bars. That tells you I could eat em’ 24/7.

  72. I would have chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce. Mmmmm.

  73. Believe it or not it would be just plain vanilla ice cream. I just love it.
Thanks for the chance to win!

  74. I would have a caramel fudge pecan brownie with cake batter ice cream on top!

  75. I would pick french macarons…best ever!

  76. My favorite would be turtle cheesecake – it combines my 2 favorites: chocolate and cheesecake! Yum
    Thanks

  77. Chocolate Chip Cookies. Nothings beats a warm from the oven gooey chocolate chip cookie!

  78. If I could eat any dessert for the rest of my life it would be humming bird cake. It is so yummy and is a comfort food from my childhood.

  79. That mixer is SO pretty! If I could only eat one thing it would have to be birthday cake ice cream, that way it’s like 2 in 1! Can’t go wrong with ice cream and cake!

  80. If I had to choose (and it is difficult) I would pick the Peanut Butter and Jelly Cupcake from Gigi’s cupcakes. It is the best!

  81. But! But! There are so many I still have yet to try!

Sigh, if I can only pick one – Mille-Fueille (Napoleons). It’s a cake and it’s a pastry, with a hard cookie-like frosting. Everything at once! Nom, nom, nom . . .

  82. I would eat mint chocolate ice cream!

  83. There’s this one dessert at a nearby restaurant called “the lunch box” which is near perfection. It has the best combination of salty and sweet with chocolate covered pretzels, a peanut butter caramel chocolate ganache bar from heaven, marshmallow fluff… I’m drooling just thinking about it!

  84. Peanut butter cookies. Slightly crispy on the outside and soft inside. I LOVE THEM.

  85. Pistachio ice cream!

  86. I would say red velvet cupcakes with chocolate chips, with cream cheese frosting!

  87. Definitely white chocolate muffins with raspberry custard filling!

  88. such a hard question! if i’d be eating only this for the rest of my life, then i guess i’d have to choose vanilla ice cream. so boring, i know.. but REALLY good vanilla ice cream never ceases to amaze me. suuuper creamy; REAL vanilla bean flecks; it’s heaven.

  89. If I could only eat one dessert for the rest of my life it would probably be a yellow butter cake with chocolate frosting!!!! Mmmmmmmm!!!!!!

  90. i think my life time dessert would be a banana split with coffee ice creaam, chocolate ice cream, and vanilla ice cream topped with hot fudge sauce, whipped cream, and toasted nuts. and i really love those marichino cherries.

i’m really glad to see these mixers available in so many bright colors. they are beautiful.

  91. Orejas! (elephant ears) with the tips dipped on dark chocolate.

  92. If I could eat only one kind of sweet, it would be the chocolate cake my mom always made for my birthday! Chocolate cake with chocolate pudding and Cool Whip frosting. It is so easy to make, yet, a very special cake for me!

  93. Bakerella, I am a long time follower, I love your blog, your ideas, and I pray for you and your health!

If I could only eat one dessert for the rest of my life, I would *hands down* choose my mom’s homemade chocolate chip brownies. The brownies are so moist and chocolatey, and the peppermint cream is just to die for! She tops them with a hershey’s syrup fudgy mixture on top…She’s famous for them and it’s not hard to tell why! They’re phenomenal!

    Love you!

  94. It’s really hard to pick just one, but I would probably choose something like fudgy brownies with a peanut butter swirl and a nice glass of cold milk!

  95. I would have to go with ice cream…it’s difficult (and cruel) to only choose one flavor, but I’d go with Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food because it has most of my favy sweets in it!

  96. What an amazing giveaway! You know, it’s funny that you ask about choosing just one dessert to eat for the rest of one’s life. I think about this a lot, which is scandalous, because instead I should be thinking about volunteering and fighting the good fight and how my shamrock plant really needs more sunshine. In the end, I believe I’d choose to eat lemon meringue pie. Yes, it’s frilly and complicated and slightly intense, but it’s just one of those incredible flavors, you know? And it’s so very pretty to look at. Ah, a lifetime of fancy pie. Sounds nice.

  97. If I could have one dessert…it would be Sprinkles Black and White cupcake. It is so good…I have tried other flavors but, the Black/White is my favorite.

  98. I would have to choose right out of the oven, double chocolate chunk cookies! Now my mouth is watering for them!!

  99. Magic cookie bars! Chocolate and coconut or chocolate and banana are my favorite sweet flavors. But coconut usually wins out in the end.

  100. I love spice cake with coffee frosting!!!

  101. I would pick my favorite cookie, peanut butter chocolate chip, but I don’t know if I’d want to live a life where that’s the only dessert I’m limited to :(

  102. Amazing give away! I’ve wanted a mixer for years but can never afford one. My one dessert of choice would hands down me a chocolate eclair. I would miss other desserts, but this is one that will be a part of my life forever and I could not live without it!

  103. I would probably choose sweet potatoe pie because it is oh so yummy :) the blue kitchen aid is BEAUTIFUL!

  104. I think I’ll have to say Milk Chocolate covered strawberries. This way I get my chocolate fix but also my strawberry one as well!

  105. Starbuck’s Esperesso Chip Ice Cream for sure =)

  106. Any kind of cheescake…yummy! :)

  111. Definitely Cookies and cream chocolate. I love it!

  112. Raspberry swirl cheesecake =) Yummy!

  113. If I to choose one for ever, so I must say chocolate ice cream…!!!

  114. Coconut cake. Since I gave up sweets for lent, I am counting the days until Easter. I will have a huge slice then!

  115. I think I would eat forever the cookies and cream chocolate. Let me tell you, I am not huge fan of chocolate, even tough I can have a whole bar for myself and not get bored. It’s amazing!
BTW l love you bakerella!!! From Dominican Republic here is a big fan of your page!

  116. I would eat my mother-in-law’s authentic Southern sour cream pound cake. No icing, no glaze, no froufrou…just the perfect, moist, rich, dense, vanilla-scented cake.

  117. Oh, gosh, I think you just asked me the hardest question of my life. But since you probably don’t mean favorite dessert from each category and I can’t phone a friend, I’ll just have to be a big girl and pick one. So, it would have to be a grasshopper sundae from a place called Gilles’ Frozen Custard. It’s the richest, creamiest, sweetest vanilla custard you will ever eat – covered in gooey hot fudge, crushed Oreo’s, and a marshmallow mint sauce. Sorry for any drooling I’ve caused.

  118. sugar cookie with soft middle and crispy edges with a light covering of buttercream

  119. Picking only one treat is near impossible because I’m constantly trying new things and ignoring perfectly good recipes once I’ve tried them. But if I HAD to choose, I suppose it would be either oatmeal chocolate chip cookies or my mom’s infamous Christmas candy (chocolate covered caramel and pecans). I was born and raised on both of those delicious treats and they are the only two sweet things I truly ever crave. Plus, eating them isn’t just satisfying my sweet tooth, they always cheer me up and remind me of so many great memories. That’s what good food is all about.

  120. This crystal blue color is so pretty! Love it!

I also love coconut meringues that melt in my mouth! Yummy :)

  121. Oh my G!!! I am speechless at the glory that is you, blue Kitchen Aid!
If I could eat only one dessert, it would be Tiramisu- never boring, perfect after every meal and at its best at 3am with a spoon and the fridge door open.

  122. ah jeez, that’s a tough question for me since i love so many different kinds of sweets! however, one of my favorite desserts, and something that would be very difficult for me to get tired of, is plain pound cake with streusel topping :]

  123. Such a tough decision! So many delicious treats are running through my mind, but in the end, you have to go with that one treat that reminds you of home… for me, that means peanut butter cookies! Moist on the inside with just a little crisp, my mom and I stumbled on the right ratios one day in the kitchen and I have been hooked ever since.

  124. If I could only eat one sweet/ dessert for the rest of my life, it would without a doubt be the Toffee Nut cookie from Panera Bread. This cookie has swirls of gooey toffee and little nut chips throughout.

    Mmmm…………………………….

  125. My favorite dessert is creme brulée.. very smooth with diferent falvors each time!!!!

  126. Oh my gosh this is the hardest question ever. I love so many treats/desserts. I’m going to have to say creme brulee with berries on top.

  127. mine is chocolate covered strawberries from godiva!

  128. Only ONE dessert?? That’s a hard question…but I must go for something chocolate. I would say fleur de del cupcakes – chocolate topped with chocolate ganache and filled with salted caramel. So yummy!!

  129. The one dessert I would love to have…just one more time is my Mother’s apple snack pie. When I would come home from school she would make one for me. Pie crust in the bottom of a 11 X 7 pan, sliced apples in rows and some kind of cream filling over the apples and sprinkled with cinnamon. I never got her recipe before she died. :-(

  130. OOH this is tough, but I will go with coconut cream pie.

  131. My would have to be chocolate chip cream filled crumb cake from entenmann

  132. I love chocolate pudding!

  133. I’d pick trifle, probably strawberry flavour, because it’s like 4 things in one-jelly, cake, custard and cream. Yum!

  134. That’s so hard, but I guess I would choose Chocolate Chip Cookies. There is just something so simple and wonderful about them, that its the only sweet I can imagine having for the rest of my life.

  135. dark chocolate brownies– there’s never a bad time to have brownies !!! Love the blue mixer– my tiny kitchen would feel like one of the big boys with this mixer on the counter.

  136. ice cream……vanilla….cause then I can add to it :)
ooohh…..gotta make icecream in cake pop form…lol

  137. Ahh, I would love one of those mixers! My old one just isn’t as wonderful.
It would have to be tiramisu. Tiramisu tiramisu tiramisu! I love tiramisu.

  138. Oatmeal raisin cookies. Hands down.

  139. New York style cheesecake, without a doubt!

  140. My daugher makes the best ever chocolate chip cupcakes with orea frosting they are extra yummy

  141. I would eat sweet crepes with raspberry preserves. For ever and ever.

  142. Well, I am 38 weeks pregnant, but lately, my dessert of choice has been vanilla icre cream, goat’s milk caramel, spanish peanuts, & whipped cream. I could eat this every night for the rest of my life if I had to — small price to pay for a kitchen aid mixer!

  143. If I had to choose, I would pick strawberry shortcake. There is no better combination than perfectly ripe strawberries with vanilla whipped cream.

  144. I honestly don’t think I could pick just one dessert to survive on for the rest of my life!! I’m having a hard time just thinking of what my top 5 would look like. Right now my favorite dessert to eat is fruit tarts with custard, so if I had to pick that will have to do (but it will change by tomorrow).

  145. Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies. There is something about a warm, gooey cookie fresh out of the oven. Pure Heaven!!

  146. i like chocolate turnovers and there is one place you can get them in the drive thru is Arby’s =0)

  147. I would eat chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Love that chocolate!

  148. Peanut butter cookies with fork marks. Thank you for your wonderful blog – it makes my day!

  149. It would be my Grandmothers Triple layered “Coconut Cake” I never thought to ask her for the recipe before she passed. I have never tasted another Coconut cake like her’s before. She made it for years for the family even before I was born so I am sure it was a recipe handed down through the generations. Lesson learned….Make sure to get those treasured recipes to keep passing along :)

The one dessert that I choose is S’more cupcake. It has chocolate, and marshmallow and the graham cracker. So good.

  162. Definitely this Swedish cake called “kladdkaka”, translated it means “sticky cake”. It’s like a thin chocolate cake, with a kind of runny texture when freshly baked, and after a while in the fridge it gets this kind of toffee like texture. Amazing with cream… Yum.

  177. if i could eat just one dessert for the rest of my life it would be something called a brown butter blackberry tart. flaky tart crust with a buttery filling baked with fresh blackberries in it….pair that warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and i am in heaven!!!!

  178. Best dessert ever would have to be my Moms homemade pinnaple upside down cake. It was the best!

  179. Creme Brulee. Without a doubt.

  180. If it were the only sweet for the rest of my life, it would have to be our famous (?) oatmeal cookies. (When my daughter was eight, we won the Mississippi State Fair parent and child cookie contest with this cookie! She’s 30 now, so you do the math…)
Anyway, it has oats and golden raisins and pecans and chocolate chunks, not chips, and freshly ground cinnamon and nutmeg. Drool. Oh my, I guess I’ll end up making some tonight!
Never tire of them, ever, so that would be the signal to me I could love them forever.
    Thanks for the great giveaway!

  181. I’d really rather have 3 choices, or 4, but if I had to narrow it down I would have to say fresh-baked, gooey Chocolate Chip cookies with any kind of nut thrown in. Yum.

  182. My favorite dessert is New York Cheesecake!!

  183. I would choose cannoli…just the right combination of crunchy and creamy…yummmm

  195. I love chocolate fondants. They are so easy to make, really taste like chocolate and I love the melted centre…
    No doubt about it!

  196. Chocolate molten cake from Chillis! I think I’ve gone there more than a few times to just eat that!

  197. If I could only pick one I would choose chocolate chip cookies, a soft cookie with big chocolate that was melted and gooey!

  198. Shortbread cookies

  199. I love ice cream! It would have to be an ice cream with any candybar mixed in! Yum!!!!

  200. I would definitely choose flan. I grew up with my mexican family as a child and kind of lost touch as an adult. Although, I love american pastries and desserts the flan always makes me think of my family back in Mexico. Creme Brûlée is pretty amazing as well but flan just… takes the cake :)
