I’ll just call them Cookie Hats since Easter is now over. I made these this weekend but you can certainly do them for other occasions like Mothers Day. Showers, too. You can change the colors for different themes. Any Red Hat Society peeps out there? These would be fun. I can also see these for a Kentucky Derby party – you could get really creative with them. Or forget the flowers, paint them with silver luster dust and turn them into flying saucers.
I found the instructions for these cuties in a book called Cookie Swap.
Here’s what they are supposed to look like. Gorgeous, huh! These are made using royal icing to coat the hat and pipe the perfect little dots. Fondant is used for the flowers and the bands.
Now, I didn’t have extra hours to wait for royal icing to dry when I made these, so I improvised. But, if time weren’t an issue, I’d go royal.
Instead, I covered the sugar cookie hats in tinted and rolled fondant…
And used sugar pearls to add detail. To help them stay in place, I used the pearls to press indentations around the hat. Then, I put a tiny amount of water on the sugar pearl and placed it in position.
Here they are with and without the pearls.
The base of the sugar cookie hats should be rolled thin before baking and the top part of the hat should be thicker to accommodate the fondant band. I used the shortbread sugar cookie recipe in the book, but feel free to use your own recipe and decorate.
Note: To get the fondant and cookie shapes to match in size, I re-cut the cookies with the cutter when I took them out of the oven and while they were still warm because they had spread a little.
You can attach the fondant to the cookies with a little bit of icing and you can attach the fondant flowers with a little dab of water.
Fondant Flowers.
All I can say is I heart my flower blossom plunger cutter. Say that fast three times.
I bought it a while ago and this is the first time I’ve used it.
You can cut shapes out of fondant and by pressing down on the plunger, you can make center indentations… or not.
You can also press the plunger into the fondant and remove the flower shape to then press and release onto a sponge.
This will give the flowers a curved shape.
But, without a sponge handy I had to improvise again.
So I grabbed the paper towel roll nearby and laid it on its side.
See how they curve when you press them into a soft surface and release? If you wanted, you could also add sugar pearls to the centers or pipe with icing.
These were fun to use. Now I need to get my hands on a little leaf plunger cutter to round out the look.
Cookie Swap is full of recipes, decorating and displaying ideas.
Like these….
Yes, this is a cookie. A ridiculously beautiful cookie. Seriously, who does that? Amazing!
And these are in the book, too. Love them! Looooooove them. But, I’d have to find someone to pipe those dots on for me. Mine would never look that perfect.
In addition to really pretty sweets, the book also has cute cookies to make you swoon.
Like these hamburger and hotdog shaped macarons. Dying.
And these watermelon cookies. Oh and umm, the lemons? Those are cookies, too. I know. Craziness.
Want to try your hand at some spectacular cookies?
Or just want to look at pretty pictures?
Enter for a chance to win a copy of the book.
Just leave a comment on this post and tell me if you’re an adventurous cookie maker or content taste tester.
Deadline to enter is Monday, April 5th at 5:00 pm ET. Sorry, Time’s Up! Winner below.
One winner will be chosen at random and announced Monday evening on this post.
Good luck!
Okay, we have a winner. But first, I’d like to say how glad I am that so many of you lean towards the adventurous side. It’s fun to challenge yourself and this book will do just that.
Alright, let’s see who won.
YAY for Sarah the Adventurer! This book has plenty of projects to keep you busy. Have fun.
I’m adventurous but my family is not – they want me to make something tried and true. Boring ol’ chocolate chip cookies that are guaranteed to be awesome are better than new cookies that may or may not be good. I would love to force them to branch out, though! :)
I want this book!
I like to think of myself as adventurous :)
Definitely an adventurous cookie maker!! I love making them!!
I’m a content tast tester! :) I haven’t had much luck with cookies so I’m a little intimidated by them. Your hats looks fabulous! I just need to get over my fear and make some cookies!
I am definitely more of a content taste tester, but I do like to venture into more adventurous baking projects from time to time. These cookies (if you can even call them that!) are wonderful!
I would say that I like to bake the cookies more than decorate! If there are only a few to decorate, I can handle that part, but if there are too many…forget about it! So I would say it’s probably a split decision!
I’m an adventurous cookie maker–I’ve been baking decorated glazed sugar cookies for holidays for many years. Loved your hat cookies–they would be great for Mother’s Day!
I like to make new things! these cookies look like fun!
I am a little of both, like you I try to find a faster way to do it because time is an issue or I only try recipes that have maybe two steps to cut down on time.
Thanks for your site. Love it.
I love to bake cookies, and try new things with them. I just recently practiced with royal icing, and I can’t wait to use it more!
I would love that book, thank you for the chance.
Adventurous all the way!!! Although tasting them is good too, but I love baking and trying out new dessert recipes.
Oh I am a adventurous baker! I love making new cookies. We have a Christmas cookie club and I make a new cookie every year! Just love trying new cookies and any new baking idea. These hat cookies are just beautiful! I hope I win the book if not I’ll be buying this one!
I thought I was an adventurous cookie maker until I saw this post!! I need to up my game.
I’m not an adventurous cookie decorator, per se, but I do love to try out different cookie recipes. I’m still on the lookout for that perfect all-natural soft chocolate chip cookie recipe (my current favorite uses pudding mix) and have gone through about a dozen different recipes to compare. Oh, and I do taste-test them too. Someone has to do it.
Oh my goodness! Those watermelon and lemon cookies look too real!!! I would love to attempt baking cookies like that though, if I failed miserably, I’d definitely be content as a tester. ;D Hope you had a great Easter!
When I have time (with two little girls around) I LOVE to be adventurous and cookies are one of my fav’s! My 2 year old is my taste-tester :) This book looks adorable, and I’d love to try these out!
adventurous cookie maker! I love experimenting… and making my hubby taste it all… sometimes good, sometimes bad.
I love to bake cookies! I love to eat cookie dough.. so if there is ever any dough left, then i bake. :) I usually just go w/ basic frosting, but would love to be able to make some of the fancy ones!
i’m very adventurous! i love making all kinds of cookies! i would LOVE this book! :)
I am a little bit of both.. I think everything tastes better when my mom does it but I have made cake pops (bunnys which everyone says looks like mice…) But I would love a copy of that book!
I am definitely more of a taste tester but am starting to experiment with cookie making. Tried making Easter cutout cookies with royal icing for the first time and lets just say they didn’t go according to plan, but were delicious! The cookies in this book look adorable and I would love to give cookies another try! :)
Right now my kids are so little and time-consuming that I’m more a taste-tester, but when I have more time I’m totally an adventurous baker! I made your swimming pool/beach cake pops with the teddy grahams last year with some of those rainbow sour punch strips for beach towels and they were SO CUTE! I’d love to do more things like that.
Thank you for telling me about this book! I love to try new things with cupcakes and cookies, so I can only imagine all the different possibilities in this book.
I just LOVE making and decorating cookies. Those hats are so pretty and sound simple enough. I am just drooling to get my hands on that book to look at all the pretty cookies.
OMG, those cookies are amazing! I’m more adventurous. I love trying new recipes and reworking them… but I don’t mind taste testing either ;)
I love doing food crafts! But I haven’t played around much with cookies, mostly muffins and cupcakes. I also made some of your graduation hat lollipops. They were terrific and a big hit!
I think this book would be a great tool to get me into playing around more with cookies- they look so gorgeous! Thanks for a chance to win!
i would just love that book!
The only reason I have come to like baking is if I can make it look pretty. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas. I hope I win.
Can I be both!!!! Cookies are the perfect treat and so fun to make!
I would like to be adventurous, because those are about the cutest cookies I’ve ever seen!
I love to get creative. I don’t always have the time, or the patience to do it, but I LOVE to come up with unique things to share. This book could definitely help out with that!
I’m an adventurous baker…and eater!
oh, Bakerella, you have done it again. I am a sucker for cute food.
I have been making printed cookies, like your Valentine cookies, for a year or so. They are always a hit! I am an adventurous baker, but it better taste good, too.
I would love to win the cookie book and am anxiously awaiting YOUR book!
I love to bake! I would rather bake than cook meals, LOL!
I love to make new cute sweet treats. Just made your Easter basket cupcakes this weekend. What next?
Mostly cookie taster but every now and then I’ll surprise myself and become an adventurous cookie maker.
The most adventurous cookie I tried, was from a gourmet food magazine – I created savory gingerbread mermaid cookies a little larger than your hand. It took the whole day!
I’d love a copy of this book. Thanks ;)
I LOOOOOVEEE COOKIES!!! COUNT ME IN ON THE TASTE TESTER !
I believe I am both! I love to bake, try anything new, and then taste it! This books looks like a blast!
I’m definitely a novice baker, but your blog inspires me to really push myself! Thanks for giving everyone such good tips! :-)
These cookies look amazing and they would be so much fun to try!!! I’m fairly new to baking, but I am on my way to becoming an adventurous baker. The taste testing part…well, I’m already a pro at that! ;)
I like to bake but am only mildly adventurous when it comes to decorating. I am a much more enthusiastic taster.
I love baking cookies! they just make the whole house smell good. My happiness is making the cookies and letting others enjoy ^.^
I am definitely a cookie maker. All the time. My husband loves it. :) I can’t say I don’t love eating them too.
Oh how I wish I had more time to be so creative in my cooking. This are gorgeous. Such fun ideas.
I’d love to win the book – if only to daydream :)
I’d have to admit while I’d like to be an adventurous baker, I’m not. I guess you could call me the taster for now.
I love to bake cookies! There are so many wonderful recipes to try and so many tools to make decorating even more fun! I hope you’re feeling better and better each day.
I like to taste the cookies I make :)
I always TRY to make pretty cookies like this, but they always end up tasting better than they look :)
Can I be both? I love to bake, but I also love to eat what I bake…not necessarily a good combination!
I’m very adventures with cookies :-)
I love to bake & test cookies but I would rather be a tester ANYDAY!!! lol It’s just………….so much more fun! ;)
Right now I am a huge cookie taster and have dabled with the cookie looking cookies, not like these fancy ones. I’d love to try though! Thanks Bakerella!
Oh these are so sweet. I would love to give them a try. I worked for years at Cookies By Design…..I was the decorator. I miss it so much. It was a dream job.
Have a wonderful day.
xxoo Valarie
I would love to have that book!!!! I am a cookie maker, but nothing ever that adventurous, usually just dropped cookies. But I could always dream!
definitely a content taste tester since my skills aren’t so good. if i do manage to get my hands on that book i’m gonna be raring to go and change into an adventurous baker!! >:D
Hi! I’m 14, almost 15, and im pretty pro in the kitchen and I do like to make tricky looking cookies :). But my favorite is to taste test the fancy cookies.
I’m somewhere in between. I like to try out new cookie recipes, but I also like to fall back on my old faithful recipes. :)
I am an adventurous baker. My husband is my taste tester.
Adventure, for sure. Sugar cookies are my specialty, I make them for weddings, b-days, showers, every holiday…I make them so often I really can’t stand the sight of them — but people just keep asking me to make them! Crazy!!
i am definitely a cookie MAKER. I love those cute little bonnets and will probably make them for our Mother/Daughter brunch at church for Mother’s Day. So cute! Thanks for sharing.
I am DEFINITELY not patient (or coordinated) enough to make such gorgeous and intricate cookies! I’m a taste-tester, drop cookie maker :)
In the summer, when I have more time, I’m an adventurous cookie baker. But during the school year, I have to settle for giddy eater of all cookies!
I love to bake cookies, but they are never that intricately decorated!
I’m a cookie taster – but how cute using different size cupcakes.
I’ve never been “baking adventurous”, until now! If I win this book (or even if I don’t) I’m gonna take a walk on the wild side & try some of these! They are amazing!!
I am definitely a content taste tester, however, I aspire to be the adventurous cookie maker.
I’m definitely a taste tester right now but not entirely by choice – I’ve been stockpiling cookie recipes to try once this semester of grad school ends and I actually have some time to experiment
That book looks like so much fun!
Love to eat….love to bake. Made your easter basket cupcakes and everyone loved them!
I like to make them and taste them!! I have such a weakness for cookies, that I actually don’t make them unless I have somewhere to take them or a large group of people coming to eat them. If they are in the house, I will eat them!
What a pretty book with great ideas…..how much fun it would be to makes some of these with my girls!!!
Adorable hat cookies! I am an adventurous cookie baker, but want to become a much better decorator. This book would be awesome!!
I’m more of a taster, but I’m getting prepared to join the adventure!
I like to make cookies – but mine never turn out like yours. I’m more of a drop cookie-maker. But your baked items are always beautiful!
I am an adventurous cookie maker and an 11 year host of a cookie swap at the holidays – this would be an awesome book to have!
Currently, I am the taste tester, but I would love to become more adventerous. It’s not easy in a tiny college apartment, but I have done my fair share of baking.
Super fun!!!
I would love to make those cookies for my grandmas red hat society! So gorgeous!
content cookie taster
I’m an adventurer! Usually things don’t come out quite as I envision them, since I tend to improvise a lot with my tiny kitchen and lack of proper tools…. but I adventure on, all the same.
I am a cookie maker, but not as adventurous as I could be! This book would be great for experimenting.
Hm, well I’d have to say I love tasting them but I am usually the baker, and I’m growing more adventurous! This site has definitely given me something to look forward to making, although I don’t think they will turn out quite like yours :P
I’m not an adventurous cookie baker yet, but I’d like to be! (And I’m pretty sure my boyfriend and his roommate would take one for the team and taste-test)
Very adventurous cookie baker!
Love any pretty little cookie! Would love to try the wedding cake cookie towers for a wedding shower!
Love it! I am definitely an adventurous cookie maker!
I’m am a little adventurous cookie maker, but of course also a taste tester.
I’d love to try all of these! I’m definitely adventurous, but they have to taste great, too!
I LOVE the stacked wedding cake cookies and the monogrammed one! Got the new “What’s New Cupcake” book this weekend, I’m sure you’ve seen it–but it’s adorable too!!!
Content cookie taster who wishes she had the supplies/time/patience to make beautiful cookies like these :]
I try to be adventurous, but I need more patience!
I just made and tested some cookies this weekend for my wedding in June. Those wedding cake cookies would be the perfect addition! :)
Cookies are one of my favorite foods! Such gorgeous pictures in that book — and love those Easter bonnets you made, too. They’re all almost too pretty to eat! I cut-out and decorated sugar cookie carrots, bunnies, crosses, and eggs yesterday. Nothing like what I see here, but pretty cute nonetheless. But not so cute that I don’t want to eat them!
LOVE YOUR TALENT! I wish I was able to make those beautiful cookies. I don’t think I have the patience, but I LOVE looking at the amazing photos! They are absolutely gorgeous…I would love to learn how to do that. They are so amazing, but I would feel guilty eating them knowing how much work goes into each one. If they are as tasty as they look, it could be hard to resist.
I love to try new things…so I would have to go with adventurous!!!
I am most definitely an adventurous cookie maker and that book is making me want to bake!
I don’t get quite that intricate on my details, but I love to bake the cookies.
Love them, BTW!!
I am an adventurous cookie maker, but I settle for content taster now that I have an 11 month old. Its not as easy to find the time to bake anymore, but I am easing my way back! I miss it! These projects look beautiful! yummm!!!
I am a content taste tester fot sure but a wanna be adventurous cookie maker!!
Adventurous! :)
I’d like to say I’m a little bit of each – although may be more of a taster than a stylist!
I’ll make cute cookies for a special birthday or party, but I’m content to be a taste tester most of the time.
Wow, those are too cute for words. I see them at a tea party for my daughter and her best friend. I am an adventurous baker for parties or birthday luncheons, but a content taster when I bake for my family. How’s that for a combination? Thanks for all your work and fabulous ideas Bakarella!
I love tasting cookies – but don’t mind experimenting with different types of dough and decorating.
Ooo I LOVE to bake, and trying new things!! Although I don’t know if I’d quite have the patience to do alllll the little teeny details! Beautiful, though!
Love the book… it looks great. Does any one know where you can buy the book in Canada?
What no sticks?
I am definately an adventurous cookie maker! I’m all up for the thrill of making crazy concoctions!
I tend to stick the old reliables that I know I can make well: chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and sugar cookies!
Cookies aren’t my thing really….unless someone else makes them! I am addicted to xmas sugar cookies with cream cheese frosting mmmm
I’m all about making cookies but when it comes to decorating they usually look NOTHING like they are supposed to :)
i would say I am an adventurous cookie maker… I started baking this past x-mas and can’t seem to get enough. There are so many books out there and this one seems like one of the coolest.
these are adorable! this weekend, i worked with rolled fondant for the very first time. it was fun! i also tried my hand at decorating cupcakes with buttercream…. not as much fun. let’s just say i need lots of help with that.
Your Easter hats are sooo cute!!!!
I think I am more of a taste tester but I’m slowly turning into an adventurous baker too! :)
I’d say I am a fairly adventurous cookie maker…but taste testing is DEFINITELY something that I enjoy too!
I bake but i’m not that adventurous as I usually fail. So, I guess I’m a content taste tester!
I want to be an adventurous cookie master!
I’m always up for learning a new cookie recipe! These look AMAZING!!!
I LOVE the watermelon cookies and lemon cookies! So adorable and perfect for our summer parties!!!! I sure wish I had a pool to lay next to while eating those haha.
I’d say I’m an adventurous cookie maker. I’m more adventurous with flavours than decorations; I tend to stick to royal icing and coloured sugars.
To be honest, even if I don’t win, I’ll probably buy a copy of the book.
I am an adventurous cookie maker! My future hubby is the cookie tester. My favorite cookie so far is a carmel apple pie cookie. Yum! (Also, everyone at work is chomping down on a left over Easter cookie cake I made!)
HOT DIGGITY DOG COOKIES?! How adorable! I’m more of an adventurous baker..I’m definately trying those and the hamburger cookies for the 4th of July!
Absolutely AMAZING!!!! I wish I could make these, but sadly, I am more of a cookie taster. Not really complaining about that though! :)
those little hats are sooo adorable! I would like to say I am an adventurous maker, but I think I do best taste testing. Still, I think I may have to try my hand at these little hats for a baby shower that is coming up :)
I’m all about adventure and my husband is the taster. I’ve gotten the cookie and icing recipes down (sugar with royal icing is my fav) but the piping bit is hard for me. I guess I should keep practicing so he can keep tasting.
oh i’m a cookie MAKER — that’s where my baking began!!:)
These are too beautiful to eat!
Definitely an adventurous cookie maker! Even if they didn’t turn out the way I pictured my kid are always very appreciative.
I’d say when it comes to cookies I’m more of a taste tester. I LOVE baking them, but I’m more adventurous when it comes to cake decorating or cupcake decorating! Love your site bakerella! CANNOT WAIT FOR YOUR BOOK!!!! :o)
I’m definitely a taste tester BUT I want to be an adventurous cookie baker! YES I DO! Squee!
Dreena
I’m not an adventurous cookie maker but I could be with that book!
definitely a taste tester buuuuut i could become an adventurous baker with this book!
Right now i am experimenting trying to find the perfect sugar cookie and icing. so YES, i experiment, and i think along with that comes testing….doesn’t it?!?!? thanks for the great contest!
wow, these are beautiful! Can I be both?!? Adventurous baker that must taste her creations! ;-)
Hope you had a happy Easter!
I like both. When time permits I am an adventurous cookie baker. When short on time I use my old standbys.
Love this book! I’m an adventurous cake & cookie baker!
Adventurous! Although going along hand-in-hand with being adventurous is a lot of taste-testing. =0) YUM!
Haha! I have another funny story to tell you about these! I saw something very, very similar to this many years ago right before I got married. I had the bright idea to make them for my wedding shower (I didn’t know anyone else adventurous enough to make them, nor was I brave enough to ask them to). I bought the ingredients and headed to my mom’s large kitchen to get cooking, fiance in tow. I read the instructions carefully, and got busy. I can’t quite remember what went wrong, but I remember WHY it went wrong: where the recipe called for “whipping cream” I used exactly what came to mind when I thought of whipping cream: Cool Whip. Um, not the same thing. Now I know. And I have never lived it down. I have not followed a recipe in the 10 years since then that my husband has not asked me, “Need me to go get the Cool Whip? ” Hardy har har, funny guy.
Now that I know the difference between “whipping cream” and “whipped topping,” I NEED this book! I need to redeem myself!
oh, oh, i want to be an adventerous cookie decorator!!
I love to bake but am not very creative (think more along the lines of chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies).
Adventurous baker…but I don’t take quality control lightly ;)
Cookie creator!
I used to be an adventurous cookie maker but I got bored and moved on to other things but I gotta say since I’ve seen the cool tools and books you show us I’ve been out of the game to looong !!! I LOVE all the ideas you show us… I’m so going to buy those flower cutters! Thanks so much for giving me a reason to get back into cookies again!
I think I would have to put myself into the adventurous cookie maker category! I love baking and recently made Rose Cookies on Sticks (my husband wants to call them Suckies (sucker + cookie) but I like Cookie Pop) for a group of friends who got together for The Bachelor finale :)
I am an adventurous cookie maker that sometimes wishes she would have stayed a cookie taster!
Thank you so much!
I am definitely an adventurous baker…I will try anything cookie-related once!
I am an expert taster and an adventurous baker wannabe!
I’m the adventurous type! And after seeing the hamburger and hot dog shaped macarons, I have to try them! With cookouts starting, these would be such a cute little dessert.
I’m a little of both! ;)
I am totally the adventurous baker!!! I saw those hats and was so bummed that I didn’t see those before the tea party I attended this past week. Oh well, there will be more! Now I’m wondering if there’s anything in there that could help me come up with something for my daughters’ fairy forest birthday party!
I love to make cute cookies – and my kids love to eat them!
OMG… I HAVE to make those lemon cookies!
I ‘m not a great cookie maker, but do better with cakes. However, I have a budding baker in the house who would love this cookbook! I’m trying to train her to take over all the cooking by the time she’s 5 ;) ha!
I LOVE making cookies!! I bought my first cookie cookbook when I was 7 years old, and I still have it!
I’m a little of both! Like to taste (really like to taste), and love to make em too (but nothing quite this spectacular!)
I’m a little bit of both. I have my tried and true recipes that I make frequently, but once in awhile I just have to try something fun. Your little bonnet cookies are adorable!
I don’t mind making them, but I’d rather just eat them! Great giveaway!
Definitely a cookie maker! Looking for ideas on mini graduation cookies.
I would love to give this book to my MOM !! She is the most adventurous cookie maker ever. I live 1400 miles away and she special ships cookies to my kids just because she loves to make them :)
I love to try new recipes, especially when the finished product looks so cute! Although, I don’t think there’s a baked treat that I wouldn’t like to taste :)
I wish I was more of a maker than a taster, but honestly I need a bit of help in the making department. I LOVE to try though!!
I definitely LOVE to make AND taste cookies! It’s a little downfall of mine, I love to make them and then end up eating too many of them!
Thanks for this chance to win!
Wow! I wish I had the talent to make those wedding cookies for my son’s upcoming nuptials in June.
I am totally an adventurous cookie maker! Love royal icing and recently started playing with fondant & gum paste. So much fun!
Maker, taster, if it involves cookies, I’m so there! And I’m always up for a good adventure! The book (and all the cookies inside) looks amazing. Thanks for the giveaway!
that looks like so much fun!! i would definitely give some of those a try!!
Content taste tester! Hehe ;) I’ll try my hand at some fancy cookies every now and then, though! :)
WHen I was litle, my dad made watermelon cookies for us, that would definitely be where I started in the book! How creative, hope I win!!
I’m all for adventure! I love to experiment with baking. But I’m also and a great taste tester too!
content cookie taster!
These are soo cute!!! I am definitely an adventurous cookie maker, but do agree that it obviously needs to be yummy in the end. You are wonderful and I have referred a number of my friends to your site.
Hi there
I love to bake
:):)
I love to eat the ones I messed up too
Cheers
Catie
I’m probably a little of both, although I’d love to be more of an adventurous cookie decorator!
content taste tester…but would love to become an adventurous cookie maker!
I WISH I were talented enough to make these cookies! Maybe the author could just send me some in the mail each week, and I’ll pretend I made them.
Hello
I am both
but would love to become a better baker
Darci
the cookies are so adorable!!! It’s almost a shame to eat them!! (notice I said almost!!) : )
I love to bake them and love to eat them! I would also love to get my hands on all the ideas in that book!
definately a taster
I’d say I’m an adventurous cookie maker and taster! Cookies are my favourite food, and I love making things look as good as they taste! I love cookie cookbooks, and I would love to try making the butterfly cookies!
I like to think I am adventurous, but I have never done anything with fondant…yet. It scares me for some reason. I will probably have to take a class!
I absolutely love trying new types of cookies! Some are definitely better than others; but, to me they are all quite tasty!
So glad to know you’re feeling better, Bakerella. You are in my prayers.
I love to make cookies, but usually just the plop-and-bake kind. I have made your cake balls, though, and decorated them like reindeer (with the little pretzel antlers, so cute!) for Christmas. My friends were amazed. These cookies hats look like I could do them, too.
I love to look but I just don’t get adventuresome very often! I think they are just darling though! Hope you are feeling better, I was happy to see a post this morning!
I have taken the plunge! I made some flower and chic cupcakes over the weekend for Easter. They came out half way decent. I am actually “practicing” for my step-daughter’s baby shower in two weeks, She wants cupcakes instead of a cake, so I will be making butterfly cupcakes for her Spring Garden theme.
Always love testing cookies whether it’s making them or tasting them. Some of the cookies posted there look really fun to try. The most adventurous I’ve ever been is the 800+ cookies I made as wedding favors 2 years ago when I got married.
content taste tester!!!
Those cookies look so fun! Happy Easter :)
I am definitely a cookie maker, but probably not so adventurous.
I’m an adventurous baker and these cookies look fantastic! I’m inspired!
I am a content taste tester! YUMMOLISH!
I go in spurts…for a couple months I’m a very adventurous cookie maker/baker, and then I get worn out and I’m a content taste tester for a while. But my family loves it when I get adventurous and start experimenting with the goodies on your website!
I have way more ambition than I have time, so I am definitely a taster at this stage. With that said, I made cupcake pops for the very first time over the weekend! Thanks!
I am always looking for new adventures in baking. This book would be an awesome addition to my collection!!
I try to be adventerous, but with a 5-month-old child, when I do get to bake, I’ve been sticking with the standards lately. It’s pretty much been chocoalte chip cookies or sugar cookies. Sometimes from a mix :o(
You are AWESOME and so innovative. I am following your footsteps all the way. Thank you for sharing your fabulous ideas. I am definitely going to try making these cookies :P
I love to make cookies and decorate them pretty…..when I have time. Although I think having them beautiful is important, I am never willing to sacrifice on taste to make them look better. I love to make cookie bouquets, they are sweet adorable gifts. I can’t wait to purchase this book (unless I win it ;) and take it to my cake club!
guess I should have said I’m a little of both, love to try new things (adventerous part) and HAVE to taste to be sure they’re ok for everyone else (content taster) :)
I love to bake yummy cookies but I’ve never made anything like these! Looks like fun to try!
