Here’s a little something I think you guys will like. It’s a Walnut Blondie with Maple Butter Sauce. I don’t know what made me think about this dessert, because I’ve only had it once. It was several years ago… maybe even eight. I was eating out at Applebee’s with my family and we decided to get dessert. Now, I eat out kind of often, but desserts are usually saved for celebrations. Birthdays and such. And, when I do get one, it’s usually the most chocolate thing on the menu and it never contains nuts. But on that day, it wasn’t my celebration. It was my uncle’s and I agreed to split this non-chocolate, nut-filled dessert – the whole while thinking about how much better the chocolate would be. Well, I was wrong. Way wrong. This might have even been the best thing I had ever tasted. (up until that point, anyway.)
So, if you’ve never been to Applebee’s and you’ve never tasted the Walnut Blondie with Maple Butter Sauce, that’s okay. Because, you’re in luck. I found a recipe from The Secret Recipe Blog that’s as close to the original as I remember it.
I promise you’ll like it.
Here are the ingredients for the blondies.
Mix it all up…
And, spread it all out in a greased and floured 8 or 9 inch square pan. (I used the 8 inch)
When the blondies are almost done, mix up your maple butter sauce. Here’s what you’ll need.
When the brownies are done, cool for a few minutes. Cut and serve while they are still warm.
Put one, or two, or six on a plate. Pile on some vanilla ice cream and slowly pour the warm maple butter sauce over everything. Top with any extra walnuts.
OMG!!!!!
Now, if you don’t have any ice cream in the house, don’t let that stop you from making this.
Actually, if one were to make just the blondies and the maple butter sauce, one might even want to cut up small pieces of the blondie and use the maple butter sauce as a dip. One might even end up dunking the whole thing in the sauce and getting maple butter all over their fingers that they then had to force themselves to lick off. However, I don’t know anyone like that.
Again, here’s the recipe.
And, now for a giveaway…
Cheesecake Factory cheesecake, Chili’s molten chocolate cake,
McDonald’s fried pies (hey, anything goes)

Creme Brulee at Maggiano’s Italian Restaurant…the best!
Like you, I generally only splurge on dessert on special occasions. There is a restaurant in Cincinnati, Boca, that makes a mean maple nut cheesecake and I’ll go with that one.
My favorite dining out dessert is from BJ’s Chicago Pizzaria (chain in Southern California). I love to get their White Chocolate Macadamia Nut deep dish cookie pizza (aka Pizookie) with a generous scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. It comes to the table hot and yummy! Great for sharing or when I’m PMS’ing and want a treat, it’s all mine!
Mine is simple but delicious. A chocolate malt from Red Robin!
There’s a local restaurant that serves fried ice cream. They make one with coffe ice cream and an Oreo crust. SO GOOD.
christianelynn1985@gmail.com
My favorite dining out dessert is a banana split from an Amish run grocery store near where i live.
They make it specially for me with:
Soft Serve Chocolate
SS Twist
SS Vanilla.
I don’t like fruit toppings so marshmallow goes on the chocolate, butterscotch/ caramel on the twist, and chocolate on the vanilla.
Top it off with whipped cream and nuts and a cherry I give to my mom and its perfect.
I love, love the banana spring rolls at PF Chang’s…the coconut ice cream that comes with it is to die for!
There’s a steakhouse in Toledo that serves the most delicious chocolate mousse in a box made of chocolate with a side of fresh whipped cream and raspberries. It is SO RICH but it is SO GOOD!
hetobeto at gmail dot com
molten lava cake from chili’s..Mmmmmmmmm
My current favorite is the Chocolate Beignet from Jazz Louisiana Kitchen – It’s SOOO good!

I love the Asphalt Pie from Wingers. Or, if I’m at a Thai restaurant, I get the Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice. Yum!!
The Chocolate Chip Calzone at The Claim Jumper. TASTY!
This post reminds me of my favorite Blondie from Applebee’s! They bring it out to you on a hot skillet…So good!!! britfarrow07@yahoo.com
So simple, but I *love* Texas Roadhouse’s Texas Hershey Brownie. Nothing is better than a huge, warm brownie topped with an entire slightly melty Hershey’s bar!
New York cheesecake (or possibly the chocolate cake) at Maggiano’s. i literally have never tasted anything so delicious.
Can I just lick the picture???
Mud pie from Red Robin….yum!!!
We love the white chocolate vanilla bean cheesecake from TGIF. I found the recipe at the same website and have made it a couple times. Simply indulgent. It’s now my eldest son’s birthday cake.
My favourite dessert is also from Applebees. I think it’s called Bread Pudding, cubes of bread so crispy on the outside and soft inside with a to-die-for caramel sauce. I don’t think they make it anymore though :(
Ooooh…I love the ice cream creations at Leatherby’s Family creamery. So delicious. I also love the asphalt pie at Wingers..
I love pizookies at BJs Pizza…half white chocolate macadamia nut and half chocolate chip!

Oh jeez. You’ll never believe this, but that IS my favorite restaurant dessert! I also love the Godiva chocolate cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory, and their hot fudge sundae cheesecake. Also, the strawberry shortcake from Steak N Shake is great. I love all dessert. From everywhere.
Hands down the Tiramisu, from The Cheesecake Factory or the Carrot cake, or the Key Lime cheesecake, or, or,….there are just too many choices:-) It’s all good!!
We went to Abacus in Dallas for Valentines day and had a wonderful Banana Brown Betty. It was the most amazing thing I have ever tasted!
I usually love any chocolate dessert but something I also enjoy while dining out is an asian dessert that is sticky rice with fresh mango. yum.
ohhhh!!! Can’t wait to make it. Just in time for Maple Syrup Season up here in Ontario….Canada that is.
It would have to be snickers cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory
ohhhh!!! Can’t wait to make it. Just in time for Maple Syrup Season up here in Ontario….Canada that is.
I love Culver’s lemon meringue cheesecake custard, yummm!!
oooo…definitely the triple chocolate meltdown @ applebees! the combo of warm hot fudge + vanilla ice cream + perfectly spongy choclate cake = heaven!!
Yummo! I can’t wait to try your brownies.
My favorite dining out dessert is an oldie but a goodie…hot fudge cake from Shoney’s! When I was a young girl, getting that hot fudge cake was a real treat for our family. We didn’t have much money when I was growing up, and really didn’t get to eat at a restaurant more than a few times in my entire childhood. It’s been years since I had that hot fudge cake, but I can say that it was the best I ever ate!
I can be contacted via email. Go to my profile page for the link. Thanks for the opportunity to enter. I’m hoping I win! ;o)
I love to get the Birthday Cake Remix in a chocolate dipped waffle bowl from Cold Stone. YUM!

I LOOOOOOOOVE the Blondie from Applebees!!!! Yummy! Yummy! My FAVORITE for this week!!! HA! :)
I love going to Carraba’s and getting their chocolate mousse cake dessert. It is to DIE for.
I am such a dessert person but, unfortunately, I rarely dine out other than fast food and usually if I do I’m too cheap to get dessert! I do love most chocolatey/candy cheese cakes at the Cheesecake Factory.
Chili’s molten chocolate cake with extra caramel is my all time fave!
I’m a cheap date. My favorite is the berry sundae made with chocolate frozen yogurt at Costco :)
Hmmm I think anything from the cheesefactory scores real high in my book!!! YUM!
-Heather C.
My favorite dessert has since been discontinued, but it was the Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory.
Apple Empanada from Taco Bell :)
Ina Garten’s Homemade Toasted Coconut Marshmallows! Out of this world. Perfect white dreamy clouds of coconut fluffiness….you must try these!! They get rave reviews at every pep rally, fair, bake sale, party and function I make them for…(they will photograph tremendously on your site with your camera ;) enjoy!
Definitely Chilis Molten. It’s the BEST ever. It used to be the High and Mighty Ice Cream Pie but they stopped making it! :(
My favs or either a fresh, homemade banana pudding, but places to find “real” banana pudding are few and far in between or a hot fudge brownie sundae from just about anywhere. Something about the way the chocolate melts the delicate vanilla ice cream…yummmy.
for me it will always be the Dulce De Leche cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. I am soooo drooling just thinking about it.
A night with the hubby and the Molten Lava at Chili’s – priceless.
If you ever go to Torrance, CA you have to stop by the King’s Hawaiian Bakery and Restaurant!!! They have this AMAZING cake called Hawaiian Paradise – chiffon with whipped cream – soooooo gooood!!!!
Raspberry cheesecake from Ziegfrieds in Salt Lake City, UT. It’s a German delicatessen and it’s amazing! The cheesecake isn’t as sweet as we’re used to in the US, which somehow makes it so much better!!!
I think you have officially cemented your place as my favorite blog with this post. This blondie is my absolute favorite dessert and has been for years. I’ve always wondered how to make that amazing maple butter sauce, so I’m pumped!!
I also really love the Factory Mud Pie with all coffee ice cream at Cheesecake Factory!
Cheesecake….or Harvest Pie from Coco’s!! Yum!!
I wish McDonald’s still FRIED their pies. I don’t eat them anymore because I don’t think they’re as good baked!
But favorite dessert out? Hmmm. I’m pretty partial to the Fried Cheesecake at “insert favorite steakhouse here.”
How can you go wrong with cheesecake that is FRIED?
There is this nice little restaurant in downtown Des Moines, WA that makes the most incredible pies. The absolute best is a Raspberry Devonshire Cream Pie. It is a nice flaky crust smeared with Devonshire Cream and topped with a HUGE mound of Raspberries thickened with gelatin. It doesn’t sound as decadent as it really is but OMG is it yummy.
april@perrypack.com
I love the cookie monster at a local restaurant. It’s a large choc. chip cookie baked and served in a small skillet with a large scoop of vanilla i.c on top. Topped with a nice, thick hot chocolate sauce and to make it even better, a cherry on top!
aprilsconfections@yahoo.com
My favorite is the maple butter blondie at Applebees :) No joke! I am so stoked to see this recipe and will be making these this weekend.
I have to vote for the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory, it is incredible!
Definitely the chocolate raspberry cake at Filomena, a great Italian restaurant in D.C. Sometimes I go just to get the cake to-go. MMM.
Hands-down, my favorite is the seven-layer chocolate cake at Claim Jumper. I mean, if you get it to go the takeout box looks like a shoebox! We always get one any time we go, and then just pull it out of the fridge and take a couple bites whenever we get a chocolate craving. Fabulous!
I love the chili’s molten lava chocolate cake….I found that the eagle brand boxed dessert is very close to the same thing. I think it is called Triple Chocolate Treasure or something like that. Yummy, I love dessert!
Wow, my mouth wated just looking at it.. and I just started dieting yesterday. Yum, it looks amazing!
My absolute favorite eating out dessert is Outback’s Sidney’s Sinful Sundae. It is amazing! It is vanilla ice cream rolled in toasted coconut and covered with chocolate sauce and has whipped cream and strawberries on top. They make the best chocolate sauce. My friend and I thought it was just some really awesome sauce out of a jar, but our waitress informed us that it was homemade and gave us some to take home one time. (my email is bmgarrett@gmail.com)
I am a huge ice cream fan- my favorite dine out dessert would probably be a brownie sundae with hot fudge… at almost ANY place that sells it.
Cheesecake, especially chocolate cheesecake. Yummy!
I love the Maple Butter Blondies from Applebees! I usually get mine with the ice cream on the side. I dig into the blondie and the kids share the ice cream. I think I get the better half of that deal. :)
Vanilla bean cheesecake from cheesecake factory! yumm
turtle brownie sundae from Dairy Queen – heaven!!!!
fairydust825@hotmail.com
My family goes on vacation to eat. We were eating our way through Northern CA and one of the restaurants we went to was Ian’s. It was the first time I had creme brulee and I still think about it, even though it was probably fifteen years ago. I order creme brulee fairly often, but never again have I found one that good. Mmmmmm.
firegirl7578@yahoo.com
I’d have to say the chocolate nachos at Cheeseburger in Paradise.
I’m all about the Lemon Cake at Olive Garden….I have a psuedo recipe for it that’s delicious as well, but it doesn’t come close!
Usually I like the Molten Lava Cakes (warm chocolate cakes served with ice cream) but after seeing this dessert, I might have to switch!
Yummy.

Arby’s Jamocha Shake. Anytime.
I have always loved the Strawberry Tall Cake at Ruby Tuesdays. It’s enough for two or three people.

My favorite is anything chocolate! Seriously. I don’t care where I am…just serve me up a rich chocolate dessert, preferable with ice cream and I’m in heaven.
Chili’s Chocolate Molten Cake!!!!! YUM!!!!
My favorite dessert is the tiramisu cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Their hot fudge sundae is pretty darn good too. Great. Now I am dying for either of those!
The cheesecake with strawberries at Bravo (Cucina Italiano).
contact:princess396@gmail.com
Mine has to be the ALMOND JOY SUNDAE at Coho Cafe here in Issaquah, WA.

Definitely the Lemon Cream Cake from Olive Garden. If you ever find the recipe for that I’d be thrilled!
cdackmann@gmail.com
mmmm, fruit tarts from Kneaders bakery. YUMMOLA!
The Great Wall of Chocolate cake from PF Chang’s. There is nothing better than that. Seriously. Although my mom might disagree and actually choose this one from Applebee’s. She LOVES this dessert.
I just had one of the best things I’ve ever had, and I’m still thinking about it…Sticky Black Rice with Coconut Crusted Bananas. It was heaven on a beautiful plate…
I had it at the Thai Cafe in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The black rice was perfectly sticky and slightly sweetened with a slight coconut milk flavor. It was molded in a cup and released in the middle of the square white plate that had been drizzled with strawberry sauce in a zig-zag pattern. And on top of the rice was whipped cream with a cherry. The bananas were cut length-wise, lightly battered then coated in coconut, fried and placed on top of the strawberry sauce on either side of the rice…it was beautiful. And of course, delicious.
I think my favorite dessert had to be a Chocolate Chimichonga (sp?)from Rio Bravo. It was the simplest of desserts. A Hershey’s Chocolate bar wrapped in a flour tortilla and deep fat fried, then served with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. OMG! It was to die for!
My favorite dining out desert has to be creme brulee. So decadent & so delicious! It's especially good at Anthony's restaurant here in the pacific northwest.
I love the chocolate lava cakes at applebee’s…mmmm
I love the carrot cake cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. Also, we have a local eatery, Nick and Jake’s that has the best carrot cake…
julimcguire@kc.rr.com
I love the carrot cake cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. Also, we have a local eatery, Nick and Jake’s that has the best carrot cake…
I love a good apple pie…tart, tender-crisp apples, flaky, buttery crust, and lots on cinnamon-y syrup! Yum!
Oooh…that looks so good! That’s going in my “bake while I’m still pregnant and have an excuse” file! :)
My absolute fave eat-out desert is Tiramisu from Olive Garden. It makes my heart sing.
mritzpark@yahoo.com
I love Olive Garden Lemon Cream Cake! I usually ask them to bring it first!
princsjn@yahoo.com
You can’t go wrong with pizookie from BJ’s!
I really love the kaluha ice cream pie from On the Border!
I think it would be a Culver’s Concrete Mixer…chocolate with brownies and heath bar…or brownies and mint, or any other option, really.
olsenfamily21@gmail.com
You hit the nail on the head…. this blondie dessert from Applebees. Cheesecake Factory is pretty good, too!
jrlane@wcoil.com
OK, there are few of us out there, but I’d totally take a Cadbury cream egg over any dessert, any day. Yes, yes, I know, there are those of you out there thinking “eeewwww.” But, I know there are some of you out there that wait for the day after easter (when they go on sale) to stock up!
My favorite dinig out dessert is a toss up between sweet coconut rice at my favorite Thai restraunt and Chocolate Tuxedo cheesecake from the cheesecake factory! SO YUM.
megankunzphoto@yahoo.com
I love the molten chocolate cake at Chili’s. Anywhere, actually.
I have three favorite favorite eat out desserts!!!

Warm chocolate chip cookie cake with milk chocolate filling. Topped with vanilla ice cream under a crunchy chocolate shell.
Ruby Tuesday

Slices of chocolate cake are layered with creamy chocolate mousse, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and luscious chocolate and caramel sauces.
Red Robin
Mountain High Mudd Pie
Our special creation of chocolate and vanilla gourmet ice cream, peanut butter cookie bits, chopped peanuts, fudge & peanut butter in a chocolate cookie crust. Served in a "pool of chocolate fudge" & caramel sauce topped with whipped cream, chopped peanuts & a cherry.
Who could turn down a POOL of chocolate fudge. I certainly couldn't!
email: beccaweckio18@yahoo.com
The Great Wall of Chocolate at P.F. Changs!! Definitely!
Six layers of rich chocolate cake frosted with semi-sweet chocolate chips served with raspberry sauce.

Apple pie a la mode at mom and pops…it’s just so simple and yummy!
i’m pretty sure i love love love all desserts – especially if it contains ice cream.
i’ll go with what i’m craving right now – which is tiramisu from Buca.
Yum!
omg i absolutely love desserts, and yours looks so delectable. the morton’s steakhouse molten chocolate cake dessert is SO YUM. i could eat 5 or 20 of those.
The best dessert I had dining out was the Pizookie at BJ’s…a BIG chewy chocolate chip cookie in a pan right out of the oven with about 3-4 vanilla ice cream scoops smack down in the middle…it was scrumptious!
Kelly C.

My favorite dessert is apple pie, no matter where it is. I just pretty much LOVE apple pie.
My favorite is the chocolate coconut cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. I must have it whenever I go there… or drive by there… or think about the restaurant.
I am diabetic so deserts are hard to come by. Cheesecake Factory has a sugar-free cheesecake which they serve with fresh unsweetened berries that is really delicious and lets me indulge like everyone else.
The “Cookie Monster” at Cheddar’s makes my heart (and tummy) happy!
Cheesecake factory peanut butter cheesecake or a really done well creme brulee
Oh good lord! This is ACTUALLY my favorite dining out dessert!!! I’m ridiculously excited and I’m making this tonight! My husband is going to be sooooo excited!!!
Velvet H.
Harriotv@hotmail.com
Mmmm…I just love dessert. I really love white chocolate ice cream from Coldstone Creamery. I mix in raspberries and brownie chunks. So delicious!!!
shave ice w/ mango and strawberries and condensed milk.
Chocolate Mountain Fudge Cake from Black Angus….. Hands down my favorite!
Chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting, doesn’t have to be homemade, can be from a box and frosting from a can, this combination is just the best thing ever!
My fave is Strawberry Vacherin from a local restaurant. I just can't go past it. Here's the description: meringue nest filled with whipped cream & fresh strawberries covered in chocolate sauce. Mmmm
I really like UNO’s apple crisp. It has just the right amount of caramel sauce. Some places put too much, but UNOs knows whats up.
Nothing like a good old banana split from Dairy Queen. Thanks for posting all these yummy recipes for us.
gina@cyclops.tzo.com
You can’t beat the red velvet cake shakes at our local diner. They stick an entire piece of that cakey goodness in with vanilla ice cream. I’m dreaming about it right now …
Olive Garden Lava Cake or whatever it’s called. I call it Chocolate Heaven!
Famous Daves brownie sundae with chocolate sauce and oreo bits. no nuts!
I loved the “messy sundae” at Sammy’s Woodfire Pizza in San Diego. It was huge with yummy chocolate sauce and carmel sauce dripped all over the edges with walnuts stuck all over it. Scrapping the carmel and nuts off the glass was my favorite part.
I love the Cheesecake at Zio’s. We go sometimes just for that instead of a meal. Yummy!
At Cheddar’s.. the loverly southern version of Applebee’s; they have the cookie monster.. a fresh baked monster sized chocolate chip cookie served in a cast iron pan with the chocolate still gooey! and vanilla ice cream on top with hot fudge on top of that… You order it with your appetizer and get it for dessert! OMG. I know that Applebee’s is doing one like it now.. but its not the same at all.
I love, love, love the tiramisu at the Pasta House. I’m drooling just thinking about it.
I love the 30th Anniversary Cheesecake at he Cheesecake Factory. I usually can’t finish it, but I try every time. :)
Miranda
Johnston.miranda@gmail.com
It’s a toss-up:
My absolute favorite is the Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie from Chili’s (it’s the only reason I eat there!)
BUT..the Brownie Obsession at Friday’s is amazing too! :)
If it’s fall, the pumpkin pecan cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory is PERFECTION. Must have with a cup of coffee, however. I’m excited to have the Applebee’s blondie recipe too, that’s another great one. Thanks!
We have a local restaurant here in south Detroit that has a “chocolate spoonful” cake with three kinds of chocolate ganache. So yummy!
Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza in CA has a messy sundae. So messy! So yummy! Love your blog, thanks for the chance to win!
My favorite dessert would have to be the pizzokie from Bjs. Nothing is better than a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top!
I love Adam’s Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake, from the Cheesecake Factory. Unfortunately, we moved from Las Vegas and don’t have a Cheesecake Factory anywhere close to us.
i have to go with Cookie Dough Egg Rolls at a local restaurant in Nashville called Jackson’s.
while you may think this sounds funny, imagine:
a sweet, fried shell covering warm cookie dough.
topped with ice cream and chocolate syrup.
there is nothing better!
I actually have two fav desserts….
1. The brownie from The YardHouse. It comes out hot on a skillet (takes 15 min once you order it), has mint chocolate chip ice cream on top and then finished with carmel sauce. Yum!
2. The Pizookie from BJ Brewery. Any type of cookie from the menu once again coming out hot on a skillet with ice cream.
Both are not to be missed in Las Vegas!
Melissa
lissi121@yahoo.com
My favorite “dining out” dessert would totally have to be “The Lucky 8” from P.F. Chang’s. I don’t believe they have it on the menu anymore, which is awful, but they’re super amazing. It’s these chocolate creme filled wonton wrappers that are really long and you dip them in peanut butter and roll them around in toffee brittle. Sounds complicated for a dessert, but they are soooo worth it!
My absolute fave dessert at a restaurant is Cheesecake Factory’s Dolce de Leche cheesecake. It’s got a caramel flavored mouse on top with whipped cream and caramel on top of that!
Yummmy!
Fried Ice Cream from a little local Mexican restaurant is a family favorite!!!
So many to choose from!
I guess I’ll pick the most memorable…
Carrabbas’s homemade vanilla Blue Bell ice cream with a caramel and roasted cinnamon pecan sauce. Simply delicious. On our first date and on the night we got engaged, my husband and I ate at Carrabba’s and had this dessert.
(You can contact me via my blog: namabanana.blogspot.com)
Hmmm, I don’t know if this counts, as it’s a dessert-ONLY establishment, but I love Baskin Robbins hot fudge sundaes with Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream (with whipped cream and nuts, no cherry).
Other than that, I don’t have a favorite dessert when we’re eating out. They’re never as good as what I could make at home.
We have a local restaurant here and they have the best bread pudding (served warm, of course, with ice cream and some kind of secret sauce…caramel…butterscotch…who knows, but it is heavenly :).
I’ve tried it at other places and so far, none can compare. Maybe that could be your next “project/mission”!
BTW – my email is: jennifergalloway777@hotmail.com
Thanks~
Chocolate Brownies with Ice Cream from just about anywhere! A little hot fudge on it is also so good!
I LOVE the Giant Brownie Sundae at BD’s Mongolian BBQ… It is sooo big and sooo good, Its something my fiance and i share every time we go there! So worth every calorie!
sobegirl86@hotmail.com
Mine has to be Abbotts Frozen Custard–perfect in the summer when you’re out at the lake—
After that, anything italian–cannolis, tiramisu, pizzelles…
Oregano’s pizza cookie, any flavor!
I’ll be honest, dessert is my favorite part of the meal. When I go out to eat with friends, no one ever orders dessert! But me, oh I live for it. In every day life, ice cream is my dessert of choice. But I love anything that mixes hot and cold … like brownie sundae, or the Sizzling Apple Crisp at On the Border. yum.
I usually like to order cheesecake if it’s a celebration. It’s pretty much a toss up between plain cheesecake with strawberry topping or chocolate cheesecake with caramel topping. Both are incredible!! The cheesecake at Copeland’s is probably at the top.
mjshirley@centurytel.net
Crème Brûlée hands down…and I think that the best version comes from Anthony’s Home Port in Olympia – at least so far because I try it at every restuarant that has it on the menu.
I love Baskin Robbins Peanut butter and Chocolate icecream!
tnkjensen@comcast.net
bj’s brewhouse triple chocolate pizookie. it’s the most sinful, yet the most heavenly experience!
Mmmmmm…. Old Chicago’s Famous Big cookie… served up in a pizza pan, warm and gooey in the center, topped with ice cream and caramel sauce!… ok, back to my low-fat Yoplait. :(
amy.oneil2004@gmail.com
I don’t know if they still have it, but the Chocolate Lasagna at Olive Garden.
Julie
juliekujawa@comcast.net
That recipe looks so good, and your photo is fab of course. We have a local restaurant here called Mojo’s and they have a really yummy banana pudding!
Hot, freah Krispy Kremes are sugar covered heaven!
~Amanda~
agilebrt@student.life.edu
hacienda colorado’s helado cajeta is my very fave- cinnamon ice cream rolled in coconut, pecans, and caramel. but wow, i might need to run to applebee’s tonight or start baking!
I don’t usually order dessert when I eat out, but my favorite “dining out dessert” is creme brulee from a little Italian restaurant in Orlando.
There’s a place in San Diego called Extraordinary Desserts (I know, sounds good already). They specialize in cakes, custards, and cookies, anything you can imagine, really! Absolutely anything from there is simply divine!
OMG that looks a-mazing!! not that your posts don’t always make my mouth water, but, really wow today. But for my favorite dining out dessert- it’s got to be a New Orleans tradition from back home! A good old fashioned beignet (with cafe au lait of course) from Cafe Du Monde! yuuuum
I was so sad when TGI Friday’s got ride of their Oreo Madness! I love all dessert though…I actually prefer to make my own desserts. I love a good gooey brownie with vanilla ice cream! Delish!
amcconkie@hotmail.com
I love any kind of ice cream.. but if there is a Mexican restaurant with fried ice cream. Sold.
The fried ice cream at our local mexican place is to DIE FOR! Yum!!
talleycakes@yahoo.com
Honestly, a McDonald’s hot fudge sundae keeps me pretty happy.
Thanks, Kristin
kristinsuefisher@yahoo.com
Mmm! What a yummy dessert! I better go with the bread pudding at a restaurant called the “Landmark” in Mesa, AZ!
Chili’s white chocolate molten lava cake. I wish I knew how to make it!
I agree with you that this is one kicking dessert. But my favorite is this 8 layer citrus cake from a breakfast/brunch diner in Kansas City.
Goodness, it is so hard to choose I love all desserts!
However, if I have to choose one I would say cheesecake of any sort; I am a huge cheesecake fan.
I love flourless chocolate cake or molten lava cake from any good restarant.
Any cheesecake from The Cheescake Factory! How can you eat there and NOT order a slice?
lsallen88@yahoo.com
Tres Leches from Cafe Rio! TO DIE FOR!!!
steffanie_wynn@yahoo.com
The Blondie is actually my very favorite! No way can I share.
I also love Fried Icecream.
I love the brownie cheesecake shake from Arctic Cricle- it is great!!
Chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Heaven on a plate. Yummmmmmmmmmm
I LOVE the Mascarpone Bread Pudding from Johnny Carino’s. Its not too wet, and is perfect served warm with caramel and vanilla ice cream. My girlfriends and I fight over it when we go there!
I love, love the paradise pie at Haleiwa Joe’s Seafood Grill in Haleiwa, HI. It is this huge slice of Kona coffee ice cream with oreo crust. But the best part is that it is topped with a belgian bittersweet chocolate sauce + whipped cream and toasted almonds. It is the perfect ending to any meal and any beautiful day spent in the ocean!
I love the Dolce de Leche cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. However, Applebee’s used to carry the BEST dessert ever, the apple-chimi cheesecake. It makes me sad that they no longer offer it. :(

My favorite is from a local Mexican food chain called Hacienda. They have this giant cookie they heat until it’s gooey and warm, top it with 3 scoops vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. Heaven.
We’ve got a frozen custard stand in the neighborhood that is great! My favorite it chocolate custard with Reeses Peanut Butter cups mixed in. This beats any dessert out there!!!

I’m going to go for the obscure here, but it’s the only dessert I order EVERY TIME I eat at the restaurant: in Le Pavillon hotel in New Orleans, their main dining room is a fancy pants place called The Crystal Room. They have the best. strawberry shortcake. ever. No lie. Otherwise, sometimes I swing by Cheesecake Factory just to get a piece of the really big chocolate cake to go. Entrees need not apply.
