KitchenAid launched 1,000 Cooks for the Cure today and I’m thinking pink! And raspberry, too! (Enter below for a chance to win this beautiful berry colored mixer.) But first let me tell you a little about 1,000 Cooks for the Cure and how you can host a party to help an amazing cause at the same time. KitchenAid in partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure helps raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Their goal is to have 1,000 cooks host a party, potluck, bbq or any get-together large or small with friends or family anytime between July 18 and July 27. Cook for the Cure gives people with a passion for cooking a wonderful way to support a meaningful cause. Host an event and encourage guests to donate to Susan G. Komen® sometime during this week-long fun and fundraising initiative.

I know a lot of people affected by breast cancer, some who have overcome it and unfortunately, some who didn’t make it. So anything I do for the Cure is for both of my grandmas, a couple of aunts and cousins, and a friend. I love this color, and I would always think of these people while using this, and perhaps host a bake sale with what I make with it! :)

Love the color! I would make these A-MAZING lemon tarts I had last weekend. A friend of ours is Scottish and his mother made them. I ate 5 of them. They were so good! Plus they were mini so they were really cute too! Totally your style. The filling is Shirriff Lemon pie filling and whipped heavy cream. (No sugar or vanilla in the whipped cream) The crust was like a short bread. 1lb. butter, 6 TBSP powdered sugar. Cream together. Then add 4 cups flour. Mmmm so good!

What a pretty color..I’d love to have a party for my mother and the ppl of her choice.. for she lives in a care home now and the food they provide for her isn’t to healthy..she would surely enjoy this..she has some great caregivers their..One lady is from Kenya she’s amazing..I’d make things my mother loved to cook and my mother was an amazing cook and baker just like I am..I use a lot of her recipes..she loves my cheesecakes I make so many different kinds and flavors. but I’d make the cheesecakes into cupcakes and put huckleberry sauce on the tops..she enjoys my huckleberry creations..It’s that time of season now have to get out and go pick them this weekend..lol..:)
