Cook for the Cure

KitchenAid launched 1,000 Cooks for the Cure today and I’m thinking pink! And raspberry, too! (Enter below for a chance to win this beautiful berry colored mixer.) But first let me tell you a little about 1,000 Cooks for the Cure and how you can host a party to help an amazing cause at the same time. KitchenAid in partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure helps raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. 1. great idea!!

  2. I absolutely love the color pink & have participated in many race for the cure events throughout the past. I would LOVE to host a pink party for all the ladies I know. Just for some fun & raising awareness. Being a nurse I’ve heard the stories of women waiting too late either bc they’re scared, believe its something else, etc. I’m all about some primary & secondary prevention. Think I want to throw a party like this for my bday– which happens to be in October. Your pics give me inspiration!!!!!

  3. I just love that color. #cookforacure

  4. This is a beautiful mixer. I lost my Mom to Triple Negative Breast Cancer 9 months ago and my baby sister was diagnosed with Breast cancer last Tuesday. I think it’s wonderful that this program exists.

  6. Hi Angie! Thanks for sharing all your great ideas. I got so excited by the pic of this mixer in your post that I showed it to my hubby and said “you have to see how good this mixer looks! How pretty is that?!” He looked at the pic and laughingly replied “yes babe it’s nice but that’s like me talking about cars with you!”

  37. Cake party for my mum’s family! I’d give the mixer to my mum too! She has this awful hand mixer that has two speeds (off and the speed of light) and sounds like a squirrel is running the motor.

  38. The saddest part to me is that although these treats taste yummy and look beautiful, they are the very types of food that feed cancer. I have a dear friend battling breast cancer naturally through diet. She was given only 2 years to live. It has been a tough discipline and she is on a very restrictive diet, but I am thrilled to report that in less than 6 months time, she has discovered that there is no longer cancer in her body (and she did it only through food and supplements – no chemo or radiation at all). She is going to continue to eat this restricted diet for another 1.5 years to assure that she has healthy cells growing in her body and then she will extpand her diet, but it will probably never include the types of food displayed here. I love the concept of “Cook for the Cure”, I just wish it actually promoted food that would help people cure. Food is very powerful in healing the body. Just something to think about.

  39. I would host a party for my best friend of 46 years. She has now been cancer free for 7 years.
