Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here’s a super last minute idea or more likely – an early idea for next year. Just something quick and cute.
And if you don’t need any treats, you might want to mosey on down towards the middle of this post.
I made little heart chocolates. Hi.
And packaged them up like tiny candy bars. Too cute. And thanks for reading.
This is super easy. You’ll need a candy mold though. The product number is in the photo below if you want to search for it. I found mine at Cake Art. The squares are 1.25 inch.
And because I have a mini candy coating store growing in my kitchen, I decided to use some of it up for these.
Melt pink candy coating and then using a toothpick, draw heart shapes in the cavity of the candy molds. Let it dry and then pour melted chocolate candy coating over the top. Mercken’s is what I used for these. Fill the cavity enough so it reaches the corners without overflowing and then tap the mold on the counter to settle and even out the coating. Repeat with the remaining cavities. Place in the freezer for a few minutes to set and then pop them right out of the mold and place on wax paper. Repeat and repeat until you have what you need.
Of course, you make these even easier and unwrap existing candy bars to use.
Now the fun part. I had these pink foil wrappers that were lonely and waiting to cuddle something. They were really too big for the bars I made so I cut them in half.
Lay the chocolate on the wrapper, fold the two short pieces first and then the long ones.
The foil is super thin so you can press it pretty flat.
These are also fun to wrap up your cake pops if you do simple decorations.
After your bars are all wrapped in foil, you can add paper wrappers.
I created these with different sayings.
Even one for the pinterest lovers out there.
Making your own wrappers is a cute gift or favor idea. Use the same process and create your own wrappers for your theme. You can turn any candy bar into something a little more special.
But now let me tell you why I really made these.
I bought something for myself a few weeks ago that I thought was the cutest thing ever.
Or at least the cutest thing that week.
It was on sale thank goodness. Wanna see?
It goes with the theme so far.
And it’s really what inspired these tiny wrapped chocolate bars.
But this chocolate is a little bit bigger.
And sassier.
The good thing is it won’t melt in my hands.

It’s pretty big, too. Actually it’s a really big clutch.
Big enough to carry all my cha cha chocolates.
Thankfully it has a chain strap, too.
And yes, I couldn’t help but make little Cha Cha labels. It’s just too much fun to say.
But I haven’t mentioned the best part about this bag. It turns out I didn’t just buy one.
Yep. Right now I have one for each hand and that just looks plain silly.

OOOOOHHHHHH! My super wonderful daughter would absolutely love this little valentine gift!! I would have snatched it up if I had seen it! She is probably only 1% rebellious to her parents, which is hard to find in a 16 year old girl! She is fabulous and I love and appreciate her!
That clutch is adorable! My aunt is a baker as well. I followed in her footsteps as a nurse and in baking. She’s been a big inspiration in my life, because she’s such a strong woman. Everything she has thrown at her, she seems to overcome. She’s a breast cancer survivor. She now has Multiple sclerosis, but she doesn’t let it get her down and usually showers me with baked treats when I give her her monthly shots. I hope I can be as strong in my life as this lady I love.

What a precious (resisting the urge to say sweet) clutch! I want to say something nice about my lovely grandmother, who spent all of the 14th calling her friends in India and wishing them happy Valentine’s days! It was so adorable to watch, and I’m so glad that she’s able to keep in touch with her loved ones in Bombay (she just moved to the US to live with my family here). She even made our favourite Indian desserts to celebrate the holiday :)

My husband did the SWEETEST thing when him and I first met online. I had been hankering for Baskin Robbins Love Potion #31 but where I was living, no longer had it available. :( booo…. (I was in Oregon, he was in Virginia).
Well, he took himself to the nearest Baskin Robbins, purchased a quart (mind you, a flavor he wouldn’t have chosen himself) and took pictures of himself eating it and sent it to me!

Oh my gosh…that clutch is SO cute!! Someone I love is my daddy…he loves me no matter and is always doing those little things for me to make my day a little better. In fact, he makes me a little breakfast sandwich every morning…it’s the perfect “I Love You” to get my day started right!!

My valentine’s this year: my 14 month old twin boys Gamble and Gage. They’re the sweetest things ever, and darned cute; best valentine’s a mommy could ask for!
My daughters are the sweetest people alive. They take care of my mom who has cancer. They take care of me who works full time. I love them to pieces.
My Valentine is actually 2 people. My Mom & Dad. Thanks to them I can pursue my dream of cake decorating while I’ve been looking for a job. I graduated grad school last year and my Sister graduated Law school and we BOTH can’t find jobs. Our parents have been supporting us and allowing us to pursue our interests until we find something that can help us pay off these student loans!!!

My sister is the most special person in the world! We are 10 years apart so growing up wasn’t always that great since I had the unfortunate job of babysitting and cleaning up after her. But as we got older, we grew a special bond, and although we don’t always come right out and say it, we know how much we mean to each other. Last year she was my maid of honour for my wedding – I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be with me on my wedding day. She is turning 18 March 3, and this would be a great gift to a special young lady!

I feel like every day is Valentine’s day in my life. I am blessed with an amazing husband and two pooches that turn me to mush. Those little faces, even with muddy paws, make every day better. My husband – simply because he does the dishes, laundry, sweeps, vacuums, and clean the bathrooms – which I really hate doing. And he does it without complaining.

My valentine is the best daddy ever. He’s patient and kind and loves others. He lets me stay home with our little boys while he works hard all week long. He is generous to the needy. He loves my parents. He’s goofy and makes me laugh. He brings me chocolate when I need it most. He shovels the snow from our driveway. He lets me make messes in the kitchen. He doesn’t complain about a messy house. He folds laundry (sometimes), ha!

Cute! I made Vanilla Custard Cream cookies for Valentine’s Day in the shape of a heart and sandwiched pink buttercream in between two cookies. They were the hit of the office. I would love, love, love this little clutch.

But what would I do if I won the drawing?!? Couldn’t give that cute little purse to just one of my valentines…maybe make them share custody…no, what probably wouldn’t work…oh dang! I’d just have to keep it! Maybe I’d let them borrow it…

i received the best valentine’s gift from my hubby. it was not in the stuffed animal or toys he got for the kids and i. it wasn’t the flowers or all the lovely things he bought. the real gift was his words of encouragement on a homemade valentine card that blessed my socks off! not only did he give me one super encouraging, loving and romantic card, but he made them for the kids also! they highlighted all the great things my kids do and how their personalities differ and are awesome in their own way!! what a man!! thank you for the lovely contest!! i hope you also had a great valentine’s day!

I had the best Valentine’s Day ever this year and it’s all because of my amazing boyfriend. We did absolutely nothing but just stay at home and watch a movie together. (I did happen to make him the cheescake bars from here and cut them in to little heart shapes which was messy but they looked fantastic!) But what I love most about my boyfriend is that we were perfectly happy just spending time together. He’s the first person who really sees me for who I am and we just connect in this way I never thought possible. He’s absolutely the sweetest! He would also think I was crazy if I ever showed up with that clutch but I think it’s fantastic! Hope everyone had a Valentine’s day filled with happiness and love!
