Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here’s a super last minute idea or more likely – an early idea for next year. Just something quick and cute.
And if you don’t need any treats, you might want to mosey on down towards the middle of this post.
I made little heart chocolates. Hi.
And packaged them up like tiny candy bars. Too cute. And thanks for reading.
This is super easy. You’ll need a candy mold though. The product number is in the photo below if you want to search for it. I found mine at Cake Art. The squares are 1.25 inch.
And because I have a mini candy coating store growing in my kitchen, I decided to use some of it up for these.
Melt pink candy coating and then using a toothpick, draw heart shapes in the cavity of the candy molds. Let it dry and then pour melted chocolate candy coating over the top. Mercken’s is what I used for these. Fill the cavity enough so it reaches the corners without overflowing and then tap the mold on the counter to settle and even out the coating. Repeat with the remaining cavities. Place in the freezer for a few minutes to set and then pop them right out of the mold and place on wax paper. Repeat and repeat until you have what you need.
Of course, you make these even easier and unwrap existing candy bars to use.
Now the fun part. I had these pink foil wrappers that were lonely and waiting to cuddle something. They were really too big for the bars I made so I cut them in half.
Lay the chocolate on the wrapper, fold the two short pieces first and then the long ones.
The foil is super thin so you can press it pretty flat.
These are also fun to wrap up your cake pops if you do simple decorations.
After your bars are all wrapped in foil, you can add paper wrappers.
I created these with different sayings.
Even one for the pinterest lovers out there.
Making your own wrappers is a cute gift or favor idea. Use the same process and create your own wrappers for your theme. You can turn any candy bar into something a little more special.
But now let me tell you why I really made these.
I bought something for myself a few weeks ago that I thought was the cutest thing ever.
Or at least the cutest thing that week.
It was on sale thank goodness. Wanna see?
It goes with the theme so far.
And it’s really what inspired these tiny wrapped chocolate bars.
But this chocolate is a little bit bigger.
And sassier.
The good thing is it won’t melt in my hands.

It’s pretty big, too. Actually it’s a really big clutch.
Big enough to carry all my cha cha chocolates.
Thankfully it has a chain strap, too.
And yes, I couldn’t help but make little Cha Cha labels. It’s just too much fun to say.
But I haven’t mentioned the best part about this bag. It turns out I didn’t just buy one.
Yep. Right now I have one for each hand and that just looks plain silly.

My husband is a sweet guy. I told him not to buy me anything for Valentine’s Day because we have 3 little girls and money is kind of tight. When you have kids, everything becomes about them anyways. But he still surprised me with some beautiful red tulips. They were such a surprise!

Someone i love- MY MOMMA! she watches my two little boys twice a week for me while i’m at work. She is their world and they cry everytime she leaves. She’s goofy, fun, loving and extremely thoughtful. When I get home from work, she’s not only made me dinner- but she’s done all the laundry TOO!! She’s amazing.

My daughter is the sweetest Valentine that I ever had! She’s 5 month old, and has started trying to give me kisses. I love this idea I am going to have to try it out! I am a preschool teacher and I have recently started making cake pops. The children in my room and my coworkers just LOVE them! They beg me to make them all the time and I use every excuse that I can to listen! I love the children in my room. Although they can be difficult sometimes they can always brighten my day with hugs and by saying “I love you Ms. Ellen”.
My sister has such a busy, difficult life, but always manages to make time for family. Love that! (She was also the one who bought me my very first kate spade purse at the kate spade outlet. Love that too!)

So something sweet about someone I love…there’s a special someone in my life who is the kindest most caring soul I’ve even known and I love her for it.
I have the best husband in the world. This was our 14th Valentine’s Day together and I love him more now than ever. He is kind, and generous, patient and funny….but best of all he speaks the same language as I do….CARBS! He eats all my baking without complaint, and luckily he has the metabolism of a 14 year old boy, so he keeps his svelte figure! :)
I usually don’t really make a big deal out of Valentine’s Day in my house but while my husband was a non chalant about the whole thing my 3 year old turned it into a birthday celebration (his was in January) and with each piece of candy he opened he sang “Happy Birthday To Me!” Everyone person he saw he told them it was his birthday and so had lots of birthday wishes on Valentine’s Day. I thought it was precious so allowed him more candy than I normally would have. How can you resist a child making the most of a really fun day!

I want to tell everyone how sweet and unselfish my 11 year old twin daughters are. On Valentines Morgan spent her own money on mommy, buying me a rose and chocolates. The other twin, Olivia, bought a huge bouquet of carnations and divided them between each grandma. They are the sweetest valentines that me and daddy could ever have.
I love my family and friends of course, but my new love this year is for my zumba family! :) Not sure what I did before meeting those great, supportive, lovely instructors! I am truly blessed.
My someone special is my grandmom. On Saturday we will be celebrating her 85th birthday. I feel so honored and lucky to have her in my life, as all of my other grandparents have passed away. She has always been my rock, my biggest cheerleader and motivator, my confidant and my friend. The love I have for her is hard to define because it is so strong. Since I know she won’t be here forever, I make sure to spend a lot of time with her and treasure every moment we have together. <3

Amazing! Valentine’s day always makes me think of my best friend. When we were younger we gave each other valentines so no one would be lonely on Valentine’s day. Now that we’re older, we just use it as an excuse to act like we’re 12 and make up ridiculous gifts. Every year I send her flowers and every year she sends me something red or pink (I got reusable grocery bags this year). It’s a fun tradition.

I love my husband more now after 21 years than when we first met. We have been through the ringer, but it proves that if you stick it out and try, love does win. My four beautiful children come in at a very close second. They are my joy.
I met my sweetheart almost 2 years ago. I didn’t think I’d ever love again after some really bad times. I’m mobility disabled, riddled with arthritis at 30, when my sweetheart added me as a friend on Facebook. We used to go to nursery together, then primary school and even high school! We met up soon after in person and had an amazing first date, there was even sparks in the sky (rare lightning out of nowhere). The rest is history. I’m so happy to have met the one who is willing to love and physically care for me and my 3 children when I’m unable to, he’s such a rare, wonderful, find and I’ll cherish him, always!

How cute! My husband is amazing….well most of the time. When I was in the hospital this past year he really stepped up and took over the care of our 5 year old daughter. My friends and family said he looked like a fish outa water but he did it! I am so grateful to have him in my life!

My morning coffee tastes so much sweeter when my darling husband delivers it to me while I lounge for a few minutes in bed.
My boyfriend and I have been together for two years. This week I went to a conference, and there was a “yoga in the workplace” session, which was basically a short yoga class. When the teacher said “think of a beautiful place that makes you feel good, like a mountain or the beach”, my boyfriend’s face popped into my head and I started smiling :)

I want to say that my hubby is the sweetest because when I made my first batch of cake pops (thanks for the inspiration, Bakerella!), he fell in love with them. Now when I make new batches of pops, he shows them off to his coworkers and always posts pictures of them on Facebook. :-) He’s the biggest fan of my baking. And I’m nowhere in the same league of some of you great bakers out there. LOL What a great Valentine, eh?

My Valentine this year was my baby girl, Gabriella, who is just the most scrumptious baby! She is the epitome of all that is good in this world and every day that I am blessed with being her mother is completely humbling, as I could have never done anything to deserve her. She is truly a grace from God.
…That said, I need to ditch this diaper bag…

This year my someone I love is my Mom. She bought me an adorable new purse and matching shoes from my favorite store just because and today when I got sick she made me a giant pot of cheese potato soup to make me feel better. Thanks for still treating me like I’m 5 when I need a pick-me-up Mom, sometimes being a 5 year old is the greatest feeling in the world.

I think my special someone is my dad- he is motivating to me as well as not being too harsh with what he says as to not hurt my feelings, and I admire that. I used to hate my dad when I was younger and now we get along very well.

even though it isnt valentines day, a lot of love goes out to my parents. being away from home for college they have never been more supportive, helpful and encouraging. I know that even if I’m a few states away they’re only a phone call, plane or car ride from anything I could ever need. family is always your first love and never fails.

We’ve been sick for days (I mean, never get out of bed unless it’s to the bathroom sick). It’s been horrible. I had a very rough day at work on Valentines Day, and instead of insisting we do what he’d planned (dinner and a movie), he spent the whole night cuddling me.
