Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here’s a super last minute idea or more likely – an early idea for next year. Just something quick and cute.
And if you don’t need any treats, you might want to mosey on down towards the middle of this post.
I made little heart chocolates. Hi.
And packaged them up like tiny candy bars. Too cute. And thanks for reading.
This is super easy. You’ll need a candy mold though. The product number is in the photo below if you want to search for it. I found mine at Cake Art. The squares are 1.25 inch.
And because I have a mini candy coating store growing in my kitchen, I decided to use some of it up for these.
Melt pink candy coating and then using a toothpick, draw heart shapes in the cavity of the candy molds. Let it dry and then pour melted chocolate candy coating over the top. Mercken’s is what I used for these. Fill the cavity enough so it reaches the corners without overflowing and then tap the mold on the counter to settle and even out the coating. Repeat with the remaining cavities. Place in the freezer for a few minutes to set and then pop them right out of the mold and place on wax paper. Repeat and repeat until you have what you need.
Of course, you make these even easier and unwrap existing candy bars to use.
Now the fun part. I had these pink foil wrappers that were lonely and waiting to cuddle something. They were really too big for the bars I made so I cut them in half.
Lay the chocolate on the wrapper, fold the two short pieces first and then the long ones.
The foil is super thin so you can press it pretty flat.
These are also fun to wrap up your cake pops if you do simple decorations.
After your bars are all wrapped in foil, you can add paper wrappers.
I created these with different sayings.
Even one for the pinterest lovers out there.
Making your own wrappers is a cute gift or favor idea. Use the same process and create your own wrappers for your theme. You can turn any candy bar into something a little more special.
But now let me tell you why I really made these.
I bought something for myself a few weeks ago that I thought was the cutest thing ever.
Or at least the cutest thing that week.
It was on sale thank goodness. Wanna see?
It goes with the theme so far.
And it’s really what inspired these tiny wrapped chocolate bars.
But this chocolate is a little bit bigger.
And sassier.
The good thing is it won’t melt in my hands.

It’s pretty big, too. Actually it’s a really big clutch.
Big enough to carry all my cha cha chocolates.
Thankfully it has a chain strap, too.
And yes, I couldn’t help but make little Cha Cha labels. It’s just too much fun to say.
But I haven’t mentioned the best part about this bag. It turns out I didn’t just buy one.
Yep. Right now I have one for each hand and that just looks plain silly.

It was love at first sight. Looking down, I laid eyes on the most beautiful thing. I was shocked, I never knew something so wonderful could exist! Having to cover my mouth to prevent the drooling, I felt my stomach flip over at the yummy sight. I discovered the name, and it was then that I realized what true love really was. Something sweet about someone I love… My husband is adorable and bought me a new clutch for going out a few weeks ago. We haven’t had the chance to use it yet, so he told me today he was going to make time this week to take me out so I can use my new clutch!
Those chocolates look wonderful! And the process seems simple enough for a non-baker such as myself.
My boyfriend! He’s not much of a crafts person, but, sweet man that he is, went through the trouble of learning to make flowers out of ribbon and gives me one a year so that “when we’re old and grey”, he’ll have perfected the art.
My special story is about my husband>
Right after we married I had to go into the hospital to have some tests run. He went to a grocery store behind the hospital and when he returned he was carrying one single rose. He sheepishly said “I wanted to buy you a dozen but I couldnt afford it. I then told him that for the rest of our life together that is all I wanted him to give me. For 41 years whenever he would bring flowers it would be that one single rose. That single rose has more meaning than if I was given a roomful of rose because in the beginning of our marriage, he gave all that he could afford and has continued to do so throughout our marriage —and more.
I love my brother and my dog. The most dependable men in my life.

I had a very nice V-day! My husband (yes, my husband) baked chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting and V-day decor! And then he gave me a dozen red roses! They look like silk roses but they are the real thing! We spent part of the day with our daughter and our almost eight month old grandson! He is the light of our day! He truly makes people smile! We had a lovely meal at a local restaurant and then the day was over! But truly a wonderful memory for my hubby and myself! Gorgeous candy and even more, gorgeous purse!

My husband sent me 1 1/2 dozen red roses…at work…where we both work. We don’t show a lot of affection at work (which is good), so this was such a sweet gesture from him. We were also apart this year (again) for Valentine’s Day because we both travel for our job. Such a sweet surprise!
My husband and I were not able to be together on Valentine’s Day, as he was working out of town:( I sent him a heart shaped pizza and he sent me a heart shaped Vera Bradley jewelry box :)

I had surgery this past Thursday on some delicate parts and my sweet valentine cooked and cleaned for me all week and ran to the store late at night when I was feeling extremely nauseous. I thought the factory had closed, but it reopened just a week before Valentine’s day. I thought I would never eat one again, but my fiance keeps track of stuff like this and surprised me big time!

That clutch is to die for! So cute. My Valentine is my husband who works hard and makes sacrifices to provide a wonderful life for his family. He left his NYC career to move to a more affordable city so I could stay home with our daughter.
My hubby is not a romantic in a traditional sense. We don’t do Valentine’s Day in our house, but he makes me laugh a thousand times a year, and that’s better than any chocolates or flowers. He can get me out of a funk when no one else can, make me believe in myself, and help me see things rationally when all I can do is scream and cry. He’s the best. He also likes to do voices for our pets, so they can talk to me and let me know what they’re thinking (or what he’s thinking!). It’s alternately hilarious and adorable.
My husband is really the best. He got me a beautiful rose (because I love single roses – lucky him), got off early to spend time with me (during tax season even), and took me out to my favorite, busy restaurant.

My husband is the most generous, kind, and loving man I have ever known. He is also one great dad. Me and my two (soon to be three) boys are lucky to have him in our lives.

Every day I think of ways to make to make people happy because i love seeing people smile. Just yesterday I made a cupcake for a girl who doesn’t have many friends because it was her birthday. I also love to make cake pops for my family and friends. My valentine is the sweetest girl named Anna, she’s my best friend. She inspires all that I do and she is very encouraging. I love my husband. he is working day and night at his job and spending his days off working at his dad’s goat farm while his dad is recovering from prostate cancer surgery. I love that he is so devoted to family.
