Can’t wait to eat ‘tamales de dulce’ or sweet tamales. I would so eat them year round if it wasn’t for the fact they’re so high in calories. So once a year is good enough.
If it’s chocolate, I’m in. I promised my daughter we would make hershey kiss peanut butter cookies, we are doing that tomorrow!
My grandmother used to make the most delicious “fruit cake” from graham crackers, maraschino cherries, cream, dates and nuts. I wish I could have just one more taste of that! We made it at Thanksgiving and let is sit in the frig until Christmas. Ah…the memories!

I can’t wait for the xmas wreaths that my mom makes….they are sort of like rice krispy treats but with corn flakes instead. And my mom adds green food coloring. Then, you make them into a wreath shape and decorate with those little cinnamon candies. They are crazy good and they are always my favorite treat at the holidays :) YUM

I’m anxious to make peanut butter fudge, my mother’s chocolate fudge and her special “Martha Washington Centers” which are a coconut pecan ball dipped in chocolate. I always make Vienese crescents, chockfuls (spiced applesauce nut cookie) peanut butter cookies, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, cranberry orange bread, peppermint brownies and turtle brownies if I don’t run out of time.

Puppy Chow! We used to make it every year at Christmastime when I was little.
Our Christmas tradition is a Greek cookie that is loaded down with powdered sugar…literally butter, sugar and air! Wonderful.
