New York was a fantastic way to end the Book tour – or so I thought.

There will be one more recap and then that’s it.

I hear a bunch of you cheering because that finally means more baking … right?! YAY! YAY! YAY!

Anyway… Toronto is coming up this weekend. And it turns out I’ll be at two locations.

If you’re in Toronto, and can’t make the Williams-Sonoma signing on Saturday, I’ll also be at Teatro Verde at 4:30 pm on Friday. Hope to meet you guys.

  67. I love gingerbread cookies. My mom, sister, and I all decorate cookies and it is always a wonderful time together. Sweet treat!

  68. A dear friend of mine makes homemade hard candies for the holidays each year. She makes red drops flavored with cinnamon, green drops flavored with mint, and gold drops flavored with clove. I look forward to my allotment of clove drops each year and have to resist the urge to hoard them for myself!

  69. My mom’s chocolate and toffee bark. I loooooooove it so much and since I only eat it once a year, it’s the thing I look the most forward to eating. And this year I’m going to try and make it for the first time, so let’s hope it’s just as good! (Although, I doubt it will be….nothing is as good as when Mom makes it.)

  72. It’s not a dessert per se but I can’t wait to have my Dad’s enchiladas. However, they are sweet because he makes a hybrid sauce that is like a mole and enchilada sauce combo. We make Mexican for Christmas day every year despite not having a lick of latino blood in our family. It’s become a random tradition in our not-so traditional household. My mom and I even tackle making tamales some years. She’s mastered the masa.

  137. Penuche… for sure. My Grandma usually makes it around the holidays. It is so much work (like at least an hour or so of 2 people taking turns because it is hard work) but the result is just heavenly!!

    My family’s method is:
    Peanut Butter + Butter + 10x Sugar
    Mix in Crisped Rice
    Roll into balls
    Dip in chocolate
