We make poticia (a Slavanian bread from my husband’s side of the family) and St Lucia buns (Swedish rolls from my side of the family). The first is sweet dough with nuts and honey in the filling, and the second is a sweet egg dough with saffron and shaped into scroll type shapes then studded with raisins. Yum!

I can’t wait to make and enjoy “Christmas Tree Brownies”. They’re brownies cut into the shape of christmas trees and then iced with green colored icing and decorated with colorful M&M’s for ornaments. They’re a bit labor intensive, but it’s lots of fun and SO worth the end result!
