They’re Poppin’ Up All Over!

The Cupcake Pops I made last month on the Martha Stewart Show are a hit. From Oklahoma to England, Bakerellas all over are making their cupcakes pop and making me smile. It’s been really rewarding to see a little idea I tried out in my kitchen pop up all over the nation. So here are a few cake pops and bites that I’ve come across and wanted to share. I think they all did a FANTABULOUS job! And, If you have a minute for some sweet stuff, click on the arrow below.

And here are links to their posts so you can tell them what a great job they did.

  1. I made them but they didn’t turn out as cute as I would have liked and am looking for suggestions.

Mine were to big…hs anyone had luck finding the smaller cookie cutter?

Mine also didn’t hold the shape of the cookie cutter or it got mashed as I ws trying to pull it out…were my cake calls not cold enough?

Any and all suggestions would be great.

  2. Love theses but one problem, mine came out too moist. Can i just add more cake to the allready made balls to firm them up?

  3. as they should be

  31. I made the cupcake pops for the first time for father’s day. About 5 of them did not make it on the sticks to the party since it was 90 degrees outside and it was a 30 min drive!! Next time I will put them in a cooler!

  39. Finally, after much deliberation, it was a hit with my work colleagues, they were asking for more. The only thing is making them in summer time in Fresno, CA, is a challenge, in and out of the freezer, all worth it, when it all nicely packaged.
    Thanks.

  40. I made cupcake bites and a little cupcake box for them to go in.

I would love to see cute ideas for the end of school/beginning of summer, teacher gift kind of things…if you have any great ideas!

  47. I took these to work today for our monthly Friday social and they were, to say the least, a complete sensation. Even the ladies who usually pass up cake and goodies on the table kept coming back for more. I know I’ll get better (and faster) with more practice but I had a blast making these! Here’s my photos: http://costumepastimes.blogspot.com/

  48. I didn’t take any pictures of mine, but my 4 year old daughter loved helping me make these by adding sprinkles and m & m’s. What a fun activity to do together!

  49. You are so creative and amazing. I am constantly turning to your website for inspiration. Have any ideas for kindergarten graduations? :-)

  50. I made them for my husbands birthday! Kajsa from Swedenhttp://mell-is.blogspot.com/2008/03/nya-cakes-idag.html

  51. My sister made them for our sister in laws birthday party. They were such a hit!! We dont have coloured chocolate in Australia so we could only do brown or white… we used sprinkles for the colour

    http://comber-family.blogspot.com/2008/05/party-weekend.html

    thanks for the inpiration!!

  52. Add another Texas to the list cuz, yep, I’ve made ’em too and everybody loved them. I put a link to your website on my blog. Thanks! so much.

  53. I made these wonderful pops too. A dear friend challenged me to them. I always take a challenge. Thanks for your imagination. I love your ideas!

    http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=44740&l=cfb99&id=672830085

  63. Inga, maybe you can coat them in royal icing… (just egg whites and sugar, the same you can use in decoracted cookies, it gets hard and you can colour it too) I’ve been thinking about doing it so but didn’t try yet.

  64. I’m so in awe of these litte cupcake pops but my little girl is allergic to milk! Any ideas for a dairy-free candy coating instead of the candy melts since I’ve not found any without milk product?

  65. Wow, everybody. Great job on these. I’ll definitely have to do another round up to showcase you guys!

  66. Thank you for the link. I also tried your method with the mold and really enjoyed that as well. They’re on my blog today. Thanks for the inspiration and your excellent instructions.

  67. They are all so cute!

I just made them also as one of the desserts for my daughter’s baby shower here this Sunday~ Thanks so much for the idea!

  68. I did your “off the stick” ones, but I have to be honest, you rock, I had a heck of a time making them, way time consuming. Don’t know if I will brave them again, no matter how yummy they are!

    http://testosteronetimesthree.blogspot.com/2008/05/dont-think-i-will-try-this-one-again.html

  69. I made these for Mother’s Day & they were a hit! My first test batch was yellow cake. Yummm!

Second batch was for my Weight Watchers devoted mom. These were made using Diet Orange Soda with Orange Cake Mix & 2/3 can of white icing. Topped with a little sliver of Orange Slice Candy. I think they would be really yummy with a chocolate cup bottom.

Thank you for the great treat, Bakerella!

  70. OK, so my link didn’t work. They are on my blog @ http://www.shealynnbenner.com — see the post called “Something New” – scroll down and see. :) They were a HUGE HIT!

  71. I made them too!! :)

I made them for my Daughter’s Party. :)

  72. I made these a few times… Once for a baby shower with a pink and brown theme and then again for mother’s day. They are so cute and everyone loves them! I’ve used the Oreo cookie versions and they work out great!

  75. I can’t wait to make them too. You’ll soon hear from your lovely creations causing a commotion in Brazil! ;)

  76. Question…
Once you have made the cake “balls” can you freeze them? Has anyone successfully frozen and defrosted them? HELP! I would like to make these for a large party but they are too time intensive for the day before the party.
    Thx!!!!

  77. You can add Alaska to your list! I made Mint Truffle Pops for St. Patrick’s Day this year, and they were a HUGE hit!
    http://amichellebaker.blogspot.com/2008/03/mint-truffle-pops.html
