I didn’t realise that American cream cheese is very different to English cream cheese! apparently your is like a block and ours is a very thin spread. the topping was really liquid so I ended up scattering half of the topping on and swirling it in, with good results!
This looks so nice, that i wanna try it these day.
I’m from germany and we haven’t gere oz.
Can you tell me how much 1 8 oz. Cream cheese in gramme is?
I just took mine out of the fridge and they weren’t done at all in the middle :( I’ve made these before and the first time they came out perfectly abd the second time it was the same as this time …. Not done :( I’ve followed every direction ! Any suggestions?
I was inspired by this blog post to make red velvet & cream cheese brownies. Tasted great. (: Here’s a link if you’re interested in seeing the end result ^^
hi there just wanted to ask if it was ok to recommend your blog to my friends on face book i have founs a few really good recipes here didnt wanna do anything without asking permission first? thanks

I’ve tried different variations of the bars. I have used different varieties of cake mix as well as brownies. I love adding nuts to the mix as well. A friend made pumpkin cheesecake bars for Thanksgiving. They were amazing!
Thank you! I followed your recipe and it turned out very yummy! :) I would like to send some to my bf on the other end of the states. Can you suggest me any good method to send them without the cream cheese goes bad?
if you like cheese cake brownies as much as i do i can honestly recommend a recipe i made for my birthday not oo long ago… the hummingbird bakery’s raspberry cream cheese cake brownies, a triple delight! So yum! check it out on my blog and let me know what you think!
I was wondering if you thing that these could be made into a cupcake, or mini cupcake? or even a pop… i have had these when my friend made them, and they are awesome.
Cindy – I don’t really know. It was more of a topping – not very subsantial. I think if you tried it like that it would remind me of the lemon bars I made. Maybe if it had a crust-like bottom for support.
I would like to make this but really just the cream cheese part… would you thing adding flour would make it a consistency that would be able to stand alone???
Hi, I tried making these yesterday….the cake part is more like a mushy truffle is this normal? and also when you bite into the chocolate coating and the cake will it fall and crumble off of the stick? How can I make this better? Thanks Bernice

I have this cookbook and I’ve made these several times…one of my favorites!! Creamy Delish!!
Just made these and they did not cook through at all. I even put them in for 20 more minutes with no luck. :(
I would try putting the cream cheese in the middle.
Does this work with strawberry cream cheese?
Thank you for sharing. ^_^
This recipe is very interesting. I will try to make it this weekend.

Nevermind! I was thinking cane sugar, not confectioner’s sugar…so sorry about that!
How much sugar goes in the cream cheese topping? 1 cup right, not 1 pound? Thanks!
